Yesterday we had quite a thunderstorm, thunder, wind and heavy heavy rain. Poor Mandy was shaking like a leaf from the volume of the noise. It really gets loud in a trailer. We had one break in the rain around 1:45 so I quickly ran Mandy down to go potty. I had to keep encouraging her so she would stay on task and get the job done. Hehehe
The damp air had me turning up the heat on the furnace. No sense in being so cold, I’m not broke. There is actually humidity in the house now too. And I had to bring my plants in from outside because the wind had picked up when the thunderstorm went through. They will like the warmer inside air. Low 40’s for many nights ahead so they will be indoors now. I’ll have to dig out my other grow lights for them.
Going down with Mandy this morning I had to cover my golf cart seat with a plastic table cloth or get a very wet butt. I've parked the cart in front of the house in hopes of the sun helping to dry out the seat. I won't be needing it anymore today. We walk in the afternoon and evening.
Just washing sheets today and try to get the lake away from the front of the door. I saw that the charger got wet. The wind was so strong it really blew the rain sideways. I hope it didn't damage the charger. It's too heavy for me to move or carry so it's stuck where it is.
Time for more coffee and start the washer. Have a wonderful Christmas weekend.

Good Morning....
It's rainy and very dreary here. Temp is 39.
I never made it here yesterday. The kids were here and DH had a dr appt....so he was gone most the morning and then he had to take lunch to his mom. Penny wasn't too happy that I couldn't devote just my time with her, but we managed to find things to do till grandpa got back. Teddy has a cold and his nose was running non stop. Poor kid, his skin around his nose was really red and raw. He now knows how to use his sleeve....yuk...gross. DD wanted them back home a couple hours earlier than usual as she wanted to make cookies with the kids...well, Penny, anyway. She said she lost her interest after the first batch...LOL But she did decorate that first batch with lots of sprinkles and sugar LOL LOL.
DMIL will now be joining us for Christmas day. She was invited to our niece's house for DBIL's family but one of her kids is sick with a virus and they had to cancell it for now. She was waivering between my house (which she wanted to do) or niece's house. She said the kids there are just to wild for her and it's much calmer at my house. So she will be coming here. I'm sure she will go to their house once they reschedule it.
Not much news...so I'll wish everyone a great day.........

Goodmorning grannies, another dismal day with clouds and rain! A few days of warmer temps nearing the 60* rain each day. I know my batteries will be fully discharged. At east the rain doesn't need shoveled!
Mamma coffee time is over for me and I'm still not shinning, maybe another cup with you might make me shine
Sixteen years this morning that dh went to his heavenly home. What do you think I found sitting on the table by my chair? One dozen red roses that dd had gotten for me. She always remembers that was what dh alway brought to me. We shed a few tears shared some memories and time to get this day moving. I want to give all the grannies a big hug and another thank you for helping me thru those years. You made those days a little easier.
The cleaning girl will soon be here to go to work so I need to do a few things before that starts

Good Morning Ladies - - - The kids got here about 10 to 6 yesterday and a bit later we went to the bowling alley to have a sandwich. Wanted to have pizza, but they were out of crusts. This has changed hands recently and many improvements made, and they seem to be getting off to a good start. The kids friends from Decorah were over to see her grandparents and then joined us and came to the house afterwards so had a fun night. They just let a little bit ago to go to her Dad's and then will be back to spend the night. Dawson has been especially lovey this time - last time I could hardly get a hug & kiss, but very generous this time. Makes for a happy Grannie. Mamma, rainy here too - I just have to make the lasagna today - I waited till they left so I could shower so that will be first on the list. CJ, poor Teddy - those little nose's get so sore quickly. Hope he gets to feeling better. Nice that your MIL can and will join you. Bet Penny is enjoying those "decorated" cookies. Grammy, yes, I always remember that this is the anniversary date of DH! I always forget how many years, but do remember the date and the roses! How sweet of DD to continue. Hugs for you today. I highly doubt that I will get here tomorrow, but should be back on Christmas afternoon. Wishing all of my dear Grannie friends a very Merry CHristmas.

I slept a little later this morning. My voice is coming back Does that mean the antibiotics are starting to work? Still not feeling that great Sinuses are really draining today. I hope to make the last batch of cookies today. Let's see how much dusting I get done.
Grammy I always remember that your DD gives you roses on the passing of your DH That will always make you feel better.
Mamma Another nice picture.

How sweet the roses are GranmyOh, These times can be very lonely. It is cool here and we are supposed to get rain. I hope we do. I got my desk cleaned. That is a big deal. Emptied my shredder. I also made a batch of peanut/butter fudge to take to my cousins on Monday if I get to go. She is cooking breakfast and that will be a good birthday present for me. Jane, I forgot where Dawson lives now? Cjay, I hate when the little ones are sick. Mamma, you seem to be keeping things up good. I feel over whelmed sometimes. Too much to do, And don't see the end. Well I just ate a piece of pound cake with Some coffee. You all come on over for cake 🍰🍰 Be back later.

It's a dark and drizzly day here, temp is 49*. I had the car washed Thursday and thought I could keep it in the garage until tomorrow, but wouldn't you know it? I went to the grocery store yesterday to get a specific and came home without it. So, I my car is no longer clean as I went out this a.m. LOL I've brought in some chairs, crockpots, etc. things for Christmas day but I have 2 sick kids, so we're holding our breath that all will be well by then. The one was in the hospital with bronchial pneumonia and got out Thursday. She's still very tired. MAMMA I saw on the news that your state was really getting rain and wind. I'm thankful you and Mandy are ok. But it did make extra work for you.
CJ I'm sure your DM will be very happy to be with you and your DH on Christmas day. Is your DMIL doing ok? I hope Teddy gets well soon too. There's a lot of sickness in my area right now.
GRAMMY Here's a hug for you. It doesn't get easier when the sweet memories come up but they're one I know you're thankful for. Your DD is so thoughtful. I remember learning about it that day too.
GREENBACK Dawson is changing a lot isn't he. But he definitely knows and loves his grandma. Enjoy every minute with your family.
ICOOK I'm glad you're better. Even though you're not 100% yet. Do you think you'll be able to go to your cousins? I hope you can.
CAROLYN Yum! peanut butter fudge. I haven't had that in years but I would choose that over chocolate. LOL
Time to think about something to eat.

Today I almost took my Christmas tree down and packed up all the decorations.
Jill picked me up and we went to McDonalds for french fries, I won't eat their burgers, and I had a caramel Frappe'. But I still may pack things away.

Josey and I are getting along just fine - she has come right back every time I let her out. Mostly she is just laying on their bed. I suppose that she can smell them and feels close to them there. I got the lasagna made and it's in the frig ready to go in the oven before we leave for 4:00 church tomorrow. It will be fun to show Dawson the manger that he laid in when he was Baby Jesus for the Sunday School program that first Christmas. He was 3 mo. old and then on Christmas Eve just before the end of the service, our interem pastors wife who also took part in the services, as for him to be brought up front and she placed him in the manger again and had a special prayer for him. They have been going to church with Great Grandma on Jen's side, so I don't think they have been back for Christmas Eve since then. I had a little rest, didn't exactly nap but closed my eyes and rested. Felt better after that. It was late when I went to bed and then didn't sleep much at all. I don't know what time they will be coming back here, but I doubt that it will be too early, unless since it's foggy they deceide to leave earlier - Her brother will have farther to go home.
