Got up a little earlier today but I went to bed a little earlier last night Just gave Tinker her medicine She's on an antibiotic one week out of the month to help her with her teeth Chihuahuas have a tendency to have bad teeth & the vet wants to help her to keep her teeth as long as we can She has bad teeth like her mom.
I'll be doing more dusting today. Making a pork chop for my supper tonight.

Hello from Guestville. Had to re-sign in, maybe I should resign for the day? Stuff is ready to take to the fall festival after church, I just need to get dressed. Tomorrow I'll head to my brother's in the morning and be there while he and his wife are in Hawaii, my sister and BIL are going. The Yeti did not want to go, I didn't want to go alone, so I offered to house sit and critter sit. My plans to sleep in are for about 10 consecutive days, 'twill be glorious!
Need to find something besides the sweats I am wearing, I'd be fine with it though. Blessed be.

Good morning.
Out and back in record time. I love it when Mandy doesn't just stand and stare into space the whole time. It's already 80º, and heading to 112º. I'm not leaving the house again today except to take Mandy out to do her thing in the early afternoon.
It's a good day to work on some new things with my cards. And maybe get some dusting done. Yesterday after my errands my left foot got so bad I had a painful time getting back to the car. I'll need to keep my cane a lot more handy. Nothing got done at home after that. The arthritis is my left foot is getting worse all the time. And then all night shooting pain in my thumbs and back started. What brought all the arthritis pain yesterday is a puzzle. Never had it all bother me at one time. But so far this morning no pain, so I'm very thankful.
My friend Lynda had some kind of bladder surgery on Wednesday. She is so lucky to have such nice neighbors. They stop and check on her and some have brought her food. Nothing like that in this park. I text her periodically to check on her. I don't want to wake her cuz she needs her rest too. And she texts me often to let me know she is ok.
Yesterday was World Card making day. I only made one card and it started out as just a test one. But I really liked how it turned out. I like cards that are not so over the top. I'm plain and simple and so are my cards.
Keurig coffee this morning just because I love Keurig coffee and I wanted a change. Now I'm done and need to get the bed made and the mess in the kitchen cleaned up. I made Mandy some dog food in the crock pot and all those dishes are in the sink. Ugh, messes.

They buried my sister-in-law yesterday But I wasn't able to go. I still have problems. With my back and knee and it's hard to stand or walk a lot. We did go to the The $ Store . First time I have been out that much in 2 months. We got our power on about 9:30 last night. Only bad thing they use ac and it is cold. I put on a long sleeved shirt.  Don't know when I'll go home. The main road that we travel, Interstate 40 in 26 are closed 40 is destroyed at the Tennessee and North Carolina line. Just think we traveled that very same road Two weeks ago. God is good and let us have. a safe safe trip here. Please say a prayer for the people in Florida. Now I have to worry about them again as My daughter is in Sarasota Take care.🚗 |

It's another beautiful sunny day. It's 76* with some wind. We're being told not to do any burning because of the dry and windy weather we're having. Not much to report from here. I'm hearing about the possibility of another hurricane (Milton) heading to FL. I can't imagine what the people going through the aftermath of Helene are experiencing. How horrific!

MAMMA I hope you aren't having pain today. Geesh! what's going on, it seems everyone is facing health issues. I guess it's this thing called "age." My mom always said, "don't get old." She lived to be 91/12.
CAROLYN Be patient, I'm sure you're anxious to get back home but I think you're being well taken care of. And your family is so happy to have you with them.

Good Afternoon Ladies - - - Another nice day here too, although it's cool and windy, but the sun is shining, and I will take that any day. I was up at 7:15 after a mostly sleepless night again, and then had breakfast and was ready for the church service when it came on at 8:30. After that was over, I mostly cat napped in my chair for the rest of the morning.

Laurie, hope the fall festival goes well and that you will be able to get caught up on your rest while you are house and pet sitting.
Mamma, glad your friend is doing well after her surgery and has lots of people looking out after her. That is usually a 2 way street, and I'm sure she is very helpful to those around her as well, and they, in turn, like to help her when needed. Nice day to work on cards and stay in where it's cool.
Carolyn, so sorry you had to miss the funeral, but sometimes those things can not be helped, and you need to do what is safe and comfortable for you. I'm sure the family understands that. Good to hear that you got your power restored. I'm sure it will be a long time before things are back to normal, if they ever are in places.
Ellie, It has been very dry here also and they have announced to avoid burning and to be careful in the fields harvesting - many of the counties have burn bans issued.

Elle, a lot less pain today, thank you.
Jane, I only have one neighbor in the summer. So it's not like I have anyone to befriend. The clown lady across the street can stay away from me, she is not right in the head. But I would help her if she needed help. Lynda has a lot of people in her park that stay year round. They are all so nice too. That is the park I had hoped to move to. Not looking good right now.
Two more cards have been made and I tried a few new ideas. Now it's time for a little lunch and then sit in the recliner until time to take Mandy out. There is more traffic on our street and it is driving Mandy nuts. It will take a couple weeks for her to get use to no more quiet days. When she is outside, she won't bark, but inside, OMG.
