Good Morning....
There was thick fog when I got up. It's starting to break up now, but still quite hazy. Going to be a nice day.
We are getting a new storm door and now want to paint the other door. We are at odds on what color. We have an orangey brick with almond trim and garage door. I'm thinking a sage green or possibly a rusty red. DH brought home some sample patches but most he picked out are a bright color that I don't like. I guess I'll have to go look for myself.
I've got a load of laundry in the dryer and will vacuum and swiffer in a bit. I have another cup of coffee to consume, so I'll do that while watching Live with Kelly and Mark. I like the beginning where they talk about things.
Have a great day everyone.....

Good morning. Not much happening here today except another load of laundry in the washer this morning. I will be caught up with the laundry after this. Just some cleaning to do if I can find the ambition to do so.
CJ, Good luck finding just the right color for your new door.

Good morning all, It's been a bit wet here today, so the stuff I planted got a bit wet. I'm planning to meet a lady to dig some lilies, plum shoots, and lilac shoots. Nothing is set in stone yet as I have a headache, so we'll see. There's coffee, BBL. Blessed be.

Good Morning Ladies - - - It's not very sunny here today, at least not yet, and just 67. Nothing special happening here - just another day. I have a load in the washer - I know it's done, so need to get moving and get it in the dryer, but so easy to stay here! Breakfast is over, coffee gone, so no excuse not to get moving. CJ, don't some of those paint company's have digital apps where you can see what your house would look like with the different colored doors? I seem to think I have seen something on that. I guess if you choose something and really don't like it after you are done, you just get another color and redo it. Not like you are stuck with your choice for life. Good luck - hope you can do a picture when you are finished. Mamma, laundry seems to be the word of the day - - It must be Monday! Laurie, hope the headache takes a hike!

I took all the curtains down in the kitchen and bedrooms and they are in the washer. Then washed the woodwork around the windows and the ledges. Everything is covered in that yellow pollen. My Swiffer was just terrible. We'll be washing all the hardwood floors soon. Now it's the cotton wood seeds flying in the air and filling up all the screens. If it isn't one thing, it's another...LOL
Mamma...hope you can get done what you want to do today.
Lauriet...hope the headache goes away. I used to have really bad migraines and lots of them. Once I went through the change, I don't get headaches at all.
Greenback...I'll have to check out the websites about seeing the virtual home and color choices. You asked about the pizza we had by the lake. Well, DH asked me before we left if I wanted a whole pizza or just slices. I said a whole pizza so we could have it for the next nights supper. Well, we get there and he just orders two slices....WHAT??? Did he not hear what I said??? So I was a little peeved at that and he knew it. Maybe that's why he suggested going out to breakfast yesterday morning.
The washer is about done. Once that goes in the dryer, my work for the day is done. I've vacuumed, dusted and swiffered...oh, and washed the woodwork and baseboards. That's enough for me. I'll have to put the curtains back up later.

Goodmorning grannies, it was a cloudy and foggy morning but the sun seems to won out for today. Temp is 71 now and going to the mid 80s this afternoon! I might get warm today and here I sit wearing flannel pants and sweatshirt. I won't mind changing if it gets too warm.
CJ the door will be pretty when it's painted with the color you choose! I wish ours were a different color but I seem to be to be the only one that wants it changed from the dark wine color it is now. If they would just put things away when finished with them!! Looks trashy with all the stuff left out where they finished work!! Oh, well, guess i need to stay down here more.
Mamma, I need Kathy to do a few things for me since she couldn't clean for me on Sat. There's getting to be too many things I can't do. DD has been doing my laundry for some time. She doesn't think I should take the basket up the stairs. I do appreciate all they do for me it's just hard not to do things when I want them done.
Laurie all those new plants sound like you are ready to play in the dirt! That would be fun time for me.
Greenback this was a lazy morning for me too. I just finished off a blueberry bagel and called it breakfast. Now it's time for lunch!
Nothing special going on here today just same ole, same ole things

GRAMMY I am laughing when you said you just finished "breakfast" and now it's time for lunch. I finished breakfast about an hour ago and like you, it's lunch time. I keep telling myself, who cares, what's the hurry? I can eat when I want to. LOL You have a few years on me but I am listening to what you say. My mom said many of the same things.
CJ I was probably still in my jams when you had half of your work already finished. You have a lot of ambition and a lot accomplished in a short time. Good luck in finding the right color for the door.
GREENBACK Do we need a reason to get moving? LOL I feel guilty if I sit for a long period of time. I guess the training/teaching about being "idle" still says keep moving. I hope you have a good day.
MAMMA I missed hearing about Mandy and her venture out to see if her furbaby friends was there to play with. I hope you have a good, relaxing and pleasant day.
It's a beautiful morning! The afternoon is going to be warmer. I sprayed the weeds again. They sure don't die easy! I also waterer and deadheaded my flowers. The rain had really beat them up and they were looking pretty bad. I have errands to run this afternoon. It's kind of a laid-back day, so far.
Wishing all a safe and good day.

