Good Morning....
Baby It's Cold Outside. 3* with a windchill below zero...and the wind is sure blowing.
We stayed home from church....from watching online church there aren't many people there today.
Not much going to happen here today unless I think of something...LOL Never got to the movie yesterday, so that might happen today. And there is always coming up with a meal plan.
I'll leave the coffee pot on the counter. I still have an assortment of Christmas cookies, too. Help yourself.
Have a great day...stay warm..........

Where is everyone today? Are you curled up under the covers? The sun is shining here which makes it really bright out there.
DH cleared the driveway again. There was a lot of drifting snow. The birds don't seem to mind the cold...they are all around the bird feeder.
I'll be going along with DH to see his mom today. It's always very warm in her apartment.

Good morning grannes, it's cold out there! The temp was 3* this morning with the feelike temp -17!That's not a good time for a grannie to be out. I didn't go to church sometimes you just have to decide if it's faithful or foolish to be out when it isn't necessary so this morning I voted for foolish for me to go out! It might be cold but there's sunshine! I feel better now that my batteries are recharging!
Nothing on my list to be done today just read and continue to rest my arm. It feels much better today. Getting a shower and dressed is a major job!! I'm exhausted when that is done. Must be rest time

Good Morning Ladies - - - Yes, it's cold and snowy here too this morning. I heard my neighbor shoveling the walk this morning, so not sure if there was new snow over night, or it was just blowing around the stuff we already had, which I think is the most likely to have happened. The sun is shining, so looks nicer that the -7 that it is up to now, and not sure what with the wind chill, but I have no plans to go out and find out!!! I just saw a picture that DS posted of their driveway - - it's pretty much a tunnel, and I am wondering if he got something bigger in to clear it than his push snow blower. Yesterday she sent me a picture of his truck stuck in the driveway. I see Mamma is on another thread, so maybe someone can mover her over here to join us. I have a load of towels in the dryer that need to be folded and I still have the burger in the frig to do something with. By now, tater tot casserole is sounding kind of good, so will see what happens to it. CJ, nice that you go along to visit DMIL. I'm sure she is happy to see you too. Your cookies are good, as I didn't make any this year. Grammy, wise choice to stay in - we just need to take all of the care we can. I'm sure they will bring your meal to you, if you don't want to make the climb up the steps. Mamma, steak, well now that sounds good. Something that I don't often have. It's so expensive when you go out, and even across the meat case. I like it, but I like lots of other things just as well. Hope everyone is taking extra care in this extended bad weather - it seems to be effecting everyone in one way or another.

Good afternoon from sunny Ohio. Baby it's cold outside. It was 1* when I got up this morning and when I can home from church it was 3*. But the air is dangerously cold. I sure appreciate those who have to work in this and are so faithful and helpful to keep us safe. We had men available to park our cars for us so we could drive under the canopy, get out and go inside without walking on nasty parking lot and freezing while doing it. I truly appreciated that!! Lunch was mashed potatoes, gravy, meatloaf, green beans, and broccoli salad. No dessert. Now it's surfing the net for a while then probably a nap. Or maybe I'll nap first.
CJ I hope you and your DH have a good visit with your DMIL. I also have cookies left but they're in the freezer.
GRAMMY I think you chose the wisest thing when you chose to stay home! Better safe than sorry and you don't need any other boo-boo's.
GREENBACK Your description of the weather reminds me of the blizzard of 1978 we had. Memories make it seem like fun but when we actually experienced it, it was serious. Does Dawson like playing in the snow?
ICOOK This is my do-nothing day. Unless you call napping work. LOL Relax and take some breaks when you need them.

Good afternoon to all!
I did venture out this morning to church. It is about 15 miles away and definitely in another weather zone. I'll remember that from now on. I prayed for a church that would make me comfortable going to and that the services were great. God answered my prayers.
I'm making stuffed pepper soup. I've got 2 recipes for kind of combined both of them. I'll let it cook and then reheat for supper. I think it is so much better reheated. I'm also going to make a blueberry pie. Only have one crust so the top will have to be a streusel topping. I'll do that later.
I might go and catch a nap because seemed like every two hours last night I was awake.
That's about it for here.
Everyone stay safe out there!

Hello from the deep freeze, it is -9* and feels like -28*, brrrr! The cold has definitely kicked in. And, my cold is at its peak, hopefully it is on its way out too. I slept in today, I've taken Day-Q and Ny-Quil since I got back on Friday, seems to be helping. There were seven extra people here yesterday, I did not cook or anything. I did tell them where the pop was and some juice pouches. When the 4th kiddo got dropped off, she brought the kids snacks, so I didn't have to do that either. All I had to do was move some of their trash to recycling. The Yeti then went to IL's for supper, I did not go, simply said no. I'm over 1/2 way done with the afghan I am making, so I'll work on that for a bit and may accidentally fall asleep while doing it. I'll BBL, stay warm!

Good afternoon, It is 31 here and I feel for all of you that are so so cold. I have done a load of clothes and that is it. I am still fighting this cough and I think it is winning. Wanted to go to the walk in clinic but they had no openings. Hope all of you stay safe in the icebox Weather.🚗

Just Me, that soup is going to be so good, but I will have to pass on the BB pie. That's one fruit I don't especially care for - I can eat it in small doses but pie would be over the top for me. Carolyn, hope you get to feeling better soon. Ellie, Dawson does like to go out and play in the snow, but I'm sure they won't let him out in this cold to do so, but Jen did send me pictures earlier this week when he was out with his little shovel and Josey and him were on the deck - I don't think he made any headway with his shovel, just moving it around. Laurie, hope you are having a restful day and how wise of you to not go and spread your germs to the rest last night, besides not feeling up to going and probably eating. The tater toe casserole is done so now all I have to do is warm it up when I want some. I can either have that or leftover pizza tonight - I will see what sounds good at the time. At least there were good basketball games the past two night - big wins for the Hawkeye's! Yah! Now I had better go unload the dishwasher and fold the towels in the dryer!
