Good Morning....
It's a cloudy then sunny morning so far. Can't decide what it wants to do. Could get a little rain sometime today. It's still on the cool side...so no sitting on the swing with coffee this morning.
We went to my mom's house this morning to take her car to a repair place in her town. DH took it and talked to the guy. He had taken it for a drive on Sunday and it didn't do a thing....but the check engine light was still on. So we'll wait to hear what they find.
Had a nice day with the DD and family yesterday. I grilled hamburgers for lunch after the parade. It was nice to have one on one time with them.
Nothing much planned for today. I'm hoping it will warm up some so I can sit outside this afternoon.
Have a great day...........

Good morning.
Yesterday afternoon I did go to the get together with Karen. It was nicely done. I even got a meal sent home with me and all the ladies got a red rose from the table decorations. Everyone got along so well and no click groups, everyone talked to everyone. Nice change from what it is in this park.
Last night I took Mandy down to the pet area for her to enjoy some time off leash. Then the park drunk let his dog in the other side and it proceeded to raise trouble. And the dirt flew. The man then called his dog back to his cart and left. He thought it was so funny to see the dirt fly. I DID NOT. Mandy is so covered with sand that you touch her and sand falls off. My first task of the day is give her a bath. My neck hurt too much last night for me to bathe her then.
One of my chair orders is said to be here this forenoon. Three texts telling me this and I still won't hold my breath. Will I get one set of two today or two sets of two or none? That is the question of the day.
Supper will be the meal sent from yesterday, minus the potato salad, cole slaw, and baked beans I got a bad gut ache from that combination. The chicken will be enough for supper or I can cook up a veggie to go with the chicken. I'll have something light for lunch.
Time now to catch Mandy and head to the tub.

Road runner is home. Got home in time for a visit from Elijah. I love him so much and when he comes in the door grinning it makes my day. Had a good weekend. We went to Church, out to eat both days and shopped yesterday. My pumpkin bread went over good. Delicious. I came home this morning. Hope all of you are well. Had some bad storms Sunday night. My DH was in the Navy for 20 years. He was aboard 5 different aircraft carriers. Spent a lot of time on the coast of Vietnam and was on land temporarily to work on helicopters. I lost a DGSon in 2012 the same year DH passed. He had 6 years till retirement and was in a training accident in Eloy, Arizona. He is in Arlington. 33 years old. DH didn't want to be interred there even though he (we) could be. Mamma that is terrible that person got dirt on your Mandy Be back later ☕️ time.

Hello Ladies! It was coffee day today and we went out today and will again next week, as the gal to have it is/will be unavailable both days. It's still only 59 and is past noon now - it was raining a little not long ago. Other than meeting with the gals, not much happening here today. When I checked FB, I saw the post for the state soccer match that Jen's DN is playing in, so I stopped to check the score, and tuned in at the right time, to watch her do a penalty kick for a score - they were ahead 2-0, but the other team scored after that - I will check back to see how it's going and should be over soon. I don't know much about soccer - didn't have it when either I or my kids were in school. CJ, hope your mom's car isn't a serious problem. Sure isn't swing weather here either. Mamma, glad the gathering was a nice time, and how thoughtful of them to send you home with a doggie bag. Carolyn, what a nice weekend you had. SO very sad about your DG. Such a tragic time for your family. Sure miss Grammy and Just me. Our group just keeps getting smaller an smaller - - Hope they will both be back soon.

Good afternoon to all. It is a beauty of a day here in central MO. A nice gentle breeze, the temp is 76 degrees, there is no humidity and the sun is shining. I had my morning walk, did two loads of laundry, one went on the line and dried quickly so it has already been brought in, folded and put away. I have watered all my flowers, pulled weeds in the flower bed, and I pulled corn in the garden--where two plants have come up from the seed we planted, I pulled the extra ones so we only have one plant. That was some good exercise for sure! We scattered the corn plants I pulled over the hay field yet to be cut. Mike just bought a hay bine and was trying it out for the first time when, of course, it broke something. So, he has been working on that and now that we have had lunch, he's reading the book on the old machine and talking to the farm equipment dealer about the part he needs.
Amelia has a ball game tonight in Wardsville and Trinity has one in Vienna, so we will divide and conquer. Mike is going to Trinity's game and I am going to Amelia's. I need to stop for a few things before the game so I will leave early so I don't have to go into town twice today.
CJ, I hope you get some swing time in this afternoon.
Mama, did you get any chairs today?
Carolyn, I bet Elijah was glad to see you, too!
Jane, did Jen's niece's team win the soccer match? I don't know a thing about soccer either--and unless one of the grandkids takes up the sport, I probably never will. Hope your coffee/breakfast out was good. I am sorting recipes to file and I have come across lots of delicious sounding breakfast recipes that will take me a year or more to try all of them. Breakfast for us is usually cereal, fruit, and good toast. By good toast, I mean I like hearty wheat bread or even quick bread toasted. This morning it was grapenuts for me, with blueberries, and about half of one of the leftover cinnamon rolls that the boys didn't eat this weekend. Mike finished up a carton of yogurt with some of my homemade granola and had the other half of the cinnamon roll.
Time to find something to do here. Since I've got all the outside things I can do done, I will likely sort more recipes. I had a big thick folder that I took with us each work season to our home away from home and I am going through that and transferring them to the big recipe file system I have. I much prefer a "hard copy" recipe to one on the computer, though I have used one on the computer in a pinch.
Wishing all a great rest of your day!

I am beyond mad, I am totally t-oed. Fedex changed the address again and sent the order back to the shipper. I called and talked to another supervisor and read her the riot act. She won't be sleeping tonight. I have another package coming on Thursday, chairs from the furniture company, and I told her they had better get to me at my address and I had her repeat it three times, or the next call will be a lawyer. When I told her it is against the law to change the shippers address to the receiver she shut up quickly. I will bad mouth FedEX until hell freezes over.
