Good Morning....
Starting out to be a nice day with temps in the mid 60's this afternoon. Sunny and bright right now.
Today is Teddy's birthday party. I know he will be very shy with all the people there. But it will be fun.
Elle...his party is at his house.
Mamma...well, I did it...I got a die cut/embossing machine. I was in Walmart yesterday and saw they had their machine on clearance. I have been eyeing it for a while. I went home and researched it and it got good reviews...so I went back and got it. Now to learn how to use it...LOL I ordered some embossing folders last night and should be here today. I'm not good at learning new things anymore, but I'll give it a try.
Not much news yet...so I'll wish everyone a great day...............

Good morning.
What a beautiful morning for a change. Sunny, no humidity and 73ยบ. It will still be a hot afternoon but I'll enjoy having the doors and windows open this morning.
CJ, congrats on the embossing machine. There is really nothing to using it, it's easy. Well some have too many plates that makes it complicated. Mine just has two. What is the brand that you got? I've never seen one in either of our Walmarts. I'm still thinking about reordering an electric one. Right now it's a bigger chunk of money than I want to spend. But my arms will be so much happier.
Just a quick run to Fry's for the milk that is on sale. Then start my weekend cleaning. That is all for today.

Good morning, it rained here last night, so it is definitely fall out. It's good to hear Grammy is doing better. I hope all continue to feel better. Cindy, what brand did you get?
The Yeti and I are going to meet to take Al to dinner tonight, we'll see if my niece wants to come too. His sister is off to FL, his dad got the port taken out, sounds like it is slowing down there. He planned to mow for the last time at our house, but since it rained he won't be. I had to do a quick morning mop in the basement as someone had an accident during the night, started the day that way but all are fed and have done their business, now I need to get ready. If I Donn't hurry I won't get a shower in. BBL, blessed be.

The brand is Hello Hobby. I got a couple die sets that were also on clearance. I tried them out and so far, so good. It will be fun to play around with.

Good Morning Ladies - - - Good News that Grammy was doing well enough to move on the rehab. I hope and pray that this will be the right place for her to regain her strength and be able to work at coming home again. Miss you Grammy!
It's another nice morning at 53, not to get as warm as yesterday, but warmer that what is in store for us for a few days ahead. I guess we just need to enjoy each day that brings sunshine in our lives!
You gals are going to have someone to talk with and explore new card making ideas. I'm sure you will both enjoy to continue making your beautiful cards.
I'm sure Teddy's party will be a fun time for him, and he will get use to everyone there after a few minutes. Happy present day!
Mamma, enjoy the fresh air for as long as you can today.
Laurie, how nice of you and the Yeti to take Al out to dinner tonight. Sorry about the quick mop up this morning.

Our latest "new" vehicle....
Good Saturday morning to all and a happy birthday party day to Teddy! We have a really pretty day right now, but it is to get to almost 90 this afternoon. Emmett has a 1:30 p.m. football game in Linn, MO, so it will be a hot one, especially for him with all the pads, helmet, etc. His team is undefeated thus far and this is the last game of the regular season, so fingers crossed it stays that way. Playoffs start next weekend. Three basketball games for Drew this week and two cross country meets. We didn't make it to Tuesday's cross country meet and won't to today's as it is in Columbia at 11:30 and with Emmett playing football this afternoon we won't be able to make both.
I have been reading each day, but haven't had an opportunity to post. I am earnestly praying for GrammyOH and am thankful to Laurie to reaching out to her DGD and to Grammy's DD for keeping us up to date on how she is doing. I hope the rehab facility can help her regain her strength and that she will be able to communicate with us while she is there. We love you, Grammy; your "tribe" is praying for you!
Carolyn, hope you get home safely and that your family and their community continue to recover from the hurricane damages.
I got my hearing aids yesterday, Mike and Jess say they can't see them, but with my short hair I worry about that. I did get the kind that go behind your ear with a thin wire to go inside the ear itself. And, mine are a dark cherry color which blends well with my hair color; I am sure I am just self conscious about having them. No big difference noted yet, but I do think maybe I am hearing things a bit clearer than I was. Time will tell.
This morning has been busy; I have a load of clothes on the line, have burned the paper trash, picked up the walnuts that fell overnight and been down the driveway to the mailbox. Mike is working outside on the front of the house landscaping. We need to leave by noon to get to the football game. I finally got the bedroom dusted yesterday before putting the newly-washed comforter and all the decorative pillow shams back on and now need to do the rest of the house. Just haven't had the time to get to it lately. My standards sure are getting relaxed. Need to get a few plants in the ground in the front of the house before it gets too late and the local Mennonite store has seconds of apples by the bushel so would like to get some of those to make some applesauce. And three committee meetings coming up at work. See why I haven't been dusting lately--LOL!
Time to tackle some of the dreaded dusting and get my "Grandparent of a Falcon" t-shirt on in order to get to the game. Sending love and prayers for all, especially our Grammy. |

