Good Snowy Morning....
Had quite a blizzard yesterday afternoon through the night. DH is out with the snow blower clearing the driveway and sidewalk. The wind is still whipping though. We probably have 7 inches or so. Here's a couple pics I took last night. It really looked pretty.
We will be in the deep freeze starting tonight for a few days.
Not much happening yet, but I do have laundry and vacuuming to do. Have a great day.........

Good morning. No snow here but it's not warm either. Y'all can keep the snow, it's only pretty in pictures for me anymore. And I do like seeing your pictures CJ. Be safe out there everyone.
This morning I crawled out of my nice warm bed at 7, enjoyed a full cup of coffee before braving the cold outdoors. Mandy did her thing and home we went where it is warm. And my second cup of coffee is almost done.
After I make the beds I'll shake out rugs, wash some and try and find a spot to store them. I've been tripping on the rugs and that is a sign that I either need to walk more carefully or put the rugs away. I don't like the cold floors and Mandy has trouble with her footing on the slippery floors. I'm torn. Once the rugs are up and in the washer I and Annie will tackle the floors.
Yesterday after lunch I called the nail salon for an appointment. And it surprised me that I got in right away. They weren't all that busy the whole time I was there either. It won't stay that way long, more and more snowbirds are coming in every day.
Our park is filling quickly. And the new ones I've had the displeasure of meeting could go back home. How rude. I always have a smile and nice greeting, but some of them will not get another. Thankfully I stay home for the most part. I don't need their attitude.
I'm thinking chili for supper or lunch today. If I am busy with cleaning lunch may just be a thought and supper will be early again. Last night I ate supper at 4:30...pork steak and squash with brown sugar and butter. Oh it was soooo good. Now that my freezer is full I'll try and eat better and also use up the food so I can start baking cookies for summer. LOL
Stay safe everyone.

Good Morning Ladies - - - well, it appears the storm is over and it actually looks pretty out there, just as long as you can stay put like me. The sun is shining, it's cold and the clean up begins. Interstate 80 is still blocked in places - not a road that I ever travel on often, but it always amazes me when interstates are blocked. It's 10 now and will be getting colder. I don't think I will plan on going to church tomorrow - I'm sure there will be snow in the lot, even though it will be cleared. Can never get it all. Debbie, I am so relieved that your northern trip was changed to head south. I know you would have enjoyed going along, but I also know you will be a big help to Mike and the boys, and I'm sure they will be helping Mike and working up a few hunger pains!!! Did you hear how the first leg of the trip to Tx. went and how far they got last night? CJ, the picture with the fence is especially pretty. I wish I could send a picture of my grill - it has such a mountain of snow on it that it almost reaches the snow that blew on the roof and it isn't even sitting under the roof. Glad you got the kids home before the worst of your storm. Mamma, you have a busy day planned. I slept better last night, but still tired - I'm actually thinking about an early nap. My sleepless nights caught up with me. Last night was a good BB game for the Hawkeye's. It's fun to watch when they play so well with each other. The girls play tonight if Ind. gets here. I'm not sure if it's on a channel that I get. I sure hope so. Hope everyone is safe and warm - so thankful that we didn't loose power.

Hi from snowy northern MN. It's cold out, very light snow, but starting to look like January around here. -4* feels like -22*. Rumor has it that the Yeti's niece/hubby and BIL and kids are going to come over to go sledding and ice fishing. I will not be participating in any of that. #1 is still here for a while and is going to be going back to his house sooner than later. His MIL is over and they are painting the micro person's room and I know he wants to get home.
Long story short-Al took a spill, wound up in the hospital. After exams, a pacemaker was determined needed, couldn't do that kind at his hospital, we were taken to a hospital three hours away where they put one in. Discharged a day later and three hours back. We were very fortunate to get him into the Good Samaritan Center that is 12 miles from home for rehab as he has limitations due to the surgery. The plan is to go home, need to see how things recoup, I'm sure he'll do his best to make that happen. This is where Dad was and I am so happy he is not in that area. There is a man in the room next door who he has known forever, I saw him in the hall and told him we had someone in there that he knew and he came right in and they started chatting, I felt much better about that. I did get home in time to take a shower and eat something before bed. I do not plan to wear any of those clothes for a while again. I did happen to have some extras in my car too, so that was good. After getting back, the cold that I decided I needed settled in my face, fun stuff, so I will stay away for a few days. My brother lives five miles away and my sister about five blocks, so they'll be in and out. Jim is going to call me from there so we can chat until they get his cell phone in to him. He said he doesn't know how to use it, so they'll go over it with him. The nurse in charge at in put and who is there today is great.
Debbie, I'm glad they went south, the storm would be terrifying. If they close the roads, they mean business.
Hi to all, the birthday was not the plan we had, but that's ok, him getting out was the best ever and knowing where he is right now is the best place is all I need. You can see the Kravitz ladies are enjoying the weather.

