It looks like a nice weekend to finally get the cabinets on the porch straightened out and washed. No word on a porch sale this year. So I may end up putting things on the market on Facebook. Not what I want to do, but need to sell some things I don't use anymore.
Today it's a trip to the bank, the UPS and wash a load of clothes. I also need to at least try and organize this room. There are cookie containers and other things that need to be put in some kind of order or I'll go crazier. Tomorrow is to be warmer than today so I'll then tackle the cabinets after I get my cleaning done. The dust bunnies are taking over!!
The electric blanket worked out much better. There are heating coils all the way past my feet and I didn't feel like I was being fried. I did however turn it off during the night. And I stayed plenty warm.  I think I stayed so warm is because the new blanket is not cotton so it doesn't breath. I really wish more things were made of cotton.
Well it's about time I get dressed and take Mandy out. We now wait for the sun to rise over the mountains before heading out.

Good Morning....
I see Mamma and I bumped into each other...so I moved my post here.
It's going to be a sunny and warmer day in the 50's.
Yesterday we had the kids. We switched with the other grandparents as they had an appointment yesterday. So we are free today...LOL
DH headed out for a walk in the woods today. It's been a while since he's done that. Nice morning to be out.
I did a craft with Teddy that I also had done with Penny when she was two. A hand print made into a reindeer. His turned out a little different since I couldn't get his thumb in the right position...LOL Here's a pic of his and of Penny's.
 
Icook...hope you are feeling better soon.
Grammy....those aprons will be so well received and she will be so proud.
I can't remember off the top of my head what I wanted to respond to after I read yesterday's posts last night.
Yesterday while the kids and I were eating lunch, I looked down at the neighbors yard and saw a stray cat (I've seen it from time to time all summer) with two kittens. I have no idea where it's living but they were by the sun porch and I'm thinking they might be living under it. There used to be a ground hog that lived under there. The kittens are so cute and we saw one on our patio last night under the bird feeder looking for food. So sad. I know I've read there is a problem with feral cats in the apartment complex across the main road from me.
I think I might make one more cookie today and be done with it. Then on to wrapping the few things I have.

Good morning to CJ and Mama, and other friends yet to stop by today. The sun is shining here and I am going to go for my first walk in two days. This paperwork and running around has me just about wiped out. But, another game for Eli tonight and that will perk me up when I watch our boy play.
Our beloved Laurie sent me a FB message and asked me to let you know that she can't get in to the GN while she is traveling. I have been living vicariously through the beautiful FB pictures she has been posting. She said today's trip itinerary calls for them to be in San Sebastian.
Lots more calls, uploads, emails, etc., done yesterday dealing with DMIL's estate. Mike is happy to do this since he has the time and the others are still working. I also got a much-needed haircut, got one return made at one store where the lines were really long. Ran by two grocery stores to pick up some bargains, came home and got a couple of things done before loading up and going by my sister's to drop off some eggnog muffins I had made for her and then we had been invited to supper at our friends Kevin and Jayne's house and we enjoyed a wonderful meal and visited with them until almost 11:30! Got home and crashed into bed.
Still hoping to find the top of my kitchen table under all the paperwork so that will be one goal for today before we leave for the game and we have several stops to make on our way out of town to drop off things.

Good morning grannies,there's sunshine again today and it's 31* now, I know it was a few degrees lower this morning but it's heading for the low 50s this afternoon.Not bad for mid December. Like some others I might have to get those cuddle duds out when it really gets cold.
Mamma the cookies sounds good I'll help myself to a couple of them. Would like to try them all but I'm adding the pounds back that I lost during the last hospital visit. Too much sitting and not enough exercise will do it! Sure wish I could do more stuff. I think my bottom side it developing callouses!!
CJ cute little handprints. A few years ago my #3 dgd gave me a flower pot that had handprints of all the dggc on it. Something like this with a flower in it would make a good Mothers Day gift.
Kids are gone so it's quiet in the house this morning. Not sure what I will be doing today other than sitting with Kindle. The morning excitement is usually my coffee and watch the planes come and go. The Columbus airport is E of and we must be in a landing and take off pattern. Lots of planes leaving their trails in the sky. They are still too high for the noise to be a problem here.
Time to think of something to do

Sun is shining today I feel lousy today Can't wait for this cold to go away. Not doing anything today other than making a few phone calls. Going to lay on the couch, cover up & watch TV.

Grammy, I just can't seem to get into walking anymore. When my arms just hang by my side the right one hurts too much. The doctor said I need to walk more, ha ha, like that is going to happen. I move enough during the day. And I really don't care what the blood work shows, it's been the same for years and years. But I'll try it now and then just because Mandy loves to walk. And BTW, my cookies have no calories. LOL I forbid them. WE live near a Marine base so it's always noisy from planes etc. And when the jets fly low, oh my goodness the house just shakes.
Debbie, I see Lauries pictures on FB too. I hope you find your kitchen table today. LOL
CJ, keep your kitties inside as much as you can. Those ferrel cats carry so much disease it's scary. We finally have less ferrel cats in the park. 
Scratch the idea of going to the UPS today. Way too many people will be there sending gifts. I can wait until mid January to send my packages back to Amazon. Or keep my packages in the car and watch the parking lot for less cars when I'm out and about. Not the best idea though. That is just asking for trouble.

