Good Morning ...
It rained again over night. Everything is soaked. I planted my bean seeds last week when it was warm and sunny...now it's cold and rainy so they will probably rot in the ground and I'll have to replant. I don't have good luck with my garden anymore.
Mamma...I don't understand how they can keep doing that. Hope you get it resolved soon.
DH didn't hear anything about my moms car, yesterday, so hope they call him today.
Have a great day everyone......

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY ICook. Was in the 50's last night. Needless to say I Didn't run ac. I hardly ever do, just use the ceiling fans. I put my electric blanket back on the bed. I am very cold natured . I have a day trip planned for tomorrow. We are going to Muddy Pond ( Amish community). And to a farmers market out there. I am going with the senior citizens group on a van. Saturday, I may go to a dinner and a Elvis impersonator is supposed to be there. It is only $10 for the meal And to see Elvis. Something to do. I wish my cousin could go with me. After that I have no plans right away, but something may come up. But she does not like to drive on these crooked roads. They make her nervous. That is why I go to her house so much. And There really isn't anything to do here And at least we can go out to eat out there. The closest restaurant i and grocery is 12 miles from here. And, she is my best friend as well as my cousin.π I hope all of you are doing well. I am still. having problems with my knee and ankle but I am terrified of surgery. Mama, hope you get your chairs. Missing GrammyOh. π¦π¦

Out and back home. We took the cart since I feel lazy this morning. I know we should have walked because soon there will be no walking at all besides under the solar and that ain't much. Oh well, it is what it is. Yesterday we topped out at 104 by my thermometer on the porch. Today it is to get to 100ΒΊ. Thankfully no humidity so it is much more tolerable than back home.
Rough night last night. My arms are so sore again and my neck is acting up again too. I'm going to call today and see if my specialist has a cancelation that is earlier than June 18th. Old age, bah humbug. hehehe
Karen and I are going out for supper tonight. To a restaurant just down the road. She is hungry for spaghetti and likes theirs. I won't eat any other than mine. I'm that fussy. The food isn't that great in my opinion either. But I'm sure I'll find something. Maybe a breakfast will do.
I am in need of milk and a couple other things so a quick run to the store, shower and do some dusting. That is all that is on my to do list. I got the floors all spit and polished yesterday so my arms need the break as well as the rest of me.

Good Morning Ladies - - - It's chilly again - - I was chilly during the night, but didn't want to get up and find another blanket, so folded the other side of the spread over me until I warmed up. I guess I took the extra blanket off too soon! I have a hair cut for today - it seems like my hair isn't growing as fast anymore - the last few times when it's time to go, I haven't really needed it yet. Maybe I won't make another appointment, and just wait and call when I need to go. Part of the problem I know is that I just don't want to go and have to deal with the sidewalk going in - they put new ones in a year or two ago, and have them on a slant so the water will run off, but makes them very difficult to walk on, for people like me with balance problems. It rained off and on yesterday afternoon. There is just no end to it now that it got started again. I suppose once it stops, it will just be done for the summer now too. It would feel good to turn the heat back on again, but I just hate to keep doing that. CJ, hope they solve the problem for your mom's car soon. IC, thinking of you today as you remember special moments that you shared with Earl. Carolyn, nice that you are able to go and spend those good times with your cousin and find some fun things to do and places to go. Times change, so go and enjoy while you can.

Hello, it's been a busy better part of a week, but like a bad penny, here I am.
Sage took his parents and went home yesterday about 1:00, so Ann and I-she's at her cabin for a while-went to town as she wanted to see the art displays that #1 is a part of. We ran into an aunt while there and she looked up a friend who is a minister in town, then a quick stop for a few things she needed and we came back past the Amish greenhouse and bakery. I ordered 60# of cukes for pickles. He said they've already had people put their orders in and are happy that I'd take mine during the week vs. just a Saturday. Also, it'll be divided into three pickups, I have no desire to do more than 30# at a time, 20# would even be better. I'll do some bread and butter ones too, those will be bigger slicers though. Do any of you have a mandolin that you use? I had one, gave it to my niece, now I could use it.
It is certainly quiet in here after everyone left. In fact, the Yeti went out on the lake last night and I stayed here. We got ready for the naming ceremony on Saturday and went to that on Sunday. It was a very small by invite only gathering, 15 counting Sage. Ann and I were laughing that we have turned into the "church basement ladies" in regards to serving at things. We've done confirmations, graduations, anniversaries, funerals, a wedding reception in an activity center, a 100th birthday party, a walking taco and ice cream graduation party, and now a naming ceremony in a drum lodge. I do believe the bases have been covered. Monday was the Memorial Day service with two stops at cemeteries. The Yeti and I went to MIL/FIL's and got things finished up there, I kind of was "on duty" in the kitchen and stuff there too. She had everyone take their left overs home and we sent a big goodie package with one of the cousins, he's happy to get them. It was cold and rainy too, Mother Nature's gift each Memorial Day. I have an Art Event to go to after lunch, then tomorrow is a burial and lunch for the Yeti's uncle, Friday is a funeral for his mom's cousin that I am not going to. I had met him once and the Yeti is taking his parents and an aunt and it would be a very full car, so Ann and I are going to the farm instead. Saturday is a funeral for his cousin's husband. My plans to go to graduation went away, but I do need to get cards in the mail, they'll be late, but I usually am, no surprise there.
#2 will be here around the 4th of July, they'll be traveling back to NYC. It'll be good to have them here, #1's family will be in Vermont, so we'll get #2/GF all to ourselves. He has a few things he wants to do around here too. He has stuff in his closet here and other things in his room which is totally fine. The Yeti is outside working on a trailer to put my raised bed pots on, I should go help, but I am going to finish my coffee first. He's back in now, coffee is almost over and I'll leave about 1:30 to go to the Art thing.

