ICOOK Stress can cause so many problems. I'm glad Christina is under a Dr.'s care. It's dark already, I have my jams on. LOL

Good afternoon/almost evening to all. It's been a beautiful day here, got to almost 80 degrees and will do so again tomorrow.
Neither Mike nor I got a lot of sleep last night. He slept in one of the other bedrooms, because that bed faces a different way and also it is lower than ours. Our mattress is so high that I have to use a stepstool to get into bed and Mike gets in it without one, but with his "attachment" and being so fresh from surgery, he didn't want to have to literally "climb" into bed. Well, the two spare bedrooms are across the house from our room so I was getting up and checking on him every hour or so and he was either awake or woke up each time I checked on him. About midnight, we opened windows up because it was stuffy in the house and he slept better for a while after that. About 1:30, we had a time emptying the bag (I came up with the idea of using binder clips to attach the bag to the dust ruffle of the bed), and getting him settled back in and then at 4:30 we were both up for a while getting him settled a bit better. We both got up about 7:15 and then getting him showered was quite the challenge and there was some bleeding which has since stopped so we both have just been worn out.
While he dozed after breakfast, I used up the lime zest and juice I had done last week and made some lime bars (like lemon bars) and a batch of coconut lime muffins. I then made a meatloaf and have it and two baked potatoes done for our supper. We will also have a salad and green beans and the lime bars or dessert. CJ, your apple crisp sounds so good, want to trade?
I also did three loads of wash and after lunch I intended to take my walk, but I was just beat, so I joined Mike on the couch and had a little snooze. When I got myself up, I got him settled in a sturdy lawn chair outside on the garage slab and he enjoyed being outside while I picked up the walnuts that have fallen since we hauled off the trailer full. Then, our across-the-road neighbor came by to visit him since she saw him sitting outside when she turned into her driveway and then we had a long phone call from #2 as she drove home from work. I just put the muffins in the freezer and will now unload the dish drainer from all the cooking pans, bowls, etc., that I used this morning.
Laurie, prayers for your brother tomorrow. And a hug for you as you worry about him.
Carolyn, do you use just a partial can of pie filling in your blueberry cobbler? That sounds mighty good, too.
Mama, my hairstylist had increased her price when I went back to her for the first time since being home last week. Let's just say that my cut cost over double what yours did--and then I left a tip, so, ouch! And, she cuts my hair dry, I don't get a shampoo with it. I always love my cut when I leave her chair, though.
Elle, I don't care for chicken legs or thighs, the breast is my favorite part--maybe we should share a chicken? LOL!
Jane, your French toast sure sounds good, too! I almost ordered French toast at the Pioneer Woman's restaurant, it was coated with Captain Crunch cereal! I opted for pancakes with three different flavored butters and multiple flavors of syrup.
I know there were others I wanted to respond to, but I need to get back at it here, so will wave, thank you again for your prayers for Mike, and wish you all a great evening. Hope to talk to you tomorrow.

DEBBIE I hope you and Mike will rest better tonight. It all takes time. I bet being outside in the warm, sunny outside weather made him feel good. And your supper sounds delicious. I love meatloaf. Sure, I'd love to share a chicken with you.
