Good Morning....
Another pleasant day ahead. I could enjoy this weather all summer but we all know it can't be like that. The humidity will start going up again next week.
I enjoyed my coffee on the swing. While sitting there I always see things that need doing in the yard. Yesterday I cleaned out all the weeds and over growth from my flowers along the back fence. Looks so much better...but I know those weeds will be back sooner than later...LOL
Later this afternoon I'm going to a Tiki party at one of my school ladies that I worked with. It's an annual party for several years now. DH has no interest in going, so I'll meet my good friend/teacher that I worked with in the preschool, there. Her DH makes the best smoked pork. I'm taking Greenback's cucumber pasta salad.
Mamma....thanks for the info on your card making things. I just might order it...but I'll have to look a little more at other sizes as most my cards are 4 3/4 x 6 3/4. So that might not work if I wanted to put the whole card through the embosser.
I'm going to my mom's this morning for a little visit and lunch. We just seem to have a hard time anymore finding a day that is free for both of us. Well, she leads a more exciting life than me...LOL
Have a great day everyone....

Good morning. Out and back home. Mandy was quick and with the heat and humidity already this morning, I was super happy. The washer is taking care of business this morning and I'm on my second cup of coffee.
The last two days I've been battling lightheadedness. I surely do wish I knew what causes that. The only thing I can think of is that I was a bit lax in the amount of water I consumed the last couple days. My body is not tolerant of low water consumption and I know that and also looking down too long is also an issue. My blood pressure is good too, I check that several times a day. Oh well it passes after a few days.
CJ, why such a different size card? How and what size paper to you use when you cut for your card? When cutting card stock, of 8.5 x 11, in half, I get two cards that measure 4 1/4 by 5 1/2 and no wasted paper after the cut. That is just an average size cut. I'm just curious, no size card is wrong. There are a lot of different sizes and shapes. Of course the scraps can be used for other parts of a card. I keep all my scraps that would or could be useable. :)Check out Temu.com for better prices on embossing folders and die cuts and even embossing machines. I've saved a lot of money on things there. I just got an order yesterday with 8 die cuts for $15 and they all work well. Beware, card making is addictive. LOL
Today I hope to get some cleaning done aka the floors again and kitchen counter. I'll take a Dramamine and some Naproxen and hope to play with my new die cuts and make a couple cards.

Won't get to see baby Elijah today as he is on vacation with his daddy and mommy. His visits are my highlights of the day. Hope all of you have a wonderful day. It is looking like rain and that is fine with me. Take care

Mamma hope the dizzy stuff goes away and you feel better.
Lat night was a nice time. dd brought dinner from the fire pit to me and it tasted so good. Hot dogs roasted in the fire and some other good stuff. Then Dgs pleaded with me to come to the fire pit for the music time. Chef brought the car to my door with some help I managed to get to the car then she drove me to the fore pit where there was more help. me to my chair . Many of the songs were from the church that most pf them attend.
One of the physical and mentally challenged boys from the large family of adopted children put his head back closed his eyes and[/span] sang every word! enough to make my eyes leak! Of course there was marshmallows to make s mores! A nice evening.

Hello, sitting at the history center. I'll head to the farm after for over night and then church tomorrow. We had an offer, that we accepted, on the other place. We'll know more tomorrow about closing date, etc but know they'd like to close ASAP. It'll be good to have that all over and done with.
I made a quick Aldi stop for Al before coming here and on the way back I may need to stop for the Yeti for Rustoleum as he wants the new clothesline poles to be the same color as the trim on the house. On the way back to our place I will stop at Ann's and pick raspberries again. I only want to make one batch of raspberry jam, so that's the plan for those and we do plan to go to get some more blueberries, there's such a short season that we have to "make hay while the sun shines." Pickle season will be coming up soon too, so I'll need to stop at the Amish greenhouse and see approximate dates and order more cukes for a friend of #1 who wants to learn how to do pickles. #1 is heading back to his place today, we were out on the lake last night and they caught some fish, I lost a couple and then broke a line, so I fave up. He's planning a fish fry at his IL's when they are all there, he's getting close on what he'll need.
There's always something to do, whether you want to or not. That's all I've got for now, trying to find a key for a cabinet and striking out. Blessed be.

Good Afternoon Ladies - - - Another beautiful day in the neighborhood! So nice to see everyone here so bright and buschy tailed. I didn't get up so early today and then got side tracked a few times. First off was a picture of my family sitting in the air plane ready to take off on Dawson's first plane ride. He was sitting in the window seat, not sure if it was so he could look out or if they were trying to keep him corralled. Either way, I think it was a win-win. CJ, I'm sure you will have a fun time tonight - hope they like the salad. Mamma, my friend that moved to the AL is also bothered by lightheadedness. She thinks it is a long term reaction to when she had covid. Carolyn, I know you will be missing your visits from your special little guy. Grammy, how nice that they made the effort for you to join in on the party. Sounds like a fun evening for all of you. Laurie, congratulations on the sale of the other house - - that sure didn't take long! An early closing is a great thing - nice not to have to worry about it over another winter. IC, you have a busy afternoon planned - take care. I hope everyone has a good Sat. I have the washer going and a melon sitting on the counter to cut up - a small grocery order to pick up - I wanted some things from both stores this week, so did just enough to get my free pick up. There are always a few things I can add that will go on the shelf to fill that order.

