Mandy and I have been out and back. The bed is stripped and the sheets are in the washer. When the sheets are dry I'll be heading out to the 99¢store and the $Tree, oh and the bank too. That's my morning in a nut shell. This afternoon I absolutely have to let Annie loose. I've put it off long enough. How did I get so lazy and lax in my house cleaning???
Last night I was looking around for a cotton electric blanket. I'm tired of cold feet and legs. Alas I found one, but I didn't know if I really should get it or not. So I prayed on it. This morning I looked at it again and it was marked down $20!! Is that a sign or what?? Yes, I ordered it this morning. It won't be here until Wednesday though. Maybe it will come sooner, that would be nice. It does happen.

Goodmorning grannies, another day just like the other ones! Where oh where is the sunshine?? A look ahead at the weather shows no sunshine till Tuesday!
Mamma I hope the cotton electric blanket is just the one you need to warm those cold feet.
IC having a pet does require some work. Keeping up with dog hair keeps you busy. There was a shower curtain here when I moved in but I was soon able to change it to doors for the walk in shower.
I did get a start on putting away the Christmas things don't know how much I will get done today. Nothing other than that on my "to do list" and the end of that list has the memo do only what you feel like! I thought that was at the end of all my lists.
If something exciting happens I'll br back

I cooked some lentils and some kale this morning. Hunting food that won't make my arthritis hurt, I went grocery shopping yesterday and didn't buy tomatoes or potatoes. They are supposed to make arthritis worse. They are nightshade vegetables. ?? My biggest problem is sweets. I am a sweet aholic, I slept on the day bed last night, it was comfy but i missed my bed. Hope all of you are well. BBL

Good Morning Ladies - - - The sun just popped out here, so I hope it stays that way all day. It's 30, so not warm, but certainly not bad for a winter day. Still no phone service - I never saw him yesterday, so called again last night, and the guy I talked to said the order said he was here but ran out of time and would be back today. I did talk to my neighbor and she said she saw the truck around 3:30. I guess we just wait and see what happens today. Had a couple of visitors yesterday when the couldn't get me on the phone. Finished the lasagna for supper last night. I need to start packing up the little Christmas decorations I do have out . Most fit in a tub, other than the hanging things and the Merry Christmas sign or words. I guess I can take the letters off the garage door also. Cindy, you have your day all planned out. Hope you find what you are looking for when you go out shopping and that the blanket will be just what you want. IC, You have lots of extra laundry today - I did my bedspread yesterday, otherwise it was the usual. Grammy, doors would be okay on a walk in shower, but I sure don't want them on a tub shower anymore. Of course, I couldn't get in and out of a tub shower these days anyway. We added the doors to our tub shower at the other house, and they were fine those days, but now I would need the curtain, so it could bend when I don't. Did you hear how the aprons were received - hope they were loved and made Kathy feel good. Guess I'm ready for that second cup of coffee and then I need to get busy - have a bunch of hand dishes to do and pick up and put away things!

Greenback the aprons were well received with all the appropriate comments to make Kathy feel good. Her apron is in the sewing room ready for her to put her name on it. She took her money to go Christmas shopping and gpt some great things for everyone. I got a box of suet blocks to feed the birds!
We had shower doors installed on the tub also. I was so happy to have the walk in shower here! I doubt that I would be able to get into the tub shower! I haven't had a bath in more than 30 years!!

Ok all bets are off. The floors are cleaned and scrubbed, rugs shook out, bed remade with clean sheets and the other is folded and put away.
The 99cent Store had the veggies and the raspberry tea that I like, so that was a win, the $tree had the tissues I wanted and also a heart to hang on my bathroom door. I wanted a purple heart but pink will do for now. It's early yet so I may still find a purple heart like I had at the other house or close to that one. I had to wait in line a bit at the bank but with two tellers working it was a short wait. When I got home Jill came over with some candy from Ember for taking being so fun to play with yesterday. LOL I even got the front seat cover on the cart....it came today.
Some of you took down the shower curtains and went with doors and I took down the doors and put up a curtain. My tub is rather deep so it's hard for me to get my right leg over it in such a narrow space that the door provided. Small area small door, way too narrow of an opening for me. When Mark was here I knew he would help me if I fell. A curtain is much safer for me. Since the surgery on my right leg/hip it doesn't bend or curl like it should, so some things I have to adapt to my needs. As we all have to do eventually.
IC, the shedding is why I keep Mandys coat cut short and could not have a shedding dog. My nose doesn't like the hair and I don't like it all over anymore. It's too hard for me to keep up with. I have enough trouble with the dust monsters. hehehe
Jane, I would not be real happy with being put off with having phone service. And I'm one that would not be quiet. Especially when their truck was seen at 3:30. My mouth has no filter anymore, I ran out of them years ago. LOL Do you have a cell phone??
Grammy, there are a few Christmas things to get put away here too. Maybe tomorrow it will get done. I just had to get to the floors. Slow and steady wins the race.
My to do list is now complete for the day. Well, having dirty dishes to do doesn't count, that is just a given. Right?

Hello, I thought I was here earlier, I guess not. I've been trying to get stuff done, but not too ambitious. The Yeti is still under the weather. I told him if he needed me to do the airport run tomorrow for him I can. I was up in my space for a while, put some things away, added to the trash, organized a bit. I do need to figure out some kind of table up there so I don't have to completely put away when done. I do need to do something with Dad's stuff that's up there too. I think I'll re-wash everything and go from there. Running out of left overs and I see that there's pizza dough on the counter, guess he's feeling better. The sun is shining and it's a clear and beautiful 36*. When I let the Kravitz ladies out this a.m. I don't know what was crunchier-the treat I gave them or the grass they were on. I'll take it though! Looks to be a 10 day forecast of the same-good, as I drive to #1's next weekend for a shower.

I see it's up to 38 now - - not bad for Dec. 29, but still feels damp. Talked to Jen and she said it was 60 in the house when she got up and called the repair service, but it's a new furnace needed and won't get it until next week. They weren't real surprised, as they were told the last time they had repair, that it would likely be happening. I haven't seen the repair man, but then I didn't see him yesterday either. Still no dial tone though! There is little I can do but wait my turn Mamma - The service is all done in the office and I never get to talk to a repair person. Ranting would solve nothing. I do have a cell phone, and I always try to carry it with me. The shower doors turned into a curtain here also, but the move solved that and I didn't have to remove them in the house - now I can't get in the tub with just a curtain either, have to shower in the other bathroom with an upright shower. Getting old isn't for sissy's! Grammy, glad the aprons were well received and sounds like she did a great job shopping. Laurie, sounds like you need one of those large lightweight folding tables. Bet you are looking forward to the shower.

We have a walk-in shower. I thought it wasn't to have a lip, but I was wrong. When Dad was here, we had a surround around the toilet, similar to a big heavy duty walker that was reversed on to the toilet. Worked well. I think it is at BIL's, I should get that back here while we know where it is. My brother had a heavy duty shower chair that SIL borrowed, we got it back and sent it back to my brother. The Yeti said he feels better than yesterday, the coughing is helping me practice my stomach crunches, ugh. He was to drive SIL and her kids to the airport (3hrs each way) but now BIL is driving them and FIL is going w/. I said I'd drive them so he wouldn't have to and they made other arrangements, so I'll go to town tomorrow and get dog food instead. I didn't know if that was too much for FIL to drive, I'm ok w/ not going though, as it is in the opposite direction from where we get dog food. Trying to figure out what to get for the shower, I looked on their registry, have some ideas. Found something at Target that I thought maybe they'd like better, but should just go w/ what they asked for.
