Christina comes again today Then I won't see her till Tuesday I'll miss her She is such a sweetheart Tinker goes for her shot. She'll give the floors a sweep & a quick clean of the bathroom.

Good Morning....
It's sunny and bright. A little on the cool side right now but will warm up later. No coffee no the swing as it was too wet out there. We had a hard rain yesterday afternoon and another brief light shower early this morning.
I've got laundry going already and will sweep the kitchen and mop the bathroom floors. Should clean the tub and sink, too.
Still have a couple hosta to plant. Looking for the right place...LOL The ground will be easier for digging with all the rain...so should get them in the ground soon....like today.
Not much happening of interest yet. Have a great day...............

Nope, my back is no better, but then I do know backs take a long time to recover. So I just have to do what I have to do regardless of how much I hurt. This morning it's a trip to the dentist for a cap and that is it for this trip. Next week more intense work will be done.
I do hope we will get home before the really high temps hit us. It really isn't safe to be out and about when it gets too hot. Plus when in pain, I just want to be in my own home. Karen wants to stop for lunch and I can do that but no shopping for me until all is well again.
Mandy and I were out and back in record time, no one else was there today. She also wanted to walk, but not today. Hopefully we can walk again next week. That also all depends on the heat of the asphalt in the mornings.

The day is greeting me with sunshine and nice temps. We had a hard rain and lots of wind yesterday. When I got home from Coffee at the Cabin, my garage door would not open. So, I got my keys out and had to come in the front door. It took a long time to find the right keys as I haven't used them in years. So, I now have them marked. But the garage door opener wasn't working because the electricity was off. The wind and rain did it, but I wasn't home long, and it came back on. Of course, the clocks had to be set again. Later this afternoon I'm going to Toledo to visit my oldest DGD, 36yrs. old. She has been diagnosed with cancer and yesterday she had surgery that removed the tumor and female organs. She will also be having Chemo but we're not sure when that will start. Not a pleasant thing but we're going to go through it together as a family.
ICOOK Tinker will feel better after having the shot. I'm assuming it's the allergy shot. It seems that even humans are battling allergies more than before.
CJ I haven't had my coffee on the deck for a while. To me the a.m.'s have been cool. I do go out later but then at times it's too hot. Good luck in finding just the right spot for the Hosta.
MAMMA Ouch! I hope the back gets better real soon. I think it's so neat how our fur babies let us know what they want. Kayli would get in front of me and just "eyeball" me when she wanted something. I hope all goes well at the dentist and it and the trip won't be too painful for you.

It is overcast and I think light rain.
I am going to finish laundry today.
There are 3 Shoneys not far from here, well
35 to 40 miles to each one, 3 different towns
My cousin lives in Knoxville and Shoneys is
about halfway for each of us..
Hope all of you are feeling good.
Going to make something to eat. Salad and
leftover soup.
Elle, my prayers are with your DGD. Glad you
are able to visit her.
Mama, be careful in the heat. It can be dangerous
as you know.

Good Morning Ladies - - - Nice morning at 67 and sunny! It is very windy though. Not much planned for the day - will see how things pan out.
IC, hope the shot goes well for Tinker.
CJ, I know you are missing your swing this morning - hope you can look for a new one soon, so you won't be without it when the weather is good for sitting out.
Mamma, have a good little road trip today and hope the work on your tooth goes well. I'm sure that tar does get hot on those little tootsie's.
Ellie, so sorry to hear about your DGD. I know she will appreciate the family support. We feel very helpless, but knowing someone cares is a big lift.
Carolyn, we were posting at the same time. Enjoy your Shoney's visit!

CAROLYN Salad and soup sounds good! Did you make the soup? We have a Frisch's and I think that is a lot like Shoney's, just another version of it. Their prices are reasonable.
GREENBACK I think you will probably find something to do, even if its a good movie, book or a favorite of yours. Enjoy the day and stay warm but out of the wind.

Tinker got her shot & more antibiotics to help her teeth Finally got to the cemetery to put artificial flowers on my parents grave.
Elle I am so sorry to hear that your DGD is ill I'll be saying prayers for her She has her family there for her. Got a heavy shower this afternoon just as Christina & I got to the cemetery.

OOPS! I was ready to start this when DSIL started work on the river rock area that is being added to my patio. I then forgot to return to do the typing. I needed to do a little supervising on that job and forgot to come back here. DGD has lots of greenery for me but I need some color so I will buy a couple of pots o colorful plants and that should brighten it up some. I think it looks lots better and should be easier to take care of with less weed eating to be done. I sure wish I could do some of that work!!
MAMMA sorry to hear that your back isn't improving today. Hope all goes well when you see the dentist.
elle locked out in the rain! Glad you remembered the keys so you could get in another door and it was an electric glitch not trouble with the door!Very sorry to hear the your DGD had cancer and had to have so much surgery prayers that she makes a good recovery and all the cancer is gone.
Not much going on here today I have been sleeping better and still take naps during the day? I think some of the baby wrens are out of the nest and on the deck hiding in the plants around the fountain. The adults are taking lots of suet into that spot. Hope the cats don't find them for a snack
I think I'll go outside to get warm and make some more plans for the river rock area

Left home by 8 and home at 10:30. Easy peasy.....this time. Too early for lunch so we just went to our homes. I really like my dentists in Mexico. Next week, I won't like anyone. LOL I can handle 5 root canals, but one extraction, oh dear the pain. One extraction next time and then mostly caps and finish one root canal. Then I'm done for three months.
Time to get Mandy out and then I'll make some rice krispie treats. Temp is 107 on my porch. It will be a quick trip outside.
Elaine, prayers for your dd and the rest of the family. When one hurts all hurt.

Mamma I've been seeing the oral surgeon for a year & a half Two more teeth pulled next month Hope I am done after that

IC, that light color is extremely hard to see. I've only had my wisdom teeth pulled and now my one front tooth. No oral surgery mostly new caps. I do need to practice going to the dentist more regularly though.
