Good morning to you! There is coffee and two brand new mugs. At the appreciation dinner we went to last night, both the Yeti and I won mugs that were created by the guest speaker, kind of funny. MIL also won a raffle item, a $100 meat bundle from a local business. It turns out that this was something I can also document going to for the Arts Board, so double duty.
I did accept two jobs and am working Tues/Wed for a teacher in Title 1 and then in a second grade classroom at the other school in 2nd, as she requested me. I won't go to book club this week, I didn't read the book as I had the dates goofed up. It seems to be working well for those working from home here and in the area. I got a message from the person who does the schedule for our (hometown) history center, I'll need to see if I can trade a day with someone as I cannot do the open dates as I will have a houseful and the other day is the Yeti's birthday.
Please add my brother Jim to the Grannie Prayer List, he is getting a pacemaker tomorrow. I hope this solves some of the issues he is having. In addition, he's quitting smoking, one week in and found out he is diabetic. They were talking to him about it and kept saying "your numbers, your Rx..." He told them he was not diabetic, they said yes, you'd think someone should've told him? Best get my fluffy self into somewhat better shape. Better get my fluffy self into some clothes too, not every day at school is Pj day, even though I think it should be. Hugs to all who need them. Blessed be.

Good Morning....
The wind has stopped blowing so hard and the sky is kinda gray. I think we've hit our high for the day and it will continue to drop all day. DH & I might go for a walk in a bit.
Lauriet...prayers that all goes well for your DB.
I can't believe how fast Thanksgiving is creeping up. I'm not a turkey cooker/roaster but might have to do one...not sure yet. I do much better with just a turkey breast. I have to see what DD's plans are and if they will be coming here or to her in laws. Her birthday is the day after Thanksgiving...so I do want to get together with them at some point. She is doing a craft show that weekend with a friend. She is hoping to sell some of her hats she knits and some other decorative things (knitted).
I remember Justme was worried that I might be the axe murderer when we met in Grammy's town...LOL I was nervous about the meeting too, as I'm not a big talker but we all had a great time. And, yes, Elle...I remember when you were not feeling quite right and we left the GN meeting early to get you home. And we had to take a detour on the way home because of some incident (don't remember what). We were really out in the boonies. That was before GPS (at least for me). We sure had fun meetings....the things we did...LOL LOL Lots of good memories.

Good morning.
A mild 60º this morning and I was lazy again and took the cart. Maybe I'm just happy that it has been running good for me. Mandy likes it when I take the long way home and she can see other places besides our home. She is a good passenger too.
This morning a trip to the UPS to return the pillow, and then to Walgreens for my booster. Right now I have a load of dark clothes in the washer. Just a little bit of floor cleaning to do at some time today. All depends on how ambitious I will feel later today.
Yesterday I got my hairs cut. Her price went up to $30 so not sure I'll go back or continue with Walmart. Both stylists do a good job, but I can't afford $30, that's $10 more than my stylist at WM. The issue I have with WM right now is that there are too many people this time of year and parking is difficult to find. Hmmmmm. My bank account may dictate what I do.
Since there isn't squat on tv anymore I'm enjoying all the Christmas shows on Hallmark. I've recorded many of them too. The ones I've recorded are mostly the ones I've seen before and really like. Some of the newer ones are just too sappy even for me.

Just want to say hi. Hope all of you are well.
I am taking a couple of days from the organizing. It has wore me out.
It is warmer and feels good.
Turned my heat way down.
I made a blueberry cobbler this morning, needed to use up the pie filling.
I had my little visitor this morning. He was tired and had to leave to go home and take a nap.
That isnso good about the family getting a home, Grammy.

Good morning grannies, it's a cloudy,dark day with temp going to near 60 this afternoon. Brrr it sure seems chilly.Oh,goodie I do see a little sunshine trying to get thru the clouds.
Laurie, glad you enjoy your morning coffee. It will be even better in the new mug. Sorry to hear that your brother is not well. Prayers for improved health.
CJ turkey isn't hard to cook check for weight and time pop it into the oven and let it cook till done. Hope dd does well at the craft show. The pictures I've seen show some nice work! Those grannie meets were lots of fun. Guess we all got to old to do them now but we do have some good memories of the good times. The Ms GN swimsuit contest was so fun time. Could you believe someone tried to bribe a judge!!
Mamma your plans for Thanksgiving dinner sound good! Living alone isn't the best time of our life but we do get to cook what we want when we want it.The first Christmas I was alone I bought a snowman place setting for me to use thru the Christmas season. Do whatever you feel like there's no right or wrong way to get thru the hard times. It does help to remember the less fortunate, do something nice and unexpected for some one else.
Carolyn that cobbler sounds good. I'll be over with my Cool Whip bowl!
This is game day so that means I have something to do this afternoon.

Carolyn, I wish I could just run right over....I love blueberry anything. Something blueberry will be my Thanksgiving dessert. Mark didn't much like blueberry.
Grammy, thanks for your words of encouragement. I'm really feeling at odds with myself and dreading the holidays and all that goes with it.
I"m so glad that I had an appointment for my booster. Good grief, I still had to wait half an hour. And the gal that gave the shot must have been new because it hurt like crazy. I've never had an injection that hurt like that. Geesh, what a way to start my morning. Oh well, I've got my fake smile on and ready to get on with my day. Maybe.

