Good morning, I've been up for a while, made coffee, had cereal, the usuals. Today I have to observe a basket making class for the Arts council, I'll leave in a couple of hours or so. I'd take the class, but my hands are itchy and I've been using the anti itch cream and don't want to get it on the materials, so I will be an observer instead. I have to fill out some forms so I'll print those off and get to them in my bag too. Yesterday's meeting went well, got some good ideas for our history center. I've got a load in the washer hang out before I go and when I get back I have some plants that have to get into the ground as tomorrow I have to go to ladies' aid and help serve the meal before church. Thursday is a training at school. There's my week in a nutshell. I do tend to get more done when I am busy, so I should be fabulous right now. I think it is sprinkling out there, huh? It may just be a dryer day then. Sounds like dialysis went well, he'll do it again today too, hopefully this is turning the corner. The Yeti's uncle is being transferred to an intensive rehab today I think.
Last night, while attired in my latest fashion statement consisting of a long sleeved hoodie, jeans, knee high rubber boots and purple vinyl gloves, I got the last of the chokecherries picked. Two more quarts bringing the total to 14 quarts, more or less. While I was all sweaty and gross, I picked my small tomatoes and some peppers too. I looked like I took a shower before I took a shower. I want to get as much of this done now as I can as the micro person will be here this weekend and I hope to get to spend some time with him.
Help yourselves to coffee, have a great day, blessed be.

Good Morning....
It's sunny and very cool out there. It's in the 50's right now and might just barely make it to 70 later this afternoon. A "fall feel" day for sure.
Not sure what today will bring. I'll just wait and see...LOL Might be productive and might not.
DMIL's Dr visit went well. Some of the stitches were removed. He wants her to start walking , using her walker. So that will be taken to her today. Hopefully we are turning the corner and she will soon be mobile on her own.
DDIL is on her way to Argentina. Her step mom passed away suddenly last week. DS said he might be going next week. I'll have to talk to him and find out what the plans are.
Lauriet...I've never had chokecherries, nor have I ever seen one. So have no idea what they are.
Have a great day everyone..........

Good Morning Ladies - - - It's cool here this morning too but think it's to warm up nicely - - Not much on my schedule for the day --- My days are nothing like Laurie's - - I admire you and all you get done in a day, but then I remember when my days were that way also - and now, look how they have turned into. Today, being Tuesday, is normally coffee day, but I got a call last night, that it was just going to be 2 of us, so did we want to just skip it this week - - that was fine - will look forward to next week now, and it will be at the gals that is such a good cook! I woke up around 6:15 and my back was tired from laying, so I went to my chair until 8:15 or so. Right now, I would like someone to just beat on my body - I think it would feel good. Laurie, I hope your hands clear up before the weekend so you can get them on that little MP! I now how hard it will be if you can't. Hope everything goes well for you this week - you have lots to contend with! CJ, we had chokecherry trees when I was growing up. They would just grow wild, as I'm sure the birds planted them - I can't remember that we ever used them much though. Very tart, as I remember. I hope your DIL and also DS, if he goes, have safe trips. I'm sure its very hard to be so far away at this trying times. Good to hear that MIL's appt. went well, and hope she does get around now. IC, the BD test shouldn't take long, so you should be shopping for your produce soon! Have a good day ladies!

Upon opening the door to go out this morning I was hit in the face with moisture beyond measure. The dew point is so high I got wet and it wasn't from sweating. I was so happy that Mandy was quick this morning. Even though we were out only a short time my clothes and I got very damp. There is wind but it isn't much of a help. UGH. This fall/winter I will need reminders all over the house not to complain about the snowbirds,LOL, at least it will be cooler.Okay I'm almost done complaining.
Last night the night sweats were gone until around 4 but it was very short lived. PTL So I slept much better and should be good without a nap today. Lunch with Lynda at her home and I know we will be doing some card techniques. I can learn a lot from her or at least remind me of what I once knew. I know we will have a great time as always. Nothing else planned for the day.
CJ, I pray that all goes well with the return of the walker today.
IC,I would love to be able to sleep in in the morning. But I can't make Mandy wait any longer to go "out".
Laurie, my grandmother had choke cherries in her garden. Not my cup of tea, but it has been many many years. My tastes have changed....they have gotten much more picky. LOL

Jane, it's always nice to have something to look forward to. Mark was great at back rubs, oh how I miss that. Wish I could help you out in that department.

Hello grannies. sure is chilly today. Temp finally made it to 70 and that's not warm enough for me. What will I do when winter is here. I just got home from game time and that's always a good time. I enjoy being with people. I think next week Bible study will be here we will discuss that more tomorrow. It's becoming more and more problem for me to get out and do things. We will have to see what happens with game time. I sure hate to give up either one of those things.
Laurie I don't know where all your energy comes from? Tell me so I can get some to use. I suppose 91 years is finally catching up with me! I have never eaten or seen a choke cherry so glad you have a good source for them since your family seems t like them
CJ so glad to hear that MIL is doing well. Safe travels for your dil
Mamma that sounds like a lot moisture to have to deal with along with the high temp! It's cold here! Sweat pants and sweat shirt for another day. So nice that you have a new friend!
the tomato pis is for tonight not last night. It's so good I'm sitting here drooling just thinking about it

These are chokecherries. They grow on bushes/trees-think lilac bushes/trees, can grow quite tall. The berries grow in clusters, you ideally want them to be dark purple, almost black, when you pick them. They are tart and have a small seed. I don't know anyone who just eats them raw, they make a beautiful jelly and syrup. Remember going to Perkins or another similar place where they gave you flavored pancake syrups? Like that. I grabbed another couple of handfuls when I drove in, all that is left is for the birds, bugs and beasts. The class was good today, wish I'd been able to participate but my hands are still a mess. There is a load of jeans waiting to come out of the dryer, they didn't completely dry out there today, then I'll get things together for tomorrow's church dinner. Or, I will sit on my butt and do it in the morning. I think Plan B sounds wonderful! The Yeti said dialysis for FIL went well again today, he'll be going again early in the morning to talk to the drs. I'll pick MIL up tomorrow afternoon and we'll go to the church and the Yeti will meet us there.
