We are headed to Costco this morning. I have a list of things I need.

We had a nice dinner last night.
My DGD, his 2 boys and his mom and dad,
his mom my oldest, it is a bit warmer but not a lot.
Frost this morning but sun is shining now.
I am going to cook a roast later with a lot of
veggies.
Kids are working and school is tomorrow for
the young ones.
Hope all of you are well.
I may take a short nap.

Sun is shining brightly this morning First time in quite a while, but it's the calm before the storm. Snow storm on the way for this weekend. Don't know how much yet. Have to watch the local news at noon to find out.

Good Morning Ladies - - - It's a dark and gloomy 32 here. Not looking like any sunshine today! I have a haircut for this afternoon, and that's about all. I do want to make another pan of baked oatmeal. I haven't had any now for awhile and I have a cup of French Vanilla coffee creamer to use up that I bought for a salad for Christmas and at the price of that stuff, I had better not just throw it out. I don't use it in my coffee, so it was rather sticker shock.
CJ have fun at Cosco. I'm sure there will be lots of things that want to jump right into your cart.
Carolyn, sounds like you are having a nice time down there. Enjoy every minute of the togetherness. IC, enjoy your sunshine. It seems to be a rare thing anymore.
Debbie your mini vacation sounds like so much fun for everyone. glad you could all get together and make it work out.

Goodmorning grannies, ahhhh, there's finally a little sunshine! Maybe enough my batteries. I feel so tired a washed out when there so many days without the sun. If my part of this house didn't face E I could get a charge that might last longer!
Debbie that sounds like a great winter vacation for your family and a good time with all of them together. Just some fun time and time to enjoy one another. I hope it all works out for you to get the same place again! I've enjoyed some fun times in Branson lots to do besides go the the shows!
CJ hope it's a successful shopping trip today.
Carolyn another good dinner! Holidays are good times with family and good food to enjoy!
IC we are in that snow area but not much predicted for us.
Greenback I haven't had the baked oatmeal for sometime. Maybe I should make some. That would be a good thing to bring down here. Sometimes I'd rather have something here and not go up to the kitchen
Nothing much on my '"to do" list for this day. Seems I do a lot one day then have to spend a couple of days resting and recuperating! Could I be getting old!! There's still a few Christmas things to put away I think I have found all the things I put away to make room for the Christmas things. I felt like I was on a scavenger hunt! I couldn't remember where I put some things.

Successful Costco trip. Checked everything off my list and then found a kitchen trash can I've been wanting to get for quite some time. It's the perfect fit and we can get rid of that ugly plastic rubbermaid one I've had for years and years. We should be stocked and good for quite a while now.
Icook...we could get a winter storm next week Tuesday. On Wednesday we drive our friends back to the airport...so I'm hoping it won't be bad driving.
Greenback...bet that creamer would taste really nice in the baked oatmeal. I use the creamer all the time in my coffee. Never could drink it black.
Carolyn...sounds like you are enjoying your visit in SC.
Grammy...I'm getting tired of this dull grayness around here.
After lunch I'll clean the bathroom and put the snowman shower curtain up. I got a new rug for in there too. I'm sure Penny will notice right away.

Good morning.
I just spent the last hour and a half in Urgent care. The pain this morning was worse. All she could do was prescribe a muscle relaxer. After I got home I see that the scrip is for Prednizone. I will not under any circumstances take that crap. If it is indeed a muscle problem, I'll just continue treating it the way I have been and it will go away just as quickly. What a waste of my time and money. No I didn't fill the script and will not, I just looked at the paper to see what she prescribed. I is actually called Methylprednisolone and it is not to be taken with my heart meds.
Not much will be done today other than sit on heat and ice. It's gloomy, chilly and not looking like the sun is trying very hard to make an appearance. Thankfully I have my cane so I can still take Mandy out without much trouble. Jill is home today to help if I need any. But I'm a very independent ole cuss. Now I'm going to sort clothes and at least get a load of whites done. I'm out of wundies.

DANG Just lost my post. The sun has disappeared. Watched the local news at noon on the storm coming. Only thing they said was that it's on it's way but no totals given Have to watch it tonight. Another storm on Tuesday, but that one is all rain & could be flooding.
CJ I have a Rubbermaid kitchen can. Like you I've had one for years Maybe I should look for a new one.
Mamma I hope you feel better soon. Awful for you being in so much pain.

Good afternoon/evening to all. A busy day. It is gloomy here, the sun has tried to shine a couple of times, but seems to have given up. I just got back from my walk which was chilly and I seem to be very out of shape as those blacktop hills are kicking my butt. The good thing is I did find my missing earbud. Mike got me a set of wireless earbuds so I can listen to my talk radio on my walks and, first time I used them, when I got back yesterday from my walk, I only had one in my ear! It was laying on the road and is cracked, but started charging when I put it back in the case just now. Fingers crossed!
Made a trip to town this morning to do several things. Went to a few banks to get CD rates, deposited some money in the one that had the best rate, went to DMIL's duplex and cleaned out her fridge and took down her outdoor Christmas decorations. Mike went to Walmart to get a brace for his sore knee, I got some groceries and we got home for a late lunch and I changed and went for my walk. Just finished snapping some fresh green beans and have those on cooking to go with our supper tonight. Supper will be leftovers from last night, stuffed pork chops wrapped in bacon, homemade mac and cheese, the green beans, and leftover German chocolate poke cake that I took to Branson.
Mama, hope you have some pain relief. I have taken Prednisone occasionally with my heart condition and meds.
Jane, I got some flavored creamers today for $2.99 each. These are the refrigerated liquid ones. They are a special this week at the grocery store where I shopped. It was both the Dunkin Donuts and the International Delight Brands. The store didn't have any sugar free varieties, but I figure the amount I use in my coffee won't be that bad (that's my story and I'm sticking to it). I got Caramel Macchiato, Pumpkin Munchkin and Chocolate Caramel. I used to always drink my coffee black, but I really enjoy a pinch of sweetener and a flavored creamer in my coffee these days. I drink that instead of the chocolate milk that I love and used to have each morning. My coffee concoctions that I make at home satisfy my cravings well enough that I don't splurge at the coffee shop much and are much cheaper than when I do indulge in buying one. I am finishing up a Coconut Creme creamer right now. That one is really good, too.
I hear Mike driving the side-by-side into the basement garage, so I need to go before he catches me sitting down--LOL. Wishing all a wonderful evening.

It was a cloudy, dreary day here too. And I don't remember the last time I saw the sunshine for any amount of time. I haven't really watched the weather, so I don't know if we'll be getting snow or not. Probably will be rain. It was coffee day so that passed my afternoon away. It was a very fine mist when I came home and I just took my garbage out and the driveway was just a little wet. Not much going on here, so not much to write. Tomorrow should be cleaning day for me. This week has gone fast.
MAMMA I hope you get feeling better soon.
CJ The snowman shower curtain sounds cute. I also think Penny will notice it and like it.
ICOOK Please don't send the snow my way. LOL Just be safe.
GREENBACK How's the fresh haircut? I usually like mine about a week after the cut. I've never had baked oatmeal. Maybe I should check it out.