Good afternoon from sunny, mild Ohio. A beautiful day but there's a chill in the air, temp is 60*. It was Bible study and breakfast this a.m. We had several missing but there was a lot of good discussion going on. I want to make a phone call and I have meat in the oven, other than that, not much more in the day that I'm aware of.
LAURIE Coffee from a new mug just seems to taste better. I love coffee mugs and have more than I know what to do with.
CJ Thanksgiving is creeping up, it's just 2 weeks from this Thursday. Then JUSTME can get all her Christmas shopping done and gifts wrapped. She probably has all the gifts bought. You'll have fun with Teddy and Penny this year. It's so much fun to see the excitement in the kids!! I used the turkey bags when I fixed the turkey and always had success with them.
MAMMA Maybe I should go back to working in the salon. I would be rich at those prices. They're high here too and my girls get color and cut so it's very pricey. More than I will or want to pay. I guess everything is big bucks now. This is a hard time of the year for you and many others. It's one day at a time and each day, I can always think of something to be happy about and thankful for. Although, some days it's much harder than others.
CAROLYN Save some blueberry cobbler for me too. I'll bring my cool whip bowl too. I'm still hoping and waiting for my first DGC. Although I don't think it will be any time soon.
GRAMMY I forgot about the swimsuit contests. What a time we had. We kind of took over the pool and hottub and the lobby too. But wonderful memories and friendships came from all the fun, gifts and sharing.

Good Morning Ladies - - Well, maybe not, I see it's 2 minutes to 12. I was downtown for coffee. I went to one of the old neighbors and she drove my car so she could let me off at the door and then go park. I had French Toast & bacon for a change. It was good and the company even better. Now, I need to go vote and stop at the bank with a check.
Laurie, so your free week turned into back at school! Sounds like a good meeting last night and goodies for all! Prayers for Jim. Hope all go's well and recovery will be minimal.
CJ, fun looking back on the fun meetings - wish it would have worked for all of us to be together, but just too far in between. I know we would all have loved that. Your DD makes such pretty hats that I can't imagine they wouldn't sell.
Mamma, glad you and Mandy can go for your ride - - Haircuts can be a problem - I think mine are enough, but I guess that is all that I spend on my hair. No perms or colors. My problem with my stylist is location - Not always easy to get a parking space and then they sidewalk, even though they are new, are so hard to navigate. I think when they did the new ones, they were thinking of drainage, and so they slope - her DB has a barber shop in the front of her shop and he told me I should park on the sidewalk as some do, but that's not going to happen - I'd either get a ticket or would be penned in and be stuck there.
Carolyn, how fun to get your loving time with your boy every day! Enjoy
Grammy, hope you are having a good time at game time. I agree, cooking turkey isn't hard, but can get messy while you are carving . I think a turkey breast is so easy and so good. I haven't heard of any TG plans yet, but if I am alone, I will do a turkey tender.

Hi Ellie - glad you had a good time this morning. Sounds like you are getting supper taken care of too. I will have the last of the meatloaf and squash tonight, that I was going to have last night, and then after I made a pan or baked oatmeal again in the afternoon, I deceided to have that and toast for supper.

GREENBACK Parking is a problem for many people and can be a loss to the businesses too. My stylist is in a very small town, about 15 miles from me and is worth the drive. She's very good, parking no problem and the salon is comfortable and clean. I hope you will have company or be able to be with friends at Thanksgiving.
MAMMA Maybe you and Jill can get together for Thanksgiving. I don't remember if she's single or not. I remember she's shy. I hope you won't be alone although we make do with what we have.

Elle, Jill will be at her sistes for the holidays. She is from Yuma and some of her family is still here. The rest of my friends are going away too. I'll just pout and remember better days, well maybe I will.
I changed my mind on the chicken legs. Like someone told me, "life is too short to choke down things I don't like". So Mandy can have the chicken and I'll still have to find something for me to have for supper. Time to go and dig in the freezer a bit deeper. LOL I do know where the cold cereal is if the freezer has nothing interesting or easy. LOL

It's been a busy morning. As soon as Christina came in the door I knew she wasn't feeling well again. She was very sick to her stomach. We only went for my appt. & a stop at the bank. I told her to go home.
Elle Nice weather here today too Tomorrow the chill returns. Next week up & down temps.

Just popped a small apple crisp (2 serving size) in the oven. That will be dessert with a scoop of ice cream and drizzled with caramel sauce. Supper will be polish sausage with kraut, baked potato and a small butternut squash. I think I'm getting hungry...LOL

MAMMA {{{}}} I hope something will come up for you. I like chicken legs and thighs. I had so many chicken breasts that I can hardly choke them down anymore. If I have them, I'll dip them in ranch dressing or something like that. Or maybe in a sandwich but definitely not my favorite.
ICOOK Is Christina getting medical attention? She seems to be so sick lately. I just came in from a walk and it's very nice out there. Neighbors are raking/blowing their leaves etc.
CJ Open the door, I'll be there to enjoy the apple crisp. I have apples in the fridge and maybe I should make some for me. I don't have a lot of desserts made so that might work.

Elle She is under a Drs. care. I think a lot of it is stress. Her mom is giving her a hard time & she is raising her son be herself.