Glad we got some news on Grammy Praying for her & that she gets to come home soon.

It's good to see this many grannies here this Saturday morning. It's raining here now and we need it!!! So no sunshine yet and the temp is to be in the low 70's. I wonder if it will get that warm if the rain/clouds continue. I think I'm going to make macaroni salad. I haven't had it in a while, and I need some side dish(ideas) to go with sandwiches. I made the broccoli soup yesterday and anxious to put that in my tummy. LOL My garage freezer is getting filled up again. It's laundry and cleaning today. I don't plan to leave the house but we'll see if that's how it will be or not.
CJ Congratulations and good luck with your new embossing machine. Now don't get too involved that you don't have time for the grannies. LOL Enjoy the b'day party for Teddy.
Mamma Your current (morning) weather sounds perfect. We've had some real nice days for our weather too. Winter will come too soon for me.
GREENBACK We're expecting cooler weather now too. I guess we'll take what we get and be thankful we have warm homes to stay in and safe. Enjoy your day and I hope you're feeling better too.
DEBBIE Wear the "Falcon" T-shirt proudly! My oldest DGS got me a Dallas Cowboy Best Grandma T-shirt for Christmas and I love it. Not so much the shirt as the thought that DGS got it for me. I know you understand that. Good luck with the new hearing aids and I hope they help you. That's one doosy of a truck!!
ICOOK I know, dusting! I actually did mine yesterday so that part of cleaning is done. Now the floors need some attention.

I am home. Took 6 hours with a few stops. Rerouted through the mtns through Cherokee NC. Very nice drive. Glad to be home. I am thinking about a nap. Try to be here tomorrow.  |

Break time. The floors are cleaned by Annie and scrubbed by me, the dusting is done and bedroom rugs washed and drying on the lines. I had the beef veggie soup for lunch and piece of the cake I got yesterday. Now my tummy is full and I'm ready for a nap. But I need to get the dishes done first.
Just sitting with my feet up the rest of the day. Last night I didn't sleep the best so I hope that a nap will happen as I sit and rest.
CJ, I've never heard of that embossing machine before. I hope you find that it works well for you. I so hope that Teddy has a good time at his party today.
Jane, you are right, we can't change or control the weather, just take it as it is and enjoy what we can.
Laurie, I hope you got your shower!
Elle, as much as I don't like walking Mandy in the rain, I do wish we could get some. I'll send up some warmth if you send down some rain.

CAROLYN I'll try to be quiet as you might be napping. LOL But welcome home, back to the neighborhood.
CINDY The rain has stopped and the sun is out now but it's still on the cool side, 64*.
The laundry is in the dryer, the kitchen floor is clean. Now I need to vacuum the family room floor. I made the macaroni salad, so I'll have that and a hamburger. I also have a piece of apple cake that was in the freezer so that will be my supper.
