Good Morning....
It's colder and breezier this morning. I think we are in for a little more seasonal weather. There is talk of snow this month...LOL Well, it is January...so I hope so. Last winter there wasn't any snow till February.
DH & I are going shopping in a bit. Probably to Meijer and Hobby Lobby. I have a small list made out.
Last night when I went to bed I thought of two things I wanted to make sure to do today. I said them over and over in my head hoping I would remember. Well, I remembered one of the things and could not remember the other. All of a sudden while making my coffee it popped in my head. I know I should keep a pencil and paper next to my bed when I think of things to remember..LOL
All the Christmas stuff is put away for another year. I like getting my house back in order.
Not much exciting happening yet.....Have a great day.......

Good morning My new year started out with an email stating that my auto payment on my auto insurance would not go through. Nothing on my end has changed but I had to call first thing this morning to get things right again. Then I have a low tire widget pop up on the car so I called to get that and an oil change taken care of. AND, to top that, my pain is more than likely bursitis not from the bed itself. So I need to go in sometime for an x-ray or ct scan. They want to make sure that there is no infection. But my white count was a tad elevated last month so an infection is possible. This year is not starting out well.
Mandy was quick this morning. We took the car because I had the cart on the charger and too sore to deal with that first thing. But Car and cart are now where they belong.
This morning is the hot water heater flush. I want to see just how bad it got in a year. Then I will decide if it really needs to be done in a year or in a year and a half.
Cj, good that you remembered what you forgot. LOL Good luck shopping. Stay warm. It was 42º when Mandy and I went out at 7:15.

Good morning, I've got the house to myself, and a list as long as my arm to tackle. First, a visit here and some coffee. I went to my space and found some flannel, I want to make a small blanket to add to the baby gift. It won't be one of these gorgeous quilts that people make, just a plain old flannel tied baby blanket. Green frogs will be the print. I thought I had some other yellow prints, but just found solid yellow and couldn't pair it with anything I already had, so frogs it is. The Yeti had to go do blood work and then is off to take his Dad to his appt. He is truly running a Medi-van. He just told me his niece will be up next weekend from FL, she won't be staying here though, we will have other company. I lost Wednesday in the week, so there is a free day in there. I do need to send an email to the sub scheduler and better start on the tree today. The builder was to come back today, but hasn't reached out yet, so I'll take that as a no. So frustrated on many levels. The flooring in here is fulling apart in other areas too.

Still no sun here That is getting old I had a busy morning. Christina & my best friend Julie both came. I sent Christina home. Now she has a pinched nerve in one of her arms. That poor girl always has something to deal with.
CJ I write myself notes to remind me what I have to do all the time. Possibility of a snow storm coming this weekend As long as it's nice for Julie to take me for my eye surgery next week. My Christmas stuff will be up till the weekend. That will keep me busy

OMG, the water that came out of the hot water heater was like rust, but it was just the dirt from yuma water. I'm so glad I agreed to the flush and I will do this on a yearly basis. No way do I want to fork out another $1500 for a new hot water heater. Thank God I have a drinking water filtration system (RO) that has 5 filters.
I took 500mg of Naproxen and sat on the heating pad for half an hour. It did help with some of the pain. I'll keep up with the heating pad throughout the day too.
Grammy, I have to write fast or my hand shakes making my writing illegible.
Sticky notes all over around here and I have a white board on the fridge to double up on reminders. At our age our brains are so full we can't put anymore in it. That's my fantasy and I'm sticking to it. LOL

Hello Ladies - - - I lost internet late afternoon yesterday and thought it was something that I bumped or pulled out so was going to wait for my neighbor to bring the mail and have a look. I also called the telephone co. again this morning and the work order said he was to come between 8-5 today. Funny that was also the story for last Thur. and Fri., but I went to coffee and checked when I got home and it was fixed. For some strange reason, I checked the internet too, and here I am. I don't know what to think about that though, as it is 2 different companies and should not be related. I had a message from my dear friend that retired first and called her back, which I was planning to do anyway, just as soon as I had service and she is moving to an AL. I am so happy for her, as she lives in a tiny town that has gotten to have a lot of strange and questionable people living there now days. This still has quite a number of freedom but also one meal a day and limited other things. She can take her car, but I know she won't be happy about not having a garage to keep it in. She has lived in hte same house for 60 years, so has a lot of stuff to deal with. My nephew that almost died of the covid 2 years ago, wife has it now, so suppose he will get it too, but sure hope nothing like the other time. He also has the cancer. I'm just going to wave at everyone - its after 2 and I have some things to get done/

Good afternoon and a very happy new year to all! It is cool and partly sunny here. I just got back from my walk, waited until it was a warmer part of the day to take it and I was actually sweating in my hoodie when I got back. I am really out of shape; those blacktop road hills are a challenge!
We had a wonderful time in Branson. Didn't do any shows together, although #2 and family went to the Dixie Stampede (well, that's what it used to be called, now I think it is Dolly's Stampede). They really enjoyed that. #1 and #2 took the three girls to the big aquarium and reported they had a delightful time there. Josie told me she got to pet a shark! The condo was wonderful--six bedrooms and six bathrooms so everyone had a nice place to sleep. Two living/family areas, one complete with pool table and arcade games. Two decks, one with a hot tub and the kids really enjoyed that. I didn't try it out, I am leery of hot tubs because of my heart condition. DH was wishing he had brought his swim trunks as his knee has been bothering him a great deal and he thought that might have felt really good on his sore knee. I worried about how chilly it was and them coming in wet from both swimming and the hot tub, but it didn't bother them a bit. They loved the swimming options and that was their favorite activity, but they also enjoyed the miniature golf in the side yard. And, the boys loved the basketball court. If we do this again next year, I would like to rent the very same condo as it worked out so well for our group. Oh, and we cheered both the Missouri Tigers onto victory in the Cotton Bowl on Friday (apologies to GrammyOH and family) and the KC Chiefs on Sunday!
Today has been a day to recoup and regroup. I slept in until about 7:30 and have just been puttering all day. Several telephone calls to make regarding DMIL's affairs and two to make for me about my long-term care insurance (I will be getting a refund due to an error in their system--the representative said "good thing you brought that to our attention!?), and one for my dental, vision and health insurance--they sent something confirming cancellation of my policy effective 12-31!? Uh, no! Calls took up the better part of the morning along with laundry, cleaning filters on the dehumidifiers in the basement, straightening up, going through the mail, etc.
Got to get something figured out for supper, so had better attend to that. Looking forward to visiting with all of you in 2024!

Hi again, I've been busy, but still stuff to do, one load of laundry done and a load of whites almost done. Trees are down, stuff is in the basement-out of sight out of mine right now. The Yeti called regarding his colonoscopy-with this cold gunk he has, they agreed to postpone. So, he's still not home from his dad's appt, I'm going to finish the quilt soon and keep working on the afghan I started. I will need more yarn, wish I'd have overbought when it was on sale at Hobby Lobby-which appears to be the only place to get yarn in Bemidji now. I didn't go to Joann's, but I suppose they still have it. My sister, Barb, went to the farm and checked on Al. I didn't go as I'm sure I've got the same stuff as the Yeti. She loaded his fridge and did some stuff for him too, she's such a good person, I could learn a lot from her.
