Good Morning....
It's been a rainy morning. It started around 4 with thunder and lightening. The rain came down pretty good for quite a while. The humidity has risen through the roof.
Not much planned for today other than the usual laundry and vacuuming. My mom and I will go to the cemetery tomorrow morning as there isn't any rain predicted. It would be way too wet out there now.
DH and his brother finalized everything for the new place for DMIL. It is officially hers and they can start moving things in if they want. There is already a bed in there which they will leave it there and get rid of hers. It's very very small so not a lot of things can be taken there. Probably just her rocker and table with a lamp. They hope to put her book case in there and then a few pictures on the wall. She hasn't seen it yet and I don't really think she remembers much talk about it. When they did tell her she would be moving, she told them she did not want to move again. She was content right where she is. So this is going to be hard. They aren't moving her till sometime after the 4th. Please add a little prayer for DH, DBIL and DMIL for things to go well.
Well, time to get the laundry going. Have a great day everyone....

It's a cloudy rainy day here too. That's ok, I'll just try to stay busy inside. I need to clean a couple of rooms and also have laundry to do. Tomorrow is Prime Timers at church so I need to think of something to bring there. Game night was fun. It got a bit competitive and that was a lot of laughs. I ended up going for coffee at the Cabin yesterday afternoon after a late invitation. So it was a full day. BTW, I haven't seen the kittens or mother. I hope they're safe.
CJ I feel bad for your DH/brother and their mother. It's such a hard thing to do. I will remember to pray for you, family and situation to go smoothly.
ICOOK I turned my a/c on yesterday too. The humidity seemed to pour in later in the day. The dusting here is done but I need to vacuum and swiffer some floors.
Good morning to all and help yourself to coffee.

Good Morning Ladies - - - It's just beautiful here today, after our dark, rainy, gloomy and cold day yesterday and I have heard tomorrow is to just be a perfect day! CJ, sounds like our weather is moving on to you, so looks like you will have a good one tomorrow to go to the cemetery. I plan to go to ours today - I need to remove what is in the ground by July 1, but I can leave the saddles that clip over the stones, so they will have some flowers and I have a garden flag between their stones. I was going to go yesterday, but too wet here then. My dear neighbor will go with me and she will do the actual picking up of them, since it's so hard for me to walk there. I have a load of towels in the dryer now, so will shower when I'm done here and get on with my day.. I will see if they dry in the set amount of time or if I will need more, like before. He pulled the W & D out from the wall a little bit, thinking that will help with the air flow. Otherwise, not much happening or planned here today!

This morning I slept in until almost 7 PTL. Of course by then the sun really heated things up. It's 90º with just a little breeze and the temp will continue to rise.
The sheets are in the washer and I now finally have my first cup of coffee. Surprise, I turned on the mini split in here to cool me. I'll do some dusting of the high places that I don't get to on a regular basis. I don't like climbing to do the job, but it is time. Nothing else on the egenda.
CJ, yes, I will say a prayer that things go well today. That sure worked out more quickly than originally stated. Nice!!!! Stay dry!

Wow, what a crowded doorway this morning. lOL
IC< dusting the high spots today. Don't work too hard.
Elle, stay home days are nice for getting things done. Yesterday and today are catch up time for me. Nothing to do next week. It does sound like you had and have some fun things planned. Enjoy
Jane, I hope that your laundry dries better. If it weren't so hot and my shoulders wouldn't mind, I'ld hang my sheets on the lines. But it's too hard for me to do alone. Enjoy your nice weather.

Good morning to all. We had a light rain overnight and it is cloudy, hot and humid here. I decided to forego the walk this morning since I didn't get up until shortly after 7:00. Watering and weeding is done, as is breakfast, and I have eggs and potatoes boiling on the stove. Going to make some potato salad as I believe something relating to my birthday will be going on here this afternoon/evening. Lots of signals, including DD#1 coming to Amelia's ballgame last night and some coordinating going on between her and #2 and Mike. First, I am meeting #2 in town around noon to watch Josie Mae while she takes Amelia to a birthday party at a gymnastics facility. Mike has met DSIL#2 and they are going to a farm auction this morning.
By the way, Mike has caught a raccoon two nights in a row. That's the good news; the bad news is that they are falling for the trap (baited with marshmallows, no less) AFTER they have raided the corn stalks in the garden. He has checked for tracks trying to figure out which way they are coming in to position the trap differently, but hasn't been able to tell. So, he's going to buy one or two more traps today and set multiple traps tonight. And, the new mole service came yesterday and set traps and we can tell that one has been tripped already this morning. Moles were just ruining our yard and we asked our pest control service what they could do and they put us in touch with this wildlife control service. I told Mike we might have to branch out to both moles and raccoons, but he is so mad at the raccoon(s) that it has become a matter of personal principle to him to kill them himself--LOL.
The debate watch party on Thursday night was an awesome time at an awesome facility and Mike did indeed win the best political t-shirt contest--well, they had three winners and he was one of them. He even had a state representative and several other audience members come up and ask to take a picture of his shirt and ask him where they could get one! He became quite the celebrity that night!
Yesterday, we had lunch with two of our car club members after a busy morning of mowing, laundry, walking, watering, weeding, etc. Then, Amelia's ballgame in the evening.
CJ, praying for strength and wisdom for you and your family. It definitely sounds like you are doing the right thing for your DMIL.
IC Cook, very humid here, too. So glad you have Christina to help you out.
Elle, I am sure whatever you decide to take to the potluck will be enjoyed by all. By the way, I made a peanut butter sheet cake with peanut butter icing the other day and thought of you and your love for peanut butter--which I also love!
Jane, hope the dryer gets the job done in better time than before!l
Mama, my blinds in all the rooms in the house desperately need dusted and I am trying to figure out how to do that without taking them all down and putting them over porch railing and/or the clothesline and spraying them off with the hose. I am dreading the job.
Time to get to work on the potato salad before Josie Mae gets here. She is quite the bundle of energy at 3-1/2 (she greatly emphasizes the "1/2"!) and I will need to be focused and ready to follow her schedule and not mine--LOL. Hints are also being dropped about when can Trinity stay overnight and that means that Amelia and Josie will likely want to stay, too, so I had best get the things I want done finished quickly! Love to all....
Wishing all a wonderful day and great weekend.

Hi everyone, This week has been rough for my knees and ankles. I think the walking at the hospital last weekend got the best of me. I am going tomorrow hopefully to my cousins. She wants me to come out and go to an event with her so I am going to try, we had a rain one night this week hoping we will get more. Just wanted to let you all know that I've been planning to write and actually thought I had. Hope all of you are well and have a good day. Be back later.
P.S Today is a special day of remembrance for me. 62 years ago today I met my husband. ✔️✔️

Thanks for the prayers and good thoughts.
Debbie...Moles love grubs. So maybe putting a grub control on your yard will help. It did for us. Used to have skunks digging little holes all over the yard looking for them. And when we see a mole path, we know they are looking for grubs. DH has a mole trap and has caught many in the years we have lived here.
