Good Morning....
It's a bit cloudy today. We had a lot of wind yesterday that brought in cooler air. It will be much cooler this whole week.
Had a fun time with DD at her craft fair yesterday. I was her assistant...LOL And I helped set up and take down. She did quite well with her sales. And an extra bonus was DH made cabbage & smoked sausage soup for supper...so I didn't have to cook when I got home. We'll have that again tonight.
I'm heading to my mom's house in a bit. We are going shopping. She wants to get Teddy a present for his party on Saturday...so we'll do that and then have lunch somewhere.
Have a great day everyone....

Good Morning Ladies - - - Yikes! It's only 43 this morning but the sun is shining, so should warm up as we go! I'm just not ready for this yet! I needed to take a little break there - - My glasses were so dirty, I couldn't see to continue! I am getting ready for the coffee gals to come in the morning. One of them will be leaving on a trip with my neighbors, so will be just 4 of us. I plan to make a pumpkin dump cake, unless something changes during the day. I have a grocery order placed and will pick that up between 11:00-11;30. Otherwise, just get the table set and house in order. CJ, glad that DD had a good show - saw the picture on FB, and wondered how she has time to get all of those things done! I especially liked the pumpkins. Have fun shopping for Teddy! Did you find what you wanted the other day? IC, cool seems to be the word of the day! Hope everyone has a good day!

Good morning. A nice morning but cool is not the word of the day here. We are still stuck in record breaking excessive heat. Last year at this time I had doors and windows open most of the day, no 100ºs. There is no relief in sight for the next two weeks.
Getting my nails done this morning before it gets too hot. I had her write down the time and date so I have a card with proof. hehe Nothing else on my to do list for today.
Jane, enjoy coffee time with the ladies. CJ, I hope your mom finds the gift she wants for Teddy. Enjoy your lunch.
IC, I still haven't done the dusting of last week. So I guess I should add that to my to do list for today.

Good afternoon, it's another nice sunny but cooler day. I didn't sleep well last night, couldn't get to sleep and then wake up, go back to sleep, etc. So I slept in until 8:30 this a.m. I'm going to make a fleece tied blanket today. (not sure that's the official, but it's my description. LOL) I plan to start it but not sure if I'll finish it today. I have beans cooking, bean soup sounds so good! Of course ham will be added too. That most likely will be my supper.
CJ I remember when you and your DH come to one of my craft shows when I was selling purses. In fact, I think you might have come to 2 of them? Teddy will be fun to watch when he opens all of his fun gifts.
ICOOK You said that dreaded word again!! You know what that is, don't you. LOL I don't plan to do that for a few days again. Stay warm!
GREENBACK I'm so glad you're feeling better. Enjoy coffee with your friends tomorrow. Tomorrow is game day for me but it's not at my house.
CAROLYN What part of FL. does your daughter live? I have family in Clearwater and friends in Ft. Myers. They didn't have any damage from Helene and I'm hoping none from this one.
MAMMA I always have my beautician give me a card for my appointments too. What color of polish will you be getting? Be safe when you're out and about.

Hello all! It's a gorgeous morning here at my brother's house. It's a sunny and breezy day & 62*. The fall festival was nice, good food and I brought home one of the theme baskets. I went to the kitchen and wound up helping for a while helped them to get things cleaned up quickly. I was up and about too early today and got here about an hour before they left. I'll head out to the farm later. Al had a short grocery list so I wound up going to WM bright and early. That's all I've got, blessed be.

Good afternoon, friends! It is a gorgeous day here in central MO, quite cool this morning which made it perfect for my walk, but it has warmed up to the high 60s now. After my walk, I picked up the walnuts that fell yesterday and overnight, got a load of dark clothes on the line to dry and watered my remaining flowers, including the mums we planted on Saturday before we left.
Our trip to IL after our "new" car went well. We left after Emmett's football game (they remain undefeated; won Saturday's game 26-0), stopped by my sister's house in New Bloomfield so I could drop off her birthday present, belatedly, and made it to Morris, IL, around 10:00 p.m.
Yesterday, after a nice visit with Mike's aunt, we loaded up the '29 Ford/Chevy truck and headed home, getting in about 8:00 last night. Mike was smiling all the way home. We couldn't get it to start yesterday, but he has put fresh gas in it and done a few other things and you may have heard his whoop of joy when it turned over and he revved the engine--LOL. To say he is proud of it is an understatement.
I have a batch of granola finishing up in the oven right now. We ate the last of it with yogurt this morning and we love having a batch made up for when we want it. Now that fresh fruit is pretty much over for the season, we prefer yogurt and granola over fruit and cereal. We had bacon and tomato sandwiches for lunch. Bacon courtesy of Trinity--the one she cured for the fair--and we are still getting tomatoes from the garden; not as many or as nice as the ones earlier, but still good enough to enjoy fresh. We are rearranging the unfinished space in the basement in order to park the "new" truck there until we get the new garage/shop built. That should start in a couple of weeks. I need to get at least one of the bathrooms cleaned or at least one room dusted (thinking of you, Elle and IC Cook) before we leave for Drew's game tonight. But, I still need to weed my flower beds, so we will see how it goes. Clothes need to come off the line, too.
Jane, it is so good to hear that you are feeling better and to hear that Carolyn has power again. Wishing we would get another update from Grammy or her DD. Jane, I hope you got lots of hugs and smooches from your little man when he visited you! Laurie, enjoy your "free" time!
Waving to all and hoping you have a great day. Need to get some of the dreaded cleaning done and then get ready to go to Drew's game and work tomorrow. I have lunches made for tomorrow so that will help.

I'm concerned about Grammy. She hasn't posted and neither has her daughter. I hope it's just an internet problem. Prayers for her.