It's just plain cold and it was yesterday too. Well yesterday afternoon it did warm up and I spent time reading on the back deck. The sun felt good. Today the house is cold so I ran my little heater in the family room for a while. It's coffee day!! I should get started cleaning but I think that will wait until tomorrow or Friday. Memorial day was good here and I think most of the leftovers are gone now.
CJ Good luck with the garden. It's a lot of work and Mother Nature just seems to destroy it. I hope the beans and other planted seeds will not have to be redone.
ICOOK Happy Anniversary to you! A bittersweet day I'm sure. Treasure the memories of those special days and moments you had with Earl. Hugs to you.
CAROLYN I get the feeling you're an Elvis fan. I know we're the same age and he was a real "idol" to us back then. My sister actually saw him in person in 1958.
MAMMA I hope the food at the restaurant will be more satisfying to you this time. At least you can enjoy being with your friend and not eating alone. Pamper your shoulders and arms today.
GREENBACK I know, cold weather, right? I thought I was done with my winter clothes but not yet. I had to go to my "winter" closet and get some long sleeve tops and warmer clothes! I wonder how soon I'll be complaining about the heat. LOL I hope you can stay warm without turning the heat on.

Goodmorning grannies It's good to be back in the 'hood! I feel like I have climbed out of a dep dark hole!! Ten days without internet is just too long! A call to the provider said the [problem was inside the house and someone would be here Tuesday to check it out. The person neglected to say which Tuesday! In the meantime chef along with his computer super knowledgeable friend checked out every thing inside the house and friend said seems to to be ok in here! We waited till yesterday for the repairman to show up when he finally got here it only took him minutes to say the problem was not here but back at the center it was then fixed within minutes!! It was never a problem here but we had 10 days without internet. I guess we could all complain, yell and scream an call them nasty names but what good would it do? The person responsible for the goof wouldn't be the one getting all the abuse. Now we can work and enjoy the computers again and be happy they work! I missed all of you !!!!
I did read most of the posts so I've caught up with the news that you shared.I guess the baby goats are the latest news here. Another set of twins born Friday night resulted in mamma rejecting both of them! One died as a result of something the Vet.called similar to diabetic coma. The other is a bottle fed baby and has bonded with Cassandra it follows her around like a puppy, too cute to watch it wag it's tail when it hears her.
We did have some nice warm, sunshine days so I could sit in the sun for awhile most days but it's chilly today I have the heater on and my sweat shirt and flannel pants! Soon it will be too hot for them.
Same old stuff here not much new when I think of something I'll be back
Love a hugs to all

Hello to all and a "welcome back" to Grammy OH! It's another beautiful day here. After my morning walk and putting a load of laundry on the line, I backed my car out of the garage and cleaned it out good inside, vacuuming the interior, wiping down the dash, consoles, etc., and windexed the windows. Now, it needs washed on the inside. Then, I was off to my chair yoga class and then met a gal to whom I sold a little bar sink and faucet I had advertised. Turns out she is opening a food truck featuring coffee and baked goods and is in the market for the baked goods part of it! So, we talked and will be getting together soon to discuss possible partnerships. I was thinking about looking for something part time and she is hoping to put her food truck in the local Mennonite store parking lot from 5 to 8 each morning and that store is only six miles from my house. Even if she changes location, she is interested in me doing the baked goods for it!
Today is DD#1's 44th birthday--how can that be when I am only 39??!! She was born early (due date was July 8) an has been delighting us ever since. Trinity has a dance recital at the Lake of the Ozarks on Friday so we will celebrate with her then.
I need to get busy now, been at the computer for a while as I got notices from two sources that my email and phone numbers had been found/compromised so I am trying to change passwords on everything. I find that such notices are happening with increasing frequency and I don't like it!
Wishing all a great day!
