 Out and back home quickly. We just missed a shower of rain before we went out. Coffee, cookies, cinnamon rolls, doughnuts, and a variety of fruit waiting for y'all. Enjoy. |

There will be passing showers off and on for a bit, but we didn't get wet. It started to rain again just after we got in the house. 
Second cup of coffee is hitting the spot although it isn't as cold as they were predicting. Now, tomorrow will be a different story.
Church on line with my MN church since it's communion Sunday. And I won't miss communion. I can't even remember the last time there was communion in the Yuma church.

don't want me to go but I am ready. No
Place like home. And I do admit I miss the
baby Elijah. He is growing in leaps and bounds
and is 9 months old already.
The sun is shining so that is a good thing.

Good Morning...
It's been snowing since last night. Very fine and just barely covering the grass. It's 32*.
My squirrel was here for his peanuts this morning. He got about half before the blue jays took the rest. I swear they can hear when I put them out.
I'm making a small pot roast for supper. It's been in the freezer for quite some time and now is the time to fix it. Need to go to the grocery store for some carrots.
The Detroit Lions play this afternoon...so I'll be watching that. Then tomorrow evening is the Michigan game for the National Championship. I'll be watching that too.
Not much else happening here. Have a great day..........

A busy day for me Tree is down Have to pack everything away now A little dusting to finish. Load of laundry going. Might make a pot of soup today That will hit the spot this week. Another storm on Tuesday All rain 1 to 3 inches.
CJ Snowing lightly here Don't know how much snow we got yesterday

Good Morning Dear Friends - - - It's 28 and another dreary, cloudy day - - Nothing happening here yet, and I think we are good for another 24 hours, but come tomorrow afternoon, into Tue. we will be getting snow. I wanted to get to church today, since to lot would be clear and who knows what will it will be like for the rest of the winter - - so far, it seems like the snows we have had have been on Sundays even though it's not been very much at a time. It doesn't take much to create that little speck to slip and slide on, and I know I am being more careful all the time. I may be home a lot, once it starts.
Mamma, the first Sun. of hte month, is treats at church - I didn't want to stand and have my treat, since I didn't know how long my legs would hold up, so took a donut with me as I left and then skipped my stop at KS. So I have had my breakfast before I came here, even though I am still sipping on that second cup of coffee. It was so sweet of you to lay out that spread for us though. Stay dry.
Carolyn, enjoy this week before you head home again. ELi will be waiting for you and I bet he has missed you too!
CJ, Bet it's fun watching the squirrel and Blue Jays fight it out for your peanuts. Your roast will be good tonight. I made some broccoli and cheese soup last night and will have that again tonight. I should have had the chopped rather than the flowerettes, but it all worked out in the end.
IC, even though I miss my decorations when it's time to put them away, it's always good to have that job done and over and things back to normal. I think I could look at Christmas things year round if people wouldn't think I was nut's for having it out.

And I have snow too, less than an inch, the temp is 35* and they're predicting rain for us in the next few days. I'm great without the snow. LOL Although, my vehicle needs a good washing but not in this weather. It was church this a.m. We had several visitors. Now it's football and a nap. Tomorrow is game day, Tuesday Bible study, Wednesday coffee at the Cabin then cleaning etc. That's my "so far" coming week, what's yours?
MAMMA Is it too late for me to have a cinnamon roll? It sounds good!
CAROLYN Sunshine? send it my way. LOL I bet you'll see a lot of changes in Elijah.
CJ I'll possible be watching the Lions game too. I'll miss football when it over but have started watching college basketball now.
ICOOK Soup sounds good but I'm too lazy to make it. Cream of broccoli sounds good to me. What kind are you making? It's nice to have the decorations put away.
GREENBACK I would be careful walking too. I know I don't want to fall. And it happens so quickly. I'm glad you chose to be safe.
Time to think about the "shut eye." LOL

Just another lazy afternoon with the temp at 34 we get a little of the rain/snow mix but nothing to stick around. Have you noticed the few more minutes of daylight! It will soon bec daylight when this early bird gets up.
Mamma glad you were able to get out and back dodging the showers! Enjoy the church service with Mn friends
CJ pot roast cooking will fill the house with wonderful smell on this dark and dreary afternoon.
Carolyn the baby will have grown and changed so much in the short time you have been gone! You will soon be smooching on his rosy cheeks
IC this is a good day to make soup! Any day is a good soup soup day for me!
Greenback It's your house if you like the Christmas decorations out then leave something out to be enjoyed. Why do we worry so much about what others might think! If anyone comments just say "because I like it" My dm had small white, ceramic tree that stayed out. I have a thing on red felt made in the shape of a tree that I leave in it's place.It's made from from old pcs of jewelry by dgd #1. I like it. Enjoy whatever we can!
I think I'll see what Kindle has for me to read now

The rain finally stopped about half an hour ago and now the wind is raging. The temp is 58 but it feels like 38 with the horrible wind. I'll need to put a brick on Mandy so she doesn't fly away. We will be going under the solar to hide from the wind today, to do her thing. I'm not standing out in the wind for no one. I'm pretty sure we will take the cart tonight instead of walking. The quicker I can get back in the house where it's warm the better. 
Church with MN was great but for some reason there was no communion. Must have been mixed up with the holidays. The music and message was way better than my Yuma church this morning. I usually do both, but today I lost interest in the yuma church. 
I've not done anything but eat lunch. Maybe this afternoon I can get something done, INSIDE. There is always something to do if I want to do it.
Elle, I always have enough cinnamon rolls.
Grammy, you made me hungry for a beef roast so I took one out of the freezer for supper tomorrow. Thanks.

Just got done with my lunch I've been busy Didn't get everything done though. Did a load of laundry & swiffed some floors Changing my tablecloth. Almost all the Christmas stuff is packed away Didn't get to making the soup Don't feel like doing it now.
Elle I was going to make a pot of Pasta Fagioli
Grammy I like soup in the winter with the cold days Earl would eat soup every day I don't like hot soup when it's hot outside.
Jane I didn't want to take my tree down I so enjoyed it

Not much of interest happening here today - I've had nap and a call from Texas from one of the HS friends and talked to DD. Had to get Ole yeller, by big old ugly fleece top on as I seem to be chilly, but sure it is just because I am not moving around and doing anything.
