Good morning
A chilly/cold 44º morning here. Mandy was happy to see Mary and her two. And when they were ready to leave so was she. So not much got done this morning. hehehehe Too cold for us to be out there too long today.
Not much on the agenda for today. But I really should clean the inside of the fridge pretty soon. And well the ever horrible dusting could be done. Dusting is the one time I'm happy I don't have a lot of flat spots to put things. But it would be nice to have some things out to enjoy. Not much for wall space here either. But it is a roof over my head and the extra room/craft room is nice and big. We have the largest Arizona room in the park. The other place we lived was large too. Places without an Arizona room are hard to sell since the park models are small.
My electric blanket is coming early. Amazon says Sunday but I doubt I will get it until Monday. If I can beat Chris from locking the packages Sunday night I will have it then. But he gets a text and then heads to the office to lock up the items. They will then delivery on Tuesday.  I'll be keeping a close eye on the delivered notice on Amazon tomorrow.
No plans what so ever for NYE, I'll just be happy to have 2023 leave and pray for a better 2024. I'm due for a good year.
Well it's time for another cup of coffee and two cookies.

Good Morning Ladies - - - I slept until 9, got up and had toast & coffee and as soon as I finish my coffee, I will head to the shower and get ready to head out to my BIL's birthday open house. It's a beautiful day for a road trip. Yesterday was some follow up paper work for the Thrivent action team from the fantasy. Otherwise, not much happening. I was disappointed last night that I couldn't watch the BB game.

Good Morning...
It's another dreary gray day. At least no rain.
Well, I'm at it again. Trying a new recipe for bread. This one is suppose to be so "easy". But I'm already finding it to be troublesome...LOL I just don't know. I guess I should just stick to my bread machine or doing it all by hand and not using the mixer. My main reason for the mixer was to make the bread making process easier for me, but so far it's proving not to be so. I'll see how this one comes out once it's done. Might need to do some tweaking to my liking if the bread is good.
I need to do laundry, get all the ham off the bone and freeze in meal size portions, freeze some chicken in portions and vacuum/swiffer. I would like to start putting some of the Christmas decor away. The tree will come down on Monday. Seems every year it takes me longer to put things away.
The kids were fun, as always. Penny wanted to play Barbie all day...so that's pretty much what we did. Although I can't talk for Ken what I want to say. She has to tell me everything I can say...LOL And I pouted a little because she won't let me be Barbie...LOL LOL LOL. It was cute hearing Teddy saying Penny's name. He's talking so good now.

Jane, how nice to sleep in. Safe travels and have a wonderful time at the party.
Happy now has a clean tank. I just wish it would last longer. But in the winter when the window blinds are open all day the tank turns green pretty quickly. All the walls have windows so no really good place for his tank to be. I do enjoy watching him so I leave him in the living room by my chair.
Cleaning the fridge is worse than dusting. The french doors make it a royal pain in the you know what. I can't get to the counters with both doors open and need both open to clean it well. But it is what it is. Too new to replace and too expensive too. Sitting here isn't getting it done so I had better get a move on. This afternoon I need to give Mandy a bath, she is so dirty from her running in the pet area yesterday. I tried brushing the sand out, but that can only do so much.

I'm not up to par again. Tummy is out of sorts. I've been in the bathroom a lot. I threw up my coffee & some juice that I drank. Have stew cooking in my crock pot. Hope I can eat it tonight. Won't be doing much today. Want to walk down & get the mail later.
CJ Cloudy here again but no rain. I hope your bread turns out OK
Mamma Chritina gave my fridge & oven a good cleaning. She is an angel.

I slept in until after 8:00 and it felt good. The sun is kind of in and out so far. The temp is 40* and I don't think it's going to get a lot warmer either. All my Christmas decorations are put away! Yay! I have one load of laundry done and another one to do. I'm making the Pretzel Strawberry dessert. I really like it. There's not a lot going on here today or for the weekend. DD #1 is home from visiting her DS and DD#3 is still in MS. They're expected to be home either late Monday or sometime Tuesday. I'm glad the kids can get away but this mom is so happy when they're safely home too. Once a mom, always a mom. LOL
MAMMA My frig needs cleaning too. I also have the French doors and I like them. But I probably have more room than you do. I hope your new electric blanket gets there tomorrow. Enjoy your fish!
GREENBACK Enjoy the birthday party, and the trip there and back. I'm glad you have good weather to travel in. How old is the birthday person?
CJ All of my leftovers are frozen in individual packages. It really makes it easier when I want something fast and easy. Isn't it exciting to hear Teddy and Penny advance in talking etc. every day. They're going up so fast.
ICOOK Oh no! I hope you'll feel better tonight. It sure is no fun to be sick. Be careful when you get the mail. That reminds me, I need to get mine too.

