Good Morning....
It looks like it could snow this morning, but I don't think it will. Just cold and gray.
The kids had so much fun playing under the kitchen table yesterday. They were climbing in and out of the chairs through the rungs saying they were stuck and laughing. That kept them entertained for quite some time.
Got my new glasses and I think they will work out just fine with the progressive lenses.
Today is laundry day and vacuuming and swiffering the floors. The bath tub needs a thorough cleaning too.
We will be going to see DMIL today and then a stop at Walmart for a couple things. And I need to start using the treadmill as all those holiday treats are catching up with me.

Good morning
Cold again but not as cold as it will be for the next few morning. We will be looking at the mid to upper 30's for lows in the coming days. No wonder my back etc hurts.
Mandy, bless her heart, was quick again this morning. My first cup of coffee went down like air into my lungs first thing this mornin, now my second cup is warming me up after our trip outside.
There is a load of dark clothes in the washer already. I have an Amazon return to make today, wash the car, and sweep the porch. There is more to do today, but if it doesn't get done it really doesn't matter. It will always wait.
CJ, playing under the table is a lot of fun for the kiddos. I remember that game when I was little as well as Lincoln and Patrick. Now snow here, but it sure is cold. Stay warm and safe my friend.
Yesterday Jill asked if we could go for a tootle around the park. She had a bad day and needed the ride and time with me to make her laugh. It's so nice to be needed and to make someone happy. She is always asking if she can do anything for me and I really haven't needed anything. But I really do need to think of something, that would make her feel so good too. Everyone needs to feel needed. |

Good Morning Ladies - - - It's 28 and cloudy - AGAIN! The sun did come out for a bit yesterday, but it sure didn't last long.. I had a busy day yesterday - did a load of laundry, then the sheets after that, and had to pick up a couple of scrips and a grocery order and then take the heart monitor back to the clinic. My legs just weren't working good yesterday, and when I came home from the store, I put the frozen things in hte freezer, then needed to sit a spell. I was just on my way to the car again when my cleaning couple came and they brought in the rest of the things. I had left my car on the driveway so had farther to walk with the stuff as I didn't want them to block my car in and not be able to get it out. I should have just pulled in and then backed it out again when I have the stuff in the house.
Today I have no plans - other than my shower, which I have put off until the coffee is done. After that, it will be, what it will be. The girls played their game last night, but I will have to see if there is a boys one today. I didn't sleep very good again, but I will try not to nap.
Hope you find your MIL good and happy today - I don't think we are to get snow until Monday. Fun to watch the kids enjoying themselves with something so simple.
Mamma, nice to know that you are giving Jill some enjoyment and that she enjoys your company. We don't always need to pay back tick for tack, some day you will need her help just as much as she does yours right now... MY car needs washing so bad! Had to drive on some gravel last week when I went to BIL's party, but it was already dirty before that.

Good morning for 10 more minutes. It's cloudy and sunless, cold too. I think the most snow they predict we'll get is around an inch. So it shouldn't be a major problem. It is winter...The days are getting longer by a few minutes! I have the first load of laundry in the washer and 2 to go. I need to clean the kitchen too. The kids came last night and DSIL flipped my mattress and changed the water filter for me. He's a keeper. They brought supper and we played a game before they left.
CJ Kids don't need things, they enjoy the tables, old cardboard boxes and many of the things already in the house. And they sure do have an imagination. Aren't they the greatest!!!
MAMMA Mandy was a good girl again today. I bet she dislikes the cold too. A second cup of coffee is great on a cold day. We all want to feel needed and you're helping Jill with that, and she'll be happy to help you too. Enjoy your day and give the arms a break.
GREENBACK I know some don't like sports, but I'm one that does, not all of them but especially basketball and football. It helps to pass time for me as I imagine it does you too. And oh, can't we get involved. I have a friend who loves the TN college football team and she says she "was/is coaching" from her recliner. LOL I can relate to that, they just don't listen to me. I hope you find a good game to watch today.

