Good Morning....
It's sunny but still cool. Should start warming up this afternoon. As long as you stand in the sun it feels good, but the shade is too cold.
No plans for the day...so I'll see what comes along.
Coffee is ready, and it turned out good this morning. Help yourselves.
Have a great day...........

Sunny and 76º at 7 am. Mandy and I walked to the pet area this morning and we were alone the whole time. I guess the others were early today.
There is a load of dark clothes in the washer and that is it for the to do list. Nothing planned for today other than make some tapioca pudding, meals and dishes. All that excitement is so exhausting that I'll need a nap.
It looks as though I'll have no one to ride with me to Mexico on Friday. Debbie has been having bad issues with her IBS, Lynda has a doctors appointment and Karen is out of town visiting with family for a couple days. Oh well, at least God will be with me.

Carolyn, the drive to Mexico where I cross is only about 20 minutes at the most. It's not far to drive, I just don't like driving on the freeway by myself. Have a nice day.

Goodmorning grannies, it's a 70* day but still too much chilly wind for me to want to stay out there very long. I did sit in the sun for a little while. When the sun went behind a cloud I moved inside. The warm up starts tomorrow. Today is still flannel pants and sweatshirt day
CJ I agree the sun sure feels good but the shade is just too cool to make me want to be out there. Your helpers will be back tomorrow save some work for them to help with.
IC Christina sure does have more than her share of problems.
Mamma sorry there is no one to go with you Friday. Living alone we have to do a lot of things for ourselves! Some of those things are not so easy to do alone.
I think both wrens nested and now have babies! The House Wrens are busy carrying food and chasing other birds away. Carolina Wrens left the nest a few days ago so all is well with both of them. I didn't know they would nest that close to one another.
Nothing much to be done today just the usual pick up and put away things. I've done the important things like feed the birds

CJ The sun does feel good. After lunch I'm heading to the back deck with my book and soaking in the rays. Tomorrow it probably will be too hot to do that.
ICOOK I'm sure both you and Tinker are happy to see Christina even if it is later. Enjoy your time with her.
MAMMA The 1st are the worst!! And I think there are a lot of those and probably more to come. I bet Mandy missed her fur friends this a.m. You'll do well going on the interstate. You can do it!
CAROLYN It's a good day for you! you got to see your favorite little one.
GRAMMY There are 3 baby robins in the nest at the neighbors and they are growing fast. From morning to night it seems they're growing. I'm pretty sure they'll be out of the nest in a week or less. It's sure fun watching them though.
I went to prayer meeting this a.m. Now it's going to be left over ham and bean soup for lunch. Not much more planned but I might make a trip to Joan's. I think they have fleece material on sale and I'll make some blankets for those needing them but probably will wait until winter to start on them.

Good day to all. It is a nice day here, but a heat wave moving in to stay for a while tomorrow. The walk is done, a Monte Cristo sandwich casserole has been made and is chilling as instructed in the fridge before baking. Croissants toasted and cut sides lightly spread with a mixture of Dijon mustard and blackberry preserves, then piled up with swiss cheese, deli turkey and deli ham, topped with a mixture of half and half and eggs. Chilled for at least two hours or overnight before baking. Stay tuned; I am hoping it will be good.
As far as supper tonight, not sure how or when that will be as Mike and I are each going to a ballgame tonight; Mike to Amelia's and me to Trinity's. One starts at 6:00 and the other at 6:30 and each have hour and a half time limits, so it will be 7:30/8:00 when they are over and both are about an hour away from our house. It may be hamburgers at the respective ballparks for both of us. The casserole can wait until tomorrow night, I guess.
Mike is at an interview with the Missouri Highway Patrol for a part-time position they have in their garage facility there. It would be for about 20 hours per week and sounds like something he would really like. We now have the time to do things around the house, but all the gas used in pursuing grandkids in their activities, buying supplies for what we want to do to the house and lawn, needing a new welder/generator for Mike and just the horrible inflation, all when we don't want to touch our investments yet, made him consider a part-time job. We'll see how it works for him and then I may pursue one, too. It's easier for me to find one for him as it seems someone can always use office help. Hope this works out and is something he enjoys.
Waving to all and wishing you a wonderful day. Need to get some dusting started; I have procrastinated long enough!

Good Afternoon Ladies - - - It's chilly here too and going to get chillier from what I understand, then a warm up. It's only 68. It rained a little while I was in the funeral, but over when we left. I was hoping to have someone to go with, in case I needed an arm, but didn't hear from anyone, except an old neighbor who wanted to sit with me, but when I was signing the book, one of the coffee couples came in and was right behind me, and all the rest of the neighbors sat together and ate together. I was lucky to find the best parking spot - couldn't have asked for a better one. I'm going to wave at all and go get in my chair for awhile -- My legs are needing a rest, so will get them up and I may have a little nap too, even though I had the best night of sleep that I have had in months. I slept until 7:10 without getting up at all! Maybe things are coming together yet! Still no word from the guy to work in the bathroom!

The laundry is done for the day, tapioca pudding cooling in the fridge and my taco salad lunch is done too. Dishes are waiting to be washed, but I'm just not ready to tackle them.
This is not the first time I've driven to Mexico myself, I've done it before. I just don't like it. I need someone to distract me from that horrible bridge and thoughts of breaking down. My self confidence died with Mark and before he came along, I had none. I'm back to square one. Nothing anyone can say will ever change that. I am what I am.
Sunny and 100º. I just came in from taking my clothes off of the lines and opening the shed. Phew, it's warm out there. I try to check inside the shed at least once a week and sometimes twice. And leave it open on the hot days when I am home. There isn't much of anything in there anymore but I like to keep an eye on the hot water heater, it's new and I don't want issues with it already.
I'm so tired I think I'll sit in the recliner and let the dishes wait, they won't go anywhere. I need a nap.