Good afternoon on another beautiful central MO afternoon. Very rare to have such nice weather in the middle of July; but we will take it! It was a great morning to be busy outside and that's exactly what we were. No walk for me this morning, but a load of clothes got put on the clothesline and are already dry, off the line and put away, flowers got watered, and then I went to the garden to help Mike. We decided last night that our corn was ready to be picked and, since we were going to be gone soon, it happened this morning. He picked and I picked up the ears and took them to the bed of the side-by-side and then he cut down stalks and I piled them in batches to dry out for fall decorations. Then, it was time to shuck all the corn, get it cut off the cob and bring it in to the house. We set up a folding table under the big shade tree in the front yard and that's where we worked to keep all the mess out of the house. I have 32 cups of corn now in the pot on the stove and have at least that much more for a second batch ready to go. Once cool, I will package it in quart bags for the freezer. I'm using "Ida's Frozen Corn" recipe which is a favorite of DD#2's DMIL and when she has shared with us it is so good. We are glad to have the messy job done and I know it will taste good this winter. We also saved a few nice ears for corn on the cob the next couple of nights.
After a late lunch just now, DH has gone back outside to hose out the bed on the side-by-side (thankfully, it is a dump bed so it should be fairly easy clean-up), he's going to mow over the area in the garden where we picked the corn and where we dug up the potatoes earlier, and then mow the road ditches and barn area. If time permits, he is going to bale up some hay that was cut a couple of weeks ago when all the other was done, but the tractor had an issue and couldn't finish. DH just wants to get the old hay off the field and will use what little it bales up to be as fill somewhere or winter weight for the truck.
We are both trying to start packing. I bought some compression packing cubes that came highly recommended, but I must be overpacking them (imagine that??!!) because I can't get the second zipper which makes them compress to close. I'll keep experimenting with amounts. I did get all my outfits figured out and organized (tops with coordinating pants, etc.) and have my medicine containers filled, etc. Need to get myself packed up and then help Mike pack. I don't think he is taking as much as I am -- LOL! -- which is good so I will use part of his suitcase, too. We did get a good tip to pack "half and half", half of each of our clothes in each bag. That way if one of our checked bags gets lost or delayed, no one is without any clean clothes. Need to figure out snacks, too. With the length of our flight, they will be serving two meals, but we have been told not to expect much. I just hope our flight gets away on time after the big computer glitch yesterday!
Jane, where are your kiddos going on vacation? My DD#1 and crew are on their way to Florida, but they are road-tripping. She sent me a picture when they got on the road last night and 16-year-old Eli was in the third row seating area and had hung a blanket up to make a divider between him and the rest of the family--LOL. The other two were already talking about being hungry and needing to stop to pee, so they were already having giggles and making memories. And, apparently, when they did stop the restroom was so bad that even the boys refused to use it and they ended up walking across the road to a Wal-Mart to use the one there--and there was a mentally-challenged woman there trying to go outside the toilet stalls and saying that what she saw when she squatted down was scaring her--what she was seeing were her feet! They will definitely be having memories from this trip for a while and they were only an hour or so from home!
DH just came in and gave me a good idea for getting more corn done at once, so I had better go tend to that. Wishing all a good weekend!

Hi again, boy has it been busy here today! Lots of folks in to talk to, including a cousin I haven't seen for a long time. When I am done I am going to run over to my sister's for a bit, they have something at 5, so it'll be a short bit and then to the farm. The Yeti called earlier to tell me about the confirmation on the house, so we will need to make an appointment for Monday to talk to the lawyer. I'm guessing #1 is on the road if not already home.

Checking in late. It's been a good busy week. Thursday was company all day and last night was game night too. Today I've got laundry done, sprayed weeds, put fresh water in the bird bath, cleaned the inside of the car...the outside needs a good "bath" too, got the kitchen cleaned but now the family room needs to be vacuumed, then I should be finished for now. LOL I caught up on some of my emails, went to the local store to take advantage of their specials. One of their specials was the sweet (bing) cherries so I cleaned them and put them in the frig. They're my favorite cherry. So, I'm ready to sit back and relax. Have a good rest of the day!

Good afternoon. The lightheadedness has subsided....for now. I hope it's a long time to never of getting that again. But I know it will return sooner or later. My friend Dawn and I had a nice facetime chat this afternoon. Back in MN we did a lot together and I really miss her. She is the only friend that has stayed in touch since we left Mn. Now that is a good friend.
This morning I got one card made and then cleaned up the craft table. Nothing else has gotten done other than the one load of laundry and the little bit of ironing. But I still have a couple hours before supper time. I don't do anything after supper other than take Mandy out. Ha ha ha, I don't do much of anything any time anymore.
TV dinner for supper or cold cereal. Not sure which gourmet delight to make. Both are in the running.