Good afternoon to all. It is warmer and more humid here, and rain is forecast by evening, but, so far, I have not turned the AC on. Drew arrived to spend four nights with us and we are taking him to a Nike basketball camp in Jefferson City each day. So far, he has highly approved of what we've had to eat. I made a batch of sausage/egg/cheese bites in muffin tins and he had two of those for breakfast along with a slice of toast and jelly made out of my homemade oatmeal bread and #2's homemade strawberry jam. I packed his lunch and sent along homemade granola bars and homemade peanut butter cups for both him and his buddy, Alex, who is also attending the camp. I'll be taking Alex back to his dad's place of employment each day after the camp. The camp is at the new high school in town and we hadn't been there before. Oh my, is it nice! The gym is air conditioned, unlike a lot of older school gyms, including at Drew's school, so that will be great for the hard-playing basketballers.
Tonight's supper will be chicken breasts cooked in the crockpot with picante sauce and will be served as chicken and cheese quesadillas with some street corn as a side.
I didn't get to walk this morning, so I went to the gym I joined and did 30 minutes on the elliptical before the chair yoga class at 11:30. When I got home I was starved and we had lunch and now, after talking to you, my friends, I am going to get clothes off the line and maybe get around to transplanting a hosta or, too, although I have to pick Drew up at 3:00, so that may not happen.
CJ, it's always hard to pick out a paint color and it always looks different on the wall than it does in the can. I think Sherwin Williams may have the tool that Jane was talking about. Also, our local lumber store, where we got supplies for our kitchen remodel, helped recommend colors to me and there was no charge.
Laurie, hope your headache is better by now.
Mama, how do you like the new chairs? Has a second set arrived?
Good morning, Jane, how did you sleep last night?
Grammy, how are you liking the new rock outside your door?
Elle, I feel like you, that it's sinning if I sit! My mom couldn't abide laziness and she was always doing something so I guess I take after her!
IC Cook, I hope Christina hasn't encountered more bad luck!
Time to do something before going to get our houseguest. I look forward to seeing how his first day of camp went. He is a really good player, but still lots to learn and he was nervous about going. He seems cocky sometimes, but if you look deeper, he isn't as self-sure as he wants everyone to think. Wishing all a great rest of the day.

ICOOK No a/c here for a few days. I hope Christina is ok and will be there tomorrow.
DEBBIE It was my dad that thought we needed to stay busy. I was an inside/homebody and my sisters were more outside. My brothers didn't have a choice. I'm still more of an inside than outside person. But we were never browbeaten or put down. We just knew things had to be done and do it.
I hope Drew learns a lot and you and DH will be able to keep up with him. LOL

Hi again. Headache is gone, just feel like I went through the wringer-as my mom would say. I think I overdid it when I was doing plants yesterday. I shoveled from the compost heap 13 molasses tubs of dirt, I googled unsuccessfully to see how much that was, but it was a LOT! So, today I didn't go to my History Center meeting here-I'm fine with that-and did stuff around the house. I was up in my space working on putting away the craft stuff from the aunt. I still have Dad's stuff up there and don't know what to do with it. I just want to get the room organized so I can use the space. A couple of ideas have fallen through, we'll see. There are still some plants out there to get in the ground so I think I'll do that and come in and shower later. Both Mrs. Red Kravitz and the Nugget are now sans some big ol' snarls by their ears from their collars. The birdies should be happy with the fluff. I wonder when the yard will get mowed though?
Have any of you had carpal tunnel issues? I tuck my hands under my chin at night and they are very painful sometimes and are numb when I get up. If I do too much with my hands-typing or crocheting or whatever they ache too. Another topic for tomorrow's dr visit. I'll go there, then to the farm for a bit and back to the other house as finallllllllllllllly it is going to go on the market, three years later than it should've, guess what I'll be doing all day Wednesday?
I guess that's all I've got, it'll be an earlier night for me, but off to put some hosta and phlox in the ground.

Today I’m kind of a lost soul. I’ve had so much going on and today nothing so I’m out of sorts. This morning I finished the laundry, so that job is done for another week. Mandy and I walked to the pet area and got there before Mary and Emily left. Mandy and Emily get so excited but then ignore one another. Hehehehehe Now I’m just sitting and watching tv bored to tears.
After trying to find something in my upright freezer I decided I had better start eating what is in there and leave the cereal alone. I’ve got enough home cooked meals and TV dinners to last me a month and then some. But when I go to the freezer I’m not hungry for anything that is in there.🥴 No more shopping except for fresh fruit, veggies, bread, eggs, and milk. Will see how that works.
From Wednesday through Friday we are in an excessive heat warning. Oh joy. Thank God for the new heat pump. I shouldn’t have to worry about that. I may have to turn on the mini split in here though to keep the computer and freezer from the heat that does affect this room negatively. It doesn't get used much but does a good job. I'm quite frugal. I just got done putting styrofoam in the windows in this room. Usually I only put it in the east and north windows. The north windows never are without, since they don't open I just leave them covered. I like to see out the west but nope, they are covered now too. I may have to go and get some more for the west windows in the living room. That room is always warmer than the others. The west sun is horrible. But it's not just the windows, it's living in a glorified trailer aka park model. I can't do anything about the thin walls.
I’ve already taken a half hour nap in my recliner so I better not do that again today or I won’t sleep tonight. A half hour is enough. Some times it doesn’t feel like nearly enough though. Hehehe
Debbie the second set of chairs never came, they were sent back to the company. But FedEx is so stupid, I'm still getting notices that they are on the way. Geesh. Oh and I am happy to have 4 chairs now.
Prayers for all.