Lauriet...glad to hear Al is in a good place till he can go home. And having a friend right next door is a good thing too. What color will the baby's room be? It won't be long now. Love those doggies of yours. Always fun to see them.
The sun is out a bit and things look much brighter out there. Laundry is going and soon the vacuum will be too. I don't seem to have much motivation today. Nothing sounds fun to do..LOL I did go out and fill the bird feeders which they were very thankful for. Sure had a crowd out there. I threw some old bread out and they scooped all of that up fast. Even the squirrel was here at my window this morning. I might look and see what movies are on Prime that I might want to watch.
It's 27* and windy...a good day to stay inside...although DH has already suggested going to the brewery this afternoon...so I might venture out. We could walk if need be, but might be slippery on the sidewalks.

Goodmorning grannies, the cleaning person just left. We didn't do very much this morning. My arm is still very painful. The dark blood is still there but seems to be moving to other places such as under the upper arm this is prob caused by gravity since the arm is usually down. guess it will look and feel better sometime. soon I hope I hope
Greenback, like you I have made the decision to stay inside tomorrow. Just a dusting of snow but the temps is 22 and expected about 10 this time tomorrow. That's cold enough to keep me inside. No need for one my age to be out in that weather.
Pause... for lunch! Room service was my request today. I did get upstairs for supper last night but it was quite a chore since the railing and me right arm are what I need for stairs.
Laurie glad to hear that Al is doing better. I think we are the same age and I am very careful and try not to fall. So nice that he has a friend to chat with while there. Hope he can be back in his home soon.
Looks like most us are inside due to cold or snow time to stay safe and warm.

It's a good movie day here, here are a few suggestions:
The Father Brown Mysteries-has Mark Williams who was Mr. Weasley in Harry Potter. He is a priest in the Cotswolds in England after WW2. All of the silly mayhem and mysteries that can be solved in one episode. There are 11 seasons, can start at the beginning but they get a bit more light hearted as they go on.
The Sister Boniface Mysteries-a spin off of Father Brown. Take place about a decade later, a bit more humorous/slapstick type things. Murder in Provence, only three episodes, one of the actresses from Father Brown, I wish there were more.
I really like all of them, just a feel good kind of thing. I watch them on BritBox on Prime, but I think some of them are on PBS too.
Just found out we are to go to IL's for supper tonight, I don't plan to go. I feel yucky and tired, and mostly, don't want to.

Rugs shook, washed and drying, floors dust mopped and scrubbed, dusting is pretty much done too. I had a little lunch of toaster waffles and two strips of bacon. Just a quick break and see what else is on my to do list. Some of the rugs are on the lines and a couple in the dryer. Most should not go in the dryer so they will be on the lines most of the day. Slow dry time when it's not warm outside.
Jill wanted to go to Mexico this morning but I had my arms deep in the wash. She didn't go but we will go another time. Her client passed away last night so she is in between jobs once again. I wish she was not so anxiety ridden and could find a different line of work. But she can't handle being with the public or a lot of people. Guess that is why we get along so well. I feel so bad for her though. I didn't mind people too much when I was younger but am too set in my ways as I got older. And I knew I had to work or starve.
I'm still debating on whether or not to put the rugs back on the floor. The bathroom rug yes, but not sure of the others. I'm so afraid of tripping and falling.

Mamma, when I had my hip replaced and had to go to the NH until I could stay alone, they had to come and check my house and see if it was safe for me to come home, and the only thing I had to change was removing the rugs. I do have one under the chair that I sit on to dry myself after the shower and a bath matt to step onto getting out of the shower, but the other bathroom has no rugs. I do have them at each door to set shoes on but are not in the walk pathway. I have had a nice morning - before I could get to my nap, I had a phone call from a guy I worked with almost 20 years ago. We have stayed in touch and are good friends, although we don't often talk. We talked for 48 minutes catching up. Now I think I need a bit of something to eat - guess I will go see what I can find.

They have been announcing the closing of churches for tomorrow. I am sure none of the country one will have it, although it has been the town ones I have seen that are. Our church has cancelled Sunday School, but because our 8:30 service is live on the radio, it is never cancelled. I would expect the later service will be cancelled, but time will tell. I remember some years back, it was only the pastor there and he had recorded music since the organist couldn't make it in. Talked to Jen and she said Daren had been out working on the drive way but came in to warm up again and has his truck stuck in the drive way. She said on the road leading into there development that there were 2 cars stuck so can't get out anyway even if they get the driveway done.

It's about time I call it a day. The house is cleaned, rugs washed and dried, garbage out, and the porch swept again. I'm so glad that I don't have to do anymore than heat up the chili for supper. This grannie is pooped out. I've not worked this hard in one day in a long time. But it feels good to have everything all done for a change. It may not happen again in a very long time, if ever. Tomorrow I have a big load of whites to get done but that is all I"m doing. Oh, I also made some crab salad that I'll be eating on crackers, for lunch this week.
I do have a feeling that dishes will be going in the dishwasher tonight. After my shower tonight I'm not moving from the recliner until bedtime. Which is only a couple hours. LOL And now my butt is going to be reacquainted with my recliner so it will know who I am tonight. LOL
A pleasant evening to all.
