Going to be chilly here today but the sun is shining. Christina just called she fell last night so isn't coming till tomorrow.

Good morning to you, good morning to you, I can't remember the next lines....Anyhoos, there's coffee, help yourselves. It looks to be a pretty day, little bit of breeze and sunny. Yesterday was wonky, the Yeti got a call to go check on his aunt, she wasn't answering her phone and her county nurse was there in the yard-lots more to it, but all was ok. Got home and did a few things and got ready to go observe an art event for a board I am on and the printer didn't work for the form I needed-got to the wrong place-gave up and will go again to try on Friday. Wound up at another aunt's sitting on her patio and solving the problems of the world. She had some phlox she wanted me to take, so I dug those out and some for her friend and also transplanted a few things for her, it looked good and we had a five gallon bucket to go to compost by the time we were done. Now, we are to leave after bit to go get the IL's to go to this burial today, so looking at my clean hands and feet that look like I've been digging in the dirt. (duh!) well it looks like I best find some darker nail polish use, so I should go do my hair and all and then do my nails. I should able to wear pants, otherwise a sun dress will do. The doggos have something of great interest to them in the rock pile and have apparently located a snake in the retaining wall, such fun stuff to work around. I am hoping the trailer for my raised pots is done soon as some of those plants are screaming to be in the ground. Better locate a curling iron, BBL, blessed be.

Good Morning...
It's sunny but still kinda cold. It will warm up later today.
We have Teddy today and will have Penny later as she had a Dr appt this morning. Her mom will bring her when they are done. We traded days with the other grandparents as they are still up north but will be back later today and will take the kids tomorrow. On our way here, Teddy kept asking where Penny was as he knew she didn't come with us.
We've fed the squirrels their peanuts and they come right up to the door. He likes watching them.
My mom got her car back yesterday afternoon...so that's taken care of. She keeps saying she's gonna give up driving next year but that remains to be seen. She was not liking not having her car for these couple days. Unless her health starts going down hill, she'll probably still be driving next year.
Icook...hope Christina isn't hurt too bad.
Lauriet...Always lots going on around your house. You manage to keep busy.
Mamma...did the chairs arrive?

Good morning.
Out and back, a load of clothes in the washer and on my first cup of coffee. Then a trip to the bank and wait for my next chair order to be delivered. It's a warm 77º already at 7 am. Gonna be another hot one. Guess that's the desert life.
I'm still getting messages from FedEx saying that my previous order, the one that they sent back, is on the way. What a worthless company. And I got a message last night and again this morning that my second order will be coming today between 10 and 2. We shall see.
Last night my supper out was terrible. I just ordered pancakes thinking they can't ruin them, but they did. The pancakes were so tough I needed a steak knife to cut them. No refund on my order or replaced. I'll never eat there again. If Karen wants their spaghetti, I'll just have water with lemon, at least they got that right. When I got home I had a peanut butter sandwich I was so hungry.
After all the negatives of this week, I'm afraid to go to the dentist tomorrow. You can bet I'll be saying a lot of extra prayers. |

Good Morning Ladies - - - Looks like we have lots of early birds this morning. There's sunshine here but just 62, so need to do some warming up yet! Sunshine at least helps to make you feel like getting a start to the day! Yesterday I got a haircut, so that is feeling good. I didn't schedule my next one, as I have for years - - I so hate the sidewalk in front and she always parks in front of the shop, so if I can wait a week or two extra between cuts, it will lessen my time on the slanted sidewalk. They are having to move the shop as the building has been sold, but it won't be until fall. The good thing about it is they will be at the new place before winter and it will be a flat entrance! Yah!
Grammy, I was so happy to see you post again yesterday - - You were missed.
IC, hope Christina will be okay.
Laurie, you always have things going on and lots of excitement. Not sure how you all keep up, but the family is certainly lucky that you do. You are both there for so many of the others.
CJ, I can just see Teddy having fun watching that squirrel. As frustrating as they can be, they are fun to watch and are so entertaining.
Carolyn, hope you are feeling better today.
Mamma sorry that your meal wasn't what you had hopped it would be. Seems to be a lot of that anymore. Enjoy your new chairs.

Well, just waiting for my nails to dry, I cannot get them looking good after my digging yesterday, so darker polish it is. It'll come off soon as I only did one coat on hands and toes. My MIL gave me a pedicure gift certificate a few years ago-I cannot handle having my feet touched-odd, eh? It was not my favorite day. So, I do them myself and rarely wear polish, just using up what I have. Here's a funny one, said I'd stop dying my hair if it grayed like Mom's did. So, here I am, mostly gray and it now has a different texture. So, curling irons don't always do it. I tried hot rollers-holy heck-I had my mom's hair color and style. It's not a bad thing, but had to get it back to me. What a morning! Off to the service, BBL.

