Good Morning....
It's not as cold this morning. We are going to the mid 70's this afternoon with sunshine.
Last night the northern lights were visible at a decent time of the night. They were to be seen between 10-11:30. DH and I went to the nature park nearby (along with half my town..LOL) and found a good spot by the boat launch. This is the first time I've seen them and they didn't disappoint. We got there a little after 10 and was back home a little after 11. Here's a couple pics.....
Going to Walmart for a few things today and maybe Costco later. Tomorrow is Teddy's birthday party. I've got his gift wrapped.
Sending out continued prayers for Grammy.
Carolyn...glad to hear you will be going back home soon. Will you need to take a different route or are the roads through the mountains passable now?
Have a great day everyone...........Attachments:

Good Morning Ladies - - - warmer this morning - its 56 already and headed upward. Then it will get chilly again. I slept better last night, but still awake a lot - I was able to stay in bed all night though. I was up and had a cinnamon roll and a fresh pear for breakfast and now need to hit the shower. After trying many different times to call the guy about fixing my doors and not getting an answer yesterday, I tried another guy, that I didn't think would do it, but maybe would stir me in the right direction. He didn't answer either, so this morning, I thought I would try the original guy one more time and low and behold, he answered today. He is coming down at 1:00 this afternoon to look at it and see what he thinks. I thought he would be on the spot, that is why I was so surprised when he never answered or returned my message. It was a cell phone that I was calling too. CJ, what a thrill for you to see the NL - beautiful pictures. I have seen them and it's so nice. I didn't check last night, but think I would have needed to get out of town or at least to a more open area. My neighbor was so determined to see them when they went to Alaska earlier this summer, and didn't. Now she could have seen they here at home, except that they are gone on another trip now. IC, nice to get that dog hair all cleaned up. Prayers for Grammy and for Carolyn as you travel home again. Hope the roads will be okay for you!

Good morning. And a nasty humid morning it is. Mandy and I just got home and we both now have wet hair. Yes, it's that damp out there. YUCK. But we got a chance to visit with Mary and Emily for a short bit.
Last night my friends behind me told me that they have their place up for sale. They are moving to California to be closer to her new grand-baby and family. It set me into such a depressed state that I went to bed early. Only God knows what will move in to their place. I have to get out of here.
Today Lynda, Debbie and I are heading out for a short bit this morning. Then home to weigh my options of where to go to get out of here. I'll bounce some idea's off of them.
Even way down here, in Yuma, we could see the northern lights. My pictures didn't turn out very well. What my eyes saw was beautiful what the camera saw, not so much. But a friend sent me one he took by Mittry Lake. It's just a few miles out of the foothills. So not far from me.
He used a camera that was NOT on his phone.

It's warming up here today too. I "might" try to take a walk this afternoon. I have some meat to take care of and I want to make cream of broccoli soup this afternoon. I also have a load of laundry to do. My DD/spouse that usually comes on Friday's is in Columbus visiting her son, so I won't have company tonight. She will be 60 yrs. old Monday. How can that be? wow! doesn't time fly.
CJ The pictures are beautiful. Nature!! Is Teddy's party at your home? I'm sure he'll be excited.
ICOOK I might run the sweeper today too. If not, it will wait until tomorrow. I'm glad Christina is feeling well enough to help you.
GREENBACK Yay! I hope the repairman is right on time and get the doors fixed without any problems. It's not easy finding people who can/will do what needs to be done. I hope you continue to sleep better each night.
MAMMA Enjoy your time away this a.m. with your friends. Mandy will be very happy to see you when you get home.
Thinking of you Grammy!! and also Carolyn to get home safely and in good health.

Hello, I'm still at my brother's house, about 1/2 way through my house sitting time. Yesterday they went to Pearl Harbor, I'm not sure what they are up to today. The Yeti is taking FIL to a dr appt, they plan to take out his dialysis port as he no longer needs it. SIL is leaving tomorrow, as far as I know, to go back to FL, they lost a shed roof but that was all. We are not close as we have very very differing views on things, so I have not spoken to her for about a week, and only a few times during her stay. That's ok with me. Apparently she has had quite an eye-opening regarding how the ILs are faring. As Forrestt said, "that's all I've got to say about that."
Later today I will need to water plants, do litter boxes, etc and then will run to the farm for a bit. That's been such a great part of this stay, it's only about ten minutes to the farm to see Al. I've managed too to schedule a dentist and an eye dr visit, get my calendar and grade book organized and now will get my stuff for the HCs straightened out as I brought my bag of that stuff with too. For now, I best let some dogs out to the 'loo and put a load of Al's stuff in the dryer. Tomorrow I am at the History Center and Sunday is church with Al. Not too sure if the Yeti is missing me. BBL, Blessed be.

I just ate a breakfast/lunch of salad, half of a sweet potato, and a few grapes. Have to get busy and pack my clothes, going to go home tomorrow, good Lord willing. Have to go a different route, so it will take longer. My DD doesn't want me to go but I need to. No place like home The roads across the mountains (Smoky) are gone in lots of areas. So much devastation. There was a lot of damage in this area. Lots of homes with trees on them. Sure hope Grammy is doing good. Be back later.

DD#1 here just to let y'all know Grammy moved to the rehab facility today (Friday and the hospitals always want to clear out everyone they can before the weekend!) She is settled in at a facility with a good therapy department and will get PT and OT daily M-F with a plan to come home as soon as she is strong enough for it to be safe for her to do so. Keep the prayers coming! LAF