Mamma...my kitties are strictly indoor cats. Oscar slipped out when he was a kitten, but I caught him right away and Biscuit used to go out on DD's balcony when she was in an apartment. That's as much of the outdoors they have experienced.
Icook...so sorry to hear you aren't getting better yet. Hang on...one day you'll realize you are feeling better. Hope it's sooner than later.
Debbie...I don't know how I'm going to handle it when that day comes with my mom. I'm the only one to deal with everything. She has put a folder together with lots of info I will need to know and things that need doing. But it's still going to be very stressful for me. I might need to borrow your DH...although I don't even want to think of that yet.
I've been working on washing windows with the weather so nice out there. It's in the 50's with the sun shining bright. I don't even need a jacket. I think DH is going to have to help on a few of the windows. I tried doing them from inside (they tip inward) but they just won't tip for me and I'm afraid of breaking something. So I better stop..LOL

Good Morning Ladies - - - It's 43 but mostly cloudy here today - I think there is a chance of rain, although not going to amount to much the last I heard. Will see what overnight and tomorrow bring. I need to go to the jewelry store today and pick up Jen's ring that she left for repair. Then I have a couple of other stops to make while I am out.
CJ, cute hand prints of the kids - fun to see them do those cute things and to look back and see how much that little hand has grown. It is sad that you will have to deal with all of your Mom's things when that time does come, but on the other hand, you don't have anyone to create issues or disagree with the way that you are handling things. Somehow, there always seems to have things come up that not all agree on.
Mamma, sounds like you are planning a busy day for yourself. A couple of extra cookies may be needed to fuel up for that!
IC, resting is the best medicine for you right now, but remember to drink lots of water too!
Grammy, I'm sure the house is very quite - one never realizes how busy and loud it is, until it becomes to quite - I remember that when the kids were little and thinking I would like some peace and quite and then when it happens, I was lost because it was to quite. Have fun watching the planes - glad the noise doesn't bother.
Debbie, so much to do and so little time - enjoy your walk today - Cheer hard at the game tonight, but remember not too loud so you get kicked out again! I still think that is so funny!!! Bet your sister was happy with the muffins.
I'm sure Laurie is having a great time and nice of her to think of us, as busy as she in traveling.

Good beautiful sunny morning, temp was 29* when I got up and now it's 51*. No complaints about the weather from me! The 2nd load of laundry is in the washer and I have a couple of rooms to clean too. Tomorrow I think I'll finish the laundry then do the rest of my Christmas baking etc. I'm waiting for an order to be delivered then I'm finished!!!
MAMMA I agree that you're active. You seem to have trouble sitting still and always on the move doing something. I'm looking forward to next week when the days start getting longer.....even though it'll be several months before we see much of a difference.
CJ Those handprint reindeer are so cute. They'll be even cuter in years to come. You're so talented and creative.
DEBBIE Hang in there, even though there's a lot going on, it will get done! Take time for you, my friend, you're worth it!!!
GRAMMY I wished we lived closer, we could enjoy cookies and coffee and lots of chatting!!! Life does make changes! I hope your day goes well.
ICOOK It's ok to do nothing today. That's probably what your body needs until you get over this. Tinker will love snuggling with you.
GREENBACK I need to get my car washed. I'm trying to watch the weather so it won't get rained on right after I get it washed. LOL So I hope the rain you have doesn't come her and won't stop me from it. LOL Did you read my post on GN last night? I did respond. LOL
DSIL is now starting with a sore throat. He seldom gets sick and is the last one to admit it when he is!! So DD will come without him and do a couple of things for me. She won't stay long and we'll keep our distance. Stinking illnesses!!! Time to get the ole 'body moving.

Walk is done and Mike went with me part of the way and then waited until I went on the rest of the way and he waited until I caught up with him again and we came back together. He said he could feel the burn--LOL, LOL
I sat down to do a couple of things at the computer and, of course, had to peek into the GN. Just as I was reading about the various air traffic some of you see and hear, we had one of the B1 bombers from Whiteman AFB fly overhead. Those things are impressive. We are in their flight training path and see them ever so often, but it never gets old!
Jane, I forgot to mention that when we stopped by my sister's house last night, her talented son, my nephew Jeffrey, had gotten such a kick out of the story of me getting kicked out of the ballgame this past weekend that he used his woodworking/artistic skills and made me a wooden ornament of a basketball and court with a grandma-looking lady shouting "are you blind?" at a referee who is blowing his whistle and saying "you're out of here!" He did that the day after my sister relayed my story to him! It just blew me away the detail of it and that he had it done! What a surprise that made me laugh and laugh. I need to go dig out a hook so it can go on my Christmas tree!

It is 31. I am waiting on the repair people to get my internet up and running. Didn't realize Laurie was traveling. Hope she has a good trip. Where did she go? I have some invites for Sun Mon n Tues. Think I will only try to go to the one on Mon for the senior citizen dinner. Have to make a cake for that. I am not up to going anyplace much now with my knee hurting so much I have been thinking about going to a Chiropractor  Not sure if I should I have lots of stuff wrong with my back too. Cjay I seen something about Taos getting some hard rains. Mamma, your cookies look good. I will be back later |

Debbie What a nice gesture from you nephew It's good to get a good laugh once in awhile I haven't had one in a long time.
Elle I hope I feel better tomorrow to do some cleaning. Want to at least make the chocolate chip cookie dough.