It's another cool morning here but supposed to warm up to the low 70's today and warmer tomorrow. I don't think it got out of the 60's yesterday. I walked last night but wore a jacket. I think I'll walk today too but might wait until it's warmer. I put a load of laundry in the washer and put them in the dryer and it wouldn't start. Nada, nothing. I though "oh no, I don't want to go to the laundromat and definitely don't want to buy a new dryer. Then I thought, well maybe I don't have electricity and nada, yep! no electricity. I saw the neighbors outside and asked if they had electricity and they said no. So I knew it was not something with my place. Then about 5 minutes later I got a text saying it was in the city and about that fast, it came back on. So the lights are working and the dryer is spinning. All is well. LOL
ICOOK Poor Christina, it seems like there's a lot of things going wrong for her lately. I hope she's ok and will be able to work again.
CJ How sweet for Teddy to miss his sister. There's a special love going on there with brother and sister. I'm sure he'll be happy to see her when she comes. I hope her Dr. appointment goes well.
CAROLYN I'm sorry you're not feeling well. Are you taking anything to calm your stomach? Take care.
MAMMA "And the saga continues." Will you or won't you get your chairs today? I agree, this has been going on long enough and FedEx certainly isn't looking very good right now. Who would have thought you could mess up a pancake?
GREENBACK I hope your haircut was a good one. And hopefully the move will be soon and be easier for you and others that aren't steady of their feet.
It's cleaning day but I also want to spend a little (little emphasized-lol) time outside.

Goodmorning grannies it's a chilly, sunshine, windy or maybe I could just say blustery day. temp is now 60* and staying in the 60s today. Yesterday was more rain and today is sunshine! Enough rain we can't even get the garden ready for planting! Last year everything got washed out because of too much rain hope that doesn't happen again. We can always eat bread and honey. The bees are doing great and making lots of honey. DGD just harvested a lot and I have forgotten how much?? I hope she cane sell some honey. She said Papaw would have been proud to see her go on a roof to gather a swarm of bees. She does enjoy working with them.Now she is growing mushrooms! We have had them twice and they are yummy!Last night it was mushroom sandwiches with cheese! This is a new to me mushroom I have used the big round ones on hamburger buns and have always liked them. I believe this one is Golden Italian ?? something but makes a tasty sandwich.
What a great welcome home you have given me! Hugs for each of you, I missed this site more than any other!! I hope we never have to be without computers that long again! I felt like i must have fallen into a deep dark hole.
Laurie I see you are the same busy gannie as always just busier now that you are a grannie in real life. Im sure you are a proud and happy grannie! You sure are surrounded by lots of family! I never lived anywhere there was much family near by. Thanks for making that phone call to dgd. The phone never occurred to me. I have the list but never thought of it.
Mamma sorry you are having a streak of bad luck! Sounds bad when pancakes are tough! Hope your luck improves soon! I eat most things just throw it down in front of me and I eat. That prob comes from having so little as I was growing up. Eat it or do without there was nothing else!
Greenback I understand about the sidewalk. My greatest fear is falling and sustaining an injury! I did get my haircut yesterday!! All done the way I wore it several years ago and it looks like a new grannie has moved into the ' hood!
Time to take a rest from this spot

I haven't done much today Resting up to clean on the weekend. Christina got me some country style spare ribs yesterday that were on sale Just froze them They were huge It was a family pack I have 10 pieces Won't need them for a long time.
Elle It's chilly here too Had to put pants on today.
Grammy Never heard of Italian mushrooms I would definitely give them a try if I see them at the store.
Jane I can't walk on slated sidewalks either Lose my balance to much.
Mamma I would be giving up on my order being delivered.

I hope y'all are sitting down......My chairs came this morning, 15 minutes sooner than expected. The young man brought the box right to the door and slid it inside. He said they are not allowed in houses. I thanked him up and down and sideways for getting the heavy box inside for me.
One chair is assembled and then I had to take a break, ate lunch and now I'm back at it. My arms are about done in but I still have to put on two legs. Thank God for my rechargeable and small screwdriver. It's the best purchase I've ever made. It has a bit for every need too. Now to take a pain pill and get back to work. After this I am done for the day, I couldn't possibly do anymore or my arms will fall off.

Good evening! I finally got my computer back and things are beginning to look normal again. It's been a long two weeks.
Work is going okay. I am busy. Today was one thing after another. I'll go in tomorrow because Monday was a holiday and Tuesday was Ted's doctor's appointment. Then to the two banks again and grocery store so ended up taking that day off too. Next week, Saturday, we leave on vacation and I'm ever so excited to be on our way. We are going to WV and KY.
Guess that will be it for now, just wanted to see if I still knew how to do things. Haven't posted yet, so my fingers are crossed.
