Good Morning....
It's sunny but much cooler today than yesterday.
I plan to go shopping in a bit. Need to get Teddy's birthday present. It's hard to buy for someone that has everything...LOL I have an idea though...so hope I can find it.
Yesterday I made Teddy's birthday card. It turned out better than I thought it would. His theme this year is Dino-trucks.
Carolyn...I'm praying for you and your family. I hope you get your power back soon. Glad your DD has a generator. My cousin lives in Cookeville, TN. I haven't heard if they were hit by anything. I'm sure where in TN that is.
Grammy....continuing prayers for you. Hope you come to visit with us soon.
Greenback...did your family get to your house? Bet you were so excited to see Dawson and he to see you. Enjoy their visit.
Time to finish getting ready to shop. Have a great day...........

Good morning. Out and back and the golf cart is on the charger. I decided that I was worth the extra money so I'm having my nails done again. Neither Tammi or Cyndi are there right now so I don't know who I'll have. But whomever she will be informed how i want them done. I'll be making my next appointment while there too. The snowbirds fill these places during the winter. And I do the same with the groomer. Mandy has all her appointments set right through May. I've even stocked up on toilet paper, kleenex and coffee. One they all are here the stores can't keep up with the demand. And when the Canadians leave they fill their RVs with paper goods because it is cheaper here than there. CJ, best of luck finding just the right gift for Teddy. Nice job on the card too.
Carolyn that storm really put a damper on your visit with family. You are indeed lucky to have a generator.
Jane, have a fun time with the kids. I'm sure your little buddy was so happy to see grandma. How was the pizza?
Grammy, prayers for you. I hope you are up to coming back here soon.
Happy Saturday to all.

Happy Saturday! it's sunny, cool but warming up to a comfy day. This is my kind of weather. Cool in the evenings and warm, sunny in the day. I have a guy here now power washing my house. And he might be doing a few other odd jobs that need to be done. He is very conscientious and does a good job. I'm going to a funeral this a.m. Then home to do laundry and get the house cleaned, again! Didn't I just do that? it definitely come fast!!
CJ The card for Teddy is so cute. It's unreal that he's 3 already. Enjoy the nice weather and shopping.
CAROLYN I have family in NC but thank God they were not hit. I watch the news and I cannot imagine all the devastation and how the people are without anything. I am so thankful you are safe.
MAMMA Do you have a special color you like for your nails, or do you change to different colors when you get your nails done?
GREENBACK I hope you're enjoying with your family, especially the one so dear to your heart. Are you continuing to feel stronger?
GRAMMY Praying you are feeling stronger. One day at a time. Prayers for you!!

Elle, I need to get my place powered washed one of these days too. It needs it badly. Usually I have a soft pink or a french tip done. I used to have bright colors but found those colors make my hands look older than I am. hehe Mark always loved it when I had my nails done. It's a treat for me now. The days go by so quickly now. I agree it seems like I just cleaned and did all the laundry and then, bamm, here I go again.

Good Morning Ladies - - - Another pretty morning just waiting to warm up a little more! Not much planned for my day, just finish up some things I didn't get done yesterday. It was fun to see the kids again last night - - the pizza was just so so - - Not much zing to the sauce. Doubt that I will order from there again. I told Dawson to eat all the pizza he wanted but to save room for the apple cider donuts that I got for his BD treat! He wanted to know what was on them, since he had never had them and I said they are rolled in sugar, to which he answered, "I like sugar!" He quickly ate one, and then almost all of the second one. He brought me a couple of papers he did in school yesterday, and Kota did well at grandma's house - - No accidents, and she seemed to like Grandma too. All to soon, it was time for them to go home, and of course, we were all tired too, but a fun night. CJ, I know what you mean about finding the right gift for Teddy - - The all have so much these days, you wonder what will thrill them, and usually it is just some little thing that you never would have guessed! Carolyn, yes, even as you continue to struggle, it's such a blessing to be safe and have the water and generator to get along with. Hope you all continue to improve on the situation at hand. Mamma, getting nails done wouldn't be a treat to me, but we all have our own little treats and things that pamper us. Glad that you have found one of yours. Is it any cooler today? Ellie, I had my house power washed last year, and it sure does perk them up. Sorry that you have another funeral to go to. At our age, they seem to come around pretty often. We have had a lot of young ones this summer - - right now, a 41 year old gal that had brain cancer. Hope everyone has a good day - enjoy

Good Saturday morning to all. Sorry I haven't been here in a while, but I am definitely burning the candle at both ends. I only work 2-1/2 days a week, but it seems there is something, sometimes two things, each evening and on the weekends, too. This past weekend the girls and I went to Pawhuska, OK, to the Pioneer Woman, left Saturday after Emmett's football game. Had a wonderful time, got back about 8 Monday night, worked all day Tuesday, ball game in St. Elizabeth (an hour away) on Tuesday night, got home late, worked on Wednesday, that was our only day at home, worked half day Thursday, came home and did a few things and started picking up walnuts, then car club dinner and monthly meeting. Friday, I was supposed to go to Columbia to get my hearing aids, but the office called and the doctor was sick so I spent all day picking up walnuts along with doing three loads of laundry and getting them on and off the lines, cleaning out my flower beds and discarding some hanging plants, then off to Westphalia for a ball game for Drew. This morning, I have been out to pick up the walnuts that fell overnight, Mike and I have planted five mums, I have watered my flowers and we are getting ready to leave for Emmett's football game at noon. Right after that, we are traveling to Morris, IL, just outside Chicago to his aunt and late uncle's house and we are picking up the '29 Model A pickup that he is buying from her. We hope to stay overnight in her town, get the truck into our trailer Sunday morning and be back here tomorrow night, but, since neither of us work on Monday, if we have to, we can wait and come back Monday morning. We know she needs some help sorting things in her beloved late husband's garage so may stay to help with that. See why I haven't been here and why I am tired. But, I know that this, too, shall pass and I would be sad to miss the activities for the grands, win or lose. We try to be there for everything although we did miss a cross country meet for Drew on Wednesday this week because we were both working I love when the boys look for us in the stands and watch for signs from Paw Paw on how to do a play better and grin when Maw Maw jumps up in the stands and cheers for them when they score. Same for the girls and their activities. Both Amelia and Trinity are in basketball practice season and will start playing games. And, Eli's high school season will begin just after Drew's ends. Emmett's football team is undefeated and will have today and next week as regular games and then we will see how far they go in playoffs.
Anyway, I read every day, but just don't have time to chime in; but hopefully that will change soon. So glad that Carolyn is doing OK with all the hurricane troubles (and FEMA is broke and can't help??), that Jane is feeling better, and Grammy checked in--hope she does again, soon! Love to all and I will be back when I can!