Good afternoon to all!
It's a raw cold day. Though the temps don't say so but the wind is blowing some to add to the mix. Oh, and I saw a snowflake. Scared me and I got the shovel out. Should I get the snowplow on the buggy? LOL.
IC, maybe going to the mailbox will make you feel a little better. I sit out on the porch and get some fresh air. I'm feeling much better just tired. I think that's my fault though because all I've been doing is sitting.
I've made a list of what to do to get this house to post Christmas ways. Isn't that terrible? I said that I'm lazy. The list looks like it could be done in an hour, but for some reason I don't work that way anymore.
Mamma, I had to chuckle when you talked about 'Happy'. I watch a boxer site. The lady is involved in Boxer rescues but has had other dogs too. Right now she has Olive and Bauer. Olive was in a bedroom today barking at Janielle, the fish! I guess she wanted her to come out and play. So funny! Olive is a hoot to watch and makes me chuckle. Bauer is the older 'brother' and acts so regal but has moments of fun too. Oh those two sure helped me when Luna (grandpuppy) passed over the rainbow bridge about 2 weeks ago. Okay, enough!
Jane, you were talking about showers. Sure wish we had a walk-in shower. I may have to talk SIL into putting one in while he is still here in the states. I love the bathtub but getting out is harder and harder and I will not call for help getting out. LOL.
CJ, ewwww, don't you just hate it when something doesn't work. I just start slapping stuff. So far, Ted has been safe but the mixer, counter, stove, fridge have all come under my wrath. Doesn't help the problem but makes me feel better. Just like, I made Mamma's cinnamon roll cookies for Christmas. Not sure what I did wrong, but the dough stayed too soft to roll. I finally gave up and the trash got some possibly good cookies. I'll try them again at some point.
Elle, shhh, don't tell anyone but I don't care for the pretzel salad. The rest of the family does so that is fine. Not sure why I don't care for it. Oh well, we all can't like the same thing, can we? I'll be making chicken and sauerkraut for NYD and I'm so excited for sauerkraut. YUM!
Okay, time to move. Check something off that list or read first. Reading it will be for right now.

JUSTME You can keep all the snowflakes. LOL It takes me a lot longer to get things done than it used to. But I also procrastinate. But who cares, I'm retire. LOL I'm so sorry to hear that the grand puppy passed to the rainbow bridge. I hope she see's my Kayli, Kayli would love her. BTW I still miss Kayli and it's been 8 months. And she's just a dog, right? WRONG! LOL The love the animals give is above what some human's give. Have a happy new year.

Another damp,sunless day for us. Should have some rain tomorrow.
The cleaning girl was here this morning so all the Christmas things are packed inboxes ready to be moved to the garage till next time. Some cleaning done but hopefully next time it can be done better. I went upstairs where I had lunch was ready to come back down here when dd asked me to brown the ground beef for chili ok I can do that. I keep forgetting to ask if anyone has a ground beef masher. It's the best little todl in the kitchen! Several weeks ago I saw them in WM so I brought one home. Someone else had the same idea and had ordered one from
Amazon and it had arrived the same day! They looked the same so the one went back to WM then other to the kitchen. I'm usually called upon to brown the ground beef and this little tool was worth every penny it cost. Sure makes the job easier,better and faster. What more could I want! This would make a great gift or a great tool in any kitchen.
Got to rest can't sit here any longer

Wanda, the same thing happened to me this year with the cookies. I put in the two cups of flour but forgot the other 1/2 cup. I could still roll the dough, although not as easily, but the cookies flattened out a bit much and still tasted good. You gave me a chuckle too, last night the fridge made a noise that I had never heard before and I gave it a good smack. Yep, it quieted down. Too new to have an attitude, but still needed an attitude adjustment.  Sorry to hear about Luna. (((HUGS)))
IC, I'm so sad to hear that you are feeling lousy again. Like Wanda said, maybe a big breath of fresh air? Or air out the house to get rid of some germies.
Elle, yep, I don't have room for french doors. The fridge is now all clean and I did a lot of cussing at the doors in the process. hehehe Happy looks much happier in his clean tank and I like seeing him in clean water too. I've never made that dessert but love it. I'm so afraid I would eat it all myself. 
CJ, hearing about playing Barbie, brought back good memories for me. Me thinks a new bread recipe may be in order.
Too much sitting lately has given me a major stitch in my left hip. Mandy and I had better walk to the pet area this afternoon. I've already had a nap and missed a show I was watching. LOL

Grammy, I know the tool you are talking about. Some of my friends love it too. I use a fork since I like smaller pieces of meat. But I think that tool would be easier on my arms and hands. Maybe I'll try one sometime.

Around 2 I took Mandy to do her duty. And of course there were so many distractions that I had to keep telling her what she was there to do. Grrrr, the little brat. Then we walked down to say hi to Jill and her dogs. The puppy took ahold of Mandy’s leash and lead her around. It was hilarious to see such a little dog taking a bigger dog for a walk. I didn’t have my phone or I would’ve taken a picture. Jill wanted to go for a ride so after Mandy had her treat I brought the golf cart over to Jill. She put the puppy in the “playpen” and she and Pookie went for a tootle around the park with me. She said she needed a break from the puppy as did her other dog Pookie. LOL The puppy isn’t still for a minute. She sure loves her Auntie Cindy too. She comes running as soon as she hears my voice. And of course I eat that right up.
We did hit 71º this afternoon and now it’s starting to cool off already. I’m thinking soup for supper. I hope I have some in the freezer or the cabinet. I don’t want much for supper because I want buttered popcorn tonight for a snack. I wanted popcorn last night but I made a nice supper and wasn’t hungry for anything in the evening.

Hi again - - I got home just at 6 . The church bells were ringing. I put the hamburger in the freezer and came on in. I am tired - missed out on a nap - - - There was a nice crowd at the party and a nice lunch. The BBQ, maid rites, or sloppy joe's, what ever you call yours were very good. I bought 10 more lbs. of hamburger from them, so will be good for awhile - I'm hungry for chili now.
Elle, the BD boy was 85 - - He has been struggling ever since he had the covid and was in the hospital and/or rehab place for a couple of months two years ago.
Grammy, I got a hamburger buster for Christmas last year and I like it. Very handy to use. Mamma, get yourself one, they are inexpensive - or I guess some are more, but even so, still not that expensive.
Forgot what else I wanted to comment on. I think I need to crawl under my blanket, as I seem to be chilled.
