Thank you all so much for your advice and wisdom! I want to be just like all of you if I ever grow up—LOL. I am in the truck with Mike, Eli and Drew and we are headed to our house. DD, DSIL, and Trinity are heading out, but wisely rerouted and are going on a little jaunt to Frisco, TX, where there is a Barbie experience and a large mall as well as a spa. Trinity is all about skin care these days and i think DD is going to treat her to a facial. Supposed to be much warmer there until Sunday when they get in the deep freeze, too. Heading south gives them much better driving than going north! Trinity and DD really wanted me to still come along, but I just felt I needed to be home and thought they might enjoy some time just the three of them. And, the older I get, the more I like home or just going somewhere with Mike.

I am so happy to hear of the change in plans Debbie. I know this was a very special trip, and I'm glad there was a Barbie alternative for them. I was just so very worried with the plows being pulled off the roads and the tow ban's in place. I understand your wanting to be home too, but know it would have been fun to watch your little princess! Thanks for staying safe.

Debbie...glad you decided not to go to MN. And that your family found another place to have fun and not be in possible blizzard conditions.
We took the kids home about an hour early but still it took us a long time to get to their house and then back here again. The roads were terrible and we saw a couple cars in the ditch. Not a good time to be out. I had put supper in the crock pot this morning and was glad to have it ready when we got home from taking the kids home.
Penny wasn't too excited about the paper dolls when she couldn't make the clothes stay on...LOL So that didn't last long. Maybe when she's a little older she'll play with them.
