Good Morning Ladies - - - Just 66 and sunny - so a nice start to the day! Actually, mine started with a jolt - - the phone ringing and it was the clinic wanting to reschedule my appointment as my provider will be out of the office for a funeral today. It's just my yearly medicare visit, so no big deal, but I was in deep sleep at the time, and took me a minute to focus. I spent a good portion of the night in the chair, but was back in bed at this time. That pretty much leaves my day free, so will see what will/can happen! Laurie, as usual, something happening at your house!!! How was your lunch with Al? Have a good day ladies.

This morning it was 81ΒΊ when we went out. There was a nice little breeze at our little pet area in the shade too. We no longer go to the larger pet area, it's always in the sun. And in the morning the little one is full shade in the morning. When we got home Mandy got her treat and I grabbed the distilled water and went to the golf cart. I've filled all the batteries so I should be good the rest of the summer. They weren't really low but I topped them off to be safe. Who knows when I'll have a nice morning again to do this. And I feel better knowing I've checked everything too.
If I can get up the gumption, I may make some greeting cards. I really don't need any but it is something I enjoy once I get going on them. There are a couple diamond paint projects that need to be finished too. For some reason I've really gotten lax in so many things. Losing Mark really knocked the momentum out of me on so many things.
Just enough crab salad left to share with Karen. She loves it so I'ld rather give it to her than keep it for me. The pot luck had a good turn out and a lot of food. I told Lynda that I am done at the end of August and if she still wants to do the September pot luck it will be without me. I just can't do it anymore. We will be done helping with coffee on the last Sunday in August. Lynda told Marylee September first would be the last day but that is a pot luck and I am not doing anything after August. In fact I won't be going in to church September first either. Once the snowbirds are thick it will be hit and miss for me as well as Lynda.
The new pastor started yesterday and I think he and his family will be a great fit for our church. Next Sunday, with no pot luck, I'll be able to catch his whole message and the service.
Enjoy a quiet day at home Jane.

I've been up for awhile and got a few things done had some cereal and called it breakfast now what do I do with the rest of the day. I do have a book to finish.I was another one that moved from bed to chair last night. I have try the bed again now and then but always end up in the chair

Good Morning...
It's going to be a hot and humid one here today, just like at Grammy's. There is a nice breeze right now, so I did enjoy my coffee on the swing. I also watered flowers before it gets too hot. The a/c will be going on in a bit.
Yesterday was a crazy day with DMIL. DH got a call from the nursing home, yesterday morning at 6am, that they were sending her to the ER. She had become very combative and aggressive to the staff. They are not allowed to do any restraining, so this is their alternative. She has never ever been that way. I guess she was having hallucinations or a bad dream that she thought was real and the staff was attacking her. She was fighting back with all her might. After the ER deemed she was good to go, they sent her back. She spent the day trying to get out of bed and just rambling. She did know who we were. DBIL & wife left around noon and didn't come back. DH & I spent 14 hours with her. We waited till she finally fell asleep to leave. DH was totally exhausted and at the end of his rope. This morning he and his brother are there and met with a doctor and soon the social worker should be in to talk to them about some things. Hoping all goes well today. I know DH does not want another day like yesterday.
I have some laundry going and I have other things to get done.
Have a great day everyone......

OH CJ, I'm so sorry for all that the family is going through. All I can do is my best and that is to pray, and I have been and will continue. Hopefully something can be done to get and keep your DMIL in the right frame of mind. The poor lady. I feel so badly for all of you. How nice that you got to enjoy your swing for awhile this morning. How is it holding up?

A sunny and going to be a hot day here too. Summertime, summertime. I need milk so I'll be going to the grocery store. I shouldn't need much. I received a text that my DH's brother and wife will be coming up this Saturday. Her sister passed away and is from a small town about 1/2 hr. from me. I am looking forward to seeing them again. I haven't seen them since DH passed but do text/phone call with them. With not much to do, I have a feeling it might be a long boring day but I'm trying to think of maybe making phone calls to shut in's or friends.
LAURIE Thank you for the coffee today.
GREENBACK That was a "rude" awakening. I like the soft easy on my time wake ups. LOL I hope you sleep better tonight.
MAMMA I saw a diamond point picture at a friends home a couple of weeks ago and they are beautiful. What detailed work and patience it must take to make one.
GRAMMY I have days that I also wonder what I will do. Those are long and lonely days too. Maybe you'll have a little visitor sometime today.
CJ Enjoy the swing, it sounds like rain is coming. Maybe it will miss you. May I kindly suggest that your DH and DBIL question the Dr. about the meds your DMIL might be getting. I know they can cause confusion if not given the right dosage. I am not a Dr. so this is only a suggestion. I hope they can find some fast help for your DMIL to adjust to this time in her life. Hang in there CJ!!

DH had a much better visit and experience today with his mom. She slept the whole night, which was good. Still rambling, but in much better condition than yesterday. We'll take it one day at a time.

Hello everyone. It's a beautiful day out, nice breeze and 76*, I'll happily take that. We've had quite a bit of rain off and on again, so the plants are doing well. I had some stuff that didn't get planted, that will happen on Wednesday. Hugs to all who need them, and Mary, please send Christina hugs from all of us.
#2 and GF will be leaving in the a.m., sounds like shortly after breakfast, so I will still go to my meeting and then to see Al. Tomorrow is the ten year anniversary of losing Mom, and also his brother passed away on the same date four years ago. Last night there were 17 of us who got together a local place to eat, I called Al and asked if he wanted to go and he said "Yes" before I got done asking. He was ready and raring to go when we got there, so I put his stuff in the fridge and off we went. After lots of visiting and pictures-I forgot to take any at my house-we took him home and the Yeti got his TV fixed. He bumps something on the remote and has troubles after that. I'll give him a call later and I think FIL is coming over for supper, maybe MIL, that's unsure yet. She was dehydrated and wound up getting fluids and has a couple of other things going on, so......It's been great having #2 and GF here, tomorrow they'll head toward Duluth and stay along Lake Superior in WI, then to Tahquamenon Falls-he'd been there as a toddler and eventually to her folks' place in southern MI. They'll be there for a few days then off to Brooklyn. I thought we didn't get them for Christmas this year, but we do! So, the Microperson and his parents, #2 & GF, it'll be great!
Better finish this computer stuff, the Yeti and #2 are at his aunt's and GF is working downstairs, supper is completely leftovers! Woo Hoo!

CJ, I'm so happy to hear things were looking better with DMIL this morning. Continued prayers.
The golf cart batteries weren't too low on water but now I feel better having topped them off and checked the connections too. All should be good for another couple months....I hope.
This morning I could only get a start on 4 cards. My neck just can't tolerate looking down for too long and I have to stop. Maybe later I can finish them. Although I'm not sure what greeting will be on the cards. Maybe I'll just leave them blank inside and out and finish as needed.
Laurie, such a nice family gathering you had. I can just see All hustling to get out the door. hehehe
Elle, the diamond painting is more addictive than anything. But my old joints make it a slow process now and that takes the fun out of it for me.
Grammy, I think it's recliner time for me now too. Zzzzz
IC, my sympathies to Christina.

Grammy I just went to edit on your post scrolled to the very bottom and hit the backspace all the way to the top and then saved it. I'm thankful that you didn't get upset that I fixed it. I remembered you mentioning it one time that it bothered you when that happened so I just took it upon myself to fix it for you. I didn't change anything I would never do that I respect you and your thoughts so I would only correct the empty spaces at the bottom of your post.

Thanks, Mamma when I did that nothing happened. I'll try again when that white space comes up. These old fumbling fingers don't always hit th right key then I don't know how to undo what happens