Goodmorning grannies. it's a snowy day, temp is 32 and it's light only about 1/2 inch so it will soon be gone and that's ok. Looks pretty while it's coming down but won't be here long enough to be a problem.
CJ what fun for the kids had playing under the table.They seem to like anything they can get under or into such as big box. I always thought they liked the box better than what came in it . Those Christmas goodies are showing up on most of us and it does take some work to get rid of them. Glad the new glasses are keepers.
Mamma yes, we all like to feel needed and helpful it's so nice that you can spend some time with Jill she probably needs a friend.
Greenback hope all the news from the heart monitor is good news. Jan and Feb are the months we need the car wash more and more. DSIL got a carwash coupon for my car it's good for 2 months for as many times as you want to use it! Just put the sticker on and the reader sends you on your way!
The ouchy place on my arm feels better but this morning I noticed a huge bruise on that part of my arm and no idea how that happened! The meds I take make for easy bruising.
Kathy is here and it's time for me to do a little supervising

Oh no, I've caught the lazies. No ambition and no desire to do anything. At least the load of clothes got finished. It's too cold to wash the car and rain is predicted for tomorrow. Maybe I can at least wash the windshield, if I can find the ambition to do so.
CJ, I forgot to mention that I've never had anything but progressive lens. I did try the lined lens once and I couldn't keep my balance on stairs or sidewalks. After two days I went back to progressive. I like the varied areas for proper vision too. Almost like wearing trifocals.
Jane, you have really nice cleaning people. I hope that you can rest your legs today.
Elle, Mandy's feet get cold on the cold damp ground. Her sweatshirts do their job but I have no warm boots for her in the winter. hehehe I am so envious of your wonderful family. I'm not saying Lincoln is not a wonderful son, he works his tail off when he can be here. I guess I'm envious that your family is close to you.
Grammy, I agree the snow is so pretty when it's coming down, unless it's a blizzard. hehehe Then it's too hard to see.
This afternoon I'm going to the pet store with Jill. She wants to get Ember some healthy puppy treats. So I'll bet I'll be holding Ember while we are out and about. Gee, that is such a tough job. LOL I love it how Ember will bark at me until she hears my voice, then she comes running. Love those puppy kisses. Mandy doesn't even mind the puppy being a pest. She is pretty tolerant of the puppy, which really surprises me.
My so called lunch is done as are the dishes. Guess I'll go and clean the windshield on the car.

I slept in this morning. Must have needed the sleep I'm usually awake around 8 or 9. Grannies are busy today with cleaning & laundry I did some dusting Hope to do a load of laundry today or tomorrow. Going to start taking the tree down Snow is on the way. 3 to 6 inches I went down for my mail The chemicals maintenance put down for the snow was all over my slippers & the wheels on my walker. What a mess.
Elle It's daylight here till almost five in the afternoon I'll gladly take that.
Grammy I bruise easy. Don't know where they came from sometimes.
Mamma I have the lazies today too But have to start working on taking my tree down.

MAMMA My vehicle sure needs to be washed too but it started snowing about 2 hours ago and hasn't stopped. But it isn't sticking yet. I've already had enough of the white stuff. LOL Is Mandy a Cocker Spaniel? I know your son and family love and care for you. Distance makes the difference, and I am blessed. But that doesn't mean mine love me more than yours.
ICOOK I finally got the kitchen cleaned and now I'm waiting for the dryer so stop so I can fold the towels and put them away. Then I'll be done...it'll be almost supper time by then. I think I read that Elvis has a birthday coming up soon? I know you'll know when. LOL

It's snowing I'll be taking Tinker out soon & hope she's done for the night. I'll put one of her coats on to keep her warm & dry. Got my tree finished Have some things to pack away yet. I'll finish tomorrow if I don't get it done tonight. Didn't finish the dusting but I never get it done in one day. Swiffing floors tomorrow & Monday. Want to get everything done as my first surgery is Wednesday.
Elle ELVIS' birthday is Monday He would have been 88 years old.

ICOOK Does Tinker wear a sweater? Kayli never did, her fur was so thick and she never minded the cold or the snow. I knew you would know when Elvis' birthday was. LOL Rest well tonight.

Elle, Mandy is a mixed breed, of what we have no idea. She has thin hair of many textures, some wavy and some straight and wirey. Our last dog, Lola was an English cocker.
Here are a couple pics of Mandy......
I keep her hair short because when longer she does shed a tad, and it looks so odd and unruly with all the different textures etc.

She is adorable! and I love how you dress her. And her bed!! I just miss my Kayli so much and every day but ...... They're so much company even though they don't "talk" they still "speak." LOL Their eyes say a lot. Thanks for sharing the pictures.
