Hi, thought I posted yesterday, I was wrong. Anyway, went to the dermatologist yesterday, today I look like I got punched in the eye, but all was nothing to worry about. So, in a month if I have any issues I am to let them know. On to the dentist on Thursday, and GB scan on Monday, then I should be done with a 10,000 mile checkup soon. I skipped Mahjong this morning, my face hurts a bit and my eye is weepy, but I did go to a book club sewing gathering yesterday. That was fun and today for even more fun we are to be working at the other house to hopefully finally be on the market and sold. I hope so, the atmosphere around the House of Turner is less than fun. #2 made it to Ann's and appears to be enjoying his stay. I've not bugged #1 as he has had a very busy weekend, so I'll call him later. Better finish my coffee and see what is next on my to-do list of fun....
Laundry is on the line and the Pterodactyl sized mosquitoes are out. Oy!

Good Morning...
It's raining along with thunder and lightening. My mom and I were planning to go to the cemetery today but changed it to tomorrow or Thursday. So I'll look for other things to do today around here. The rain is suppose to be done around noon then it will get sunny and humid. The rain is good for my garden and flowers.
Teddy is getting the tubes in his ears this morning. It was an early appointment, but I haven't heard from her yet as to how everything went. I figured she would have let me know by now.
Lauriet...hope you get everything taken care of at the house. Is this your dad's house?

Out and back and second cup of coffee. Already hot and sticky so I'm glad that Mandy was quick. I do have to go to the office and get my mail. I don't check very often since I don't do much by mail anymore. Mail service is so unreliable that I don't use it unless I have no choice. So I don't check my mail box more than maybe once a week, if even that.
Handyman is coming this morning to put three filters on my RO system. Then I'll ask him about a task in the bathroom to see if he is able or capable of doing what I need done there. I have some things around here that I want to get done that Mark didn't. When I have the $ saved up i move forward with my wants/needs. Slowly it is getting done. I'm in no rush anyway.
When the filters have been replaced and the handyman is done I should clean the kitchen floors from the mess. But my right shoulder is screaming this morning so i may just leave them for another day. Again, no rush.

Laurie, you seem to be up and ready to face the day with lots of plans! Sounds like it's time to get that house on the market Hope it sells quickly. Wish there was something more I could do! Sounds like thd 10,000 mile check up went well hope there is no bad news in the follow up notifications.
CJ no storms predicted here just rain showers. Seeds that yo u and dm will enjoy the day out more withou t the rain. Hope all goes well with Teddy and the ear tubes.
Mamma not much of the mail here has my name on it. DD takes care of most fo my stuff that is mailed. Do nice to have someone do that for me. Why would you need 3 RO faucets we only have one for 8 people and that works fine
Looking very dark out there maybe we will get a shwer

Grammy I don't have 3 RO faucets. I have a 5 filter system and it is under the kitchen sink. The water in Yuma, is so bad that we need at least a 5 filter system. Three filters will be replaced today and all 5 in December. The faucet is in the kitchen sink, it is not a whole house system. I have a water softener that filters the water somewhat but not for drinking. You can't drink the water here, well you can but it tastes really really really bad. I had 5 envelopes in my mail slot and all were junk mail and got shredded. I do nothing by mail except an occasional greeting card.

Good Morning Ladies - - - If I hurry, anyway! I was off to coffee this morning - it was out today, since the gal whos turn it was is gone with my neighbors 4 wheeling. Nice to see the gals, since I missed last week.
The kids sent me more sad pictures last night - they drove down as far as they could, and then turned around towards home again - - It is just so very sad. The neighbors who they had the dog for and were caught in a motel for the night got home yesterday - - Took them 2 hours for a normally 5 mile trip. They have 4 kids, and one king sized bed. They were going to charge them 50 for a cot. They are trying to build a dirt birm on the interstate exit that goes to there house, however, that is the road when part of it is gone, so won't be going that way for some time anyway.
Laurie, hope you can get the house sold soon and have one less worry. I did hear that the house explosion in Lansing was caused by the LP tank sliding down the hill, which they saw happening and had got the people out first.
CJ, yes better days for going to the cemetery. Maybe Teddy wanted to cuddle when they got home, so DD couldn't get to the phone.
Mamma, so much junk mail is right on track. We could save a lot of trees with out it and will only be getting worse the closer we get to Nov.
Grammy, yes, it's so nice that you have help with your mail and so many other things for that matter, not the least of which is the company!
My cleaning couple or at least, she, is suppose to come this afternoon. He had a little medical procedure so not sure if he is up to helping yet or not.

It's cooler here today, but tomorrow HOT again I kept the AC on since another hot day tomorrow I raised the temp. a little My girlfriend Julie was here today No inspectors here yet I'm tired of getting ready for it & they don't show up.
CJ Some showers coming my way tomorrow.

Mike, the handyman, has come and gone. He finished the job in like 15 minutes. He charges for half an hours work, unlike some that charge a whole hour. Mandy liked him, which is odd for her, she is usually quite protective. Anyway, he said that my filters don't need to be changed as often. Mike has the same system as I do and lives here in the foothills too, and lives alone. So he said, after looking at my filters, that I wouldn't need to change them but say every 18 months to two years. That is what he does. That will save me some money too. He looked at what I want done in the bathroom and at $60 an hour, he thought he could get it done in about three hours. Plus I may need a small piece of sheet rock, depending on the damage done to the wall. So I'll start saving for that too.
Lunch was an egg salad sandwich and some chips. Supper will be left over steak. Tomorrow I hope to have my pizza. It just got too late, and I was starving, to start putting the pizza together. Mike was late getting here.
Jane, so many people are dealing with so much from the flooding. My prayers go out to all. I'm happy your kids are safe.
I have a bit of a messy kitchen that needs my attention.....

I am home from the luncheon. It was nice. We ate at a small restaurant and the food was really good. I had a hamburger and a salad. I took a plate of homemade peanut butter fudge To share with my friends, they all loved it. Our next outing will be a fashion show At the fair July 16. I won't take anything to that. But our next thing will be the end., of July. I am to take poundcake and Potato salad. For now, I'm tired and I'm thinking about taking a nap. I got gas for 2.89. If you open the window and hear barking, that is the Nugget. There is a long garter snake by the hose, I'm surprised I didn't see it when I was using the hose, probably better that I didn't. It's very colorful and still creepy and one of my least favorite critters. The kids had them when they were younger, I've not come to appreciate them more with age, so to those who do, yay for you. Nim is just looking at it. Dad's house sold last week, we will not see anything from it, didn't expect to, but I did receive reimbursement for something we'd paid for. This is the other house, ran out of paper towels and had to go to town for something else, we didn't stay at the house long, I could've brought some from here tomorrow. I got the carpet cleaner cleaned and ready to go and it ran for five minutes and gave up the battle. So, that will join the other two vacs and a shop vac that have gone the way of the trash. No idea why so many vacs in the garage there, fewer all the time at this rate. I'll be heading there early tomorrow and then have a meeting at 4pm.
My eye is itchy and puffy, but I kicked up some dust today, that probably irritated it? Never had this done before, so who knows. Today is #1's 37th birthday, he has a group we call the June 25thers, seems to grow all the time. He's taking it easy tonight, this weekend they're going to a friend's place to help with some cattle stuff. I had a big lunch, so I'm not planning on supper, maybe some cheese and crackers, that sounds good.
