Good Morning....
It's a chillier morning than yesterday. The wind makes it feel chillier. DH & his friend are going out hiking this morning.
Our lunch and games was fun yesterday. Wish we could get together more often but I'll take what we can do.
Today is haircut day....I'll have to be sure to tell her exactly what I want her to do and hope for the best.
I need to make a quick grocery run and then start on those calendars. Nothing like putting it off till the last minute. That's me!
Have a great day......

It's burrrzy out there this morning. I'm not made for 44º weather anymore. My legs get so cold I'm thinking of getting some cuddle duds.
Yesterday I waited until around 5:30 for my Amazon order. And I gave up and remade my bed. Then at 6:30 I thought I had better check my mail. In the mail room sat a huge package addressed to me from Amazon.. Why it was not delivered to my door made me upset. It was a bit too heavy for me but I got it into the cart and house. There were 4 orders in the box all with weight to them. So, anyway, I stripped the bed and put the heated mattress pad on and remade the bed. Then I set up the desk organizer. By then it was time to take Mandy out and me to call it a day. The heavy box and remaking the bed took everything out of me.
Today I get my nails done, wash a load of clothes, finish with my desk project and then, maybe, if it's not too windy, we will go for a little walk. And I have a couple Christmas gifts to deliver to my few friends in the park. That is all on my to do list for today.
Stay warm and safe.

It's a sunny day! It looks and feels so good, but it is cold and on the windy side. I just got home from Prayer meeting, having a quick sandwich and off in a few minutes to game day. We'll have lots of goodies there and the hostess always has her house decorated so nice.
CJ I hope your DH is dressed warm. He really is an outside guy. Are you working on the calendars? LOL
MAMMA I wear cuddle duds all the time, although I'm in Ohio, not AZ. One of the "perks" (ya) of being widowed is we get to do it all ourselves...large and small packages. I hope you're arms aren't hurting today. I get you're enjoying the nice organizer.
Time to eat and go.

Good morning to CJ, Mama, and all dear friends yet to visit. It is sunny and brisk here in central MO. I just finished my walk; it was chilly when I started, but those hills made me start to sweat a bit and I was glad to get inside and shed my jacket. Stopped at the mailbox and got the mail when I got back to the house as the mail truck passed me during my walk, so I knew it had been delivered.
It has been even more hectic than usual in our household. In addition to the long day of the funeral last week, we had seven basketball games in by Saturday night and would have had eight, but we missed one of Eli's games to attend Emmett's 5th grade Christmas concert. We also have been to Mike's mom's house a lot, had Grandparents' Day with Trinity (3rd grade), attended the St. Thomas Christmas parade and tree lighting with Emmett, Amelia and Josie Mae, went to church and SS, had a family meeting with all Mike's siblings, hauled a big load of "stuff" off to the Helping Hands organization, and tried to keep things together here at home. There is so much to be done yet, that Mike and siblings have agreed to keep DMIL's duplex through the end of January. Mike just left for California, MO, after getting a call that the death certificates are ready to be picked up. It was necessary for the coroner to have a police report before signing it since DMIL died at home and the police report took a while to be completed and received, apparently.
Yesterday, Mike and I spent all day on the phone trying to make contact with DMIL's utilities, quilter, and lots of others to try to start getting a big picture of things. With the death certificates, Mike will now be able to proceed with several tasks.
Mike just got home, so time to talk with him, write some thank you notes, do some ironing, fix some lunch and then hit the road again for a game for Eli in Iberia tonight. I will be minding my "Ps" and "Qs" there as I actually got kicked out of Drew's game there on Saturday--LOL. It was a teenage boy refereeing, I was sitting on the front row and simply said "that was a push" and he blew his whistle and said "you're outta here!" I don't know what was in his craw, but I went out to the hall and when I came in for Drew's next game, he tried to keep me from doing so, but the administrator in charge intervened and said she didn't think I had done anything at all that warranted removal so that ticked him off even more, but I got to stay for the game. He obviously was having a bad day and decided he didn't like me. Funny thing is, there have been times I have argued with the refs much more vociferously than I did at that game, but he took a dislike to me and, that coupled with whatever else was bothering him, led to Saturday's ejection. Drew didn't know what was going on, but knew that Paw Paw walked out of the gym first when the ref said "you're outta here", so when the game was over, he went up to Mike and said "good job, Paw Paw." I said, Paw Paw, heck, it was Maw Maw that got thrown out! He said "SERIOUSLY!" and just dropped his jaw in disbelief. They know I don't ever do anything that would get me thrown out of any game. Oh well, some of the other grandparents and I had a good laugh about it last night at the game and it will be interesting to see if the ref (who has Mike described had his feathers ruffled for some other reason than me), is a player on the high school team that Eli will be playing against tonight. I will be quiet, I promise--LOL.
Love to all, time to get busy and on the road again....

I'll make this short and sweet since something has been misbehaving all day. A trip to the eye Dr this morning and this was the real one. I should have remembered that I always get email reminding me of and appointment. All the doctors and even the dentist send email. Last week dd said dr appointment so we went. This was my last treatment so no more trips there until March for a checkup. This is as good as it gets. Damage done to the sight of this eye probably will not get any better than it is. Thankful that the other eye is OK. That was an early morning appointment and the excitement for the day.
Elle those of us left alone do lots of things that we never expected to be doing. Dh put gas in my car as long as he could do it. I actually had to learn how to do that. Have a fun filled afternoon with friends.
CJ hope you get the perfect hair cut today. I told the last stylist to listen to me or don't touch it.I don't want any more buzz cuts and it was almost that short.
Debbie try to behave and not get thrown out the game today! U needa nap after just reading about all your activities.
I didn't know how quickly I could lose strength! I tried walking on the treadmill and it was a read struggle make10 minutes. That UTI is a vicious thing! I will try to add a minute or two till I get stronger. Maybe later I will try for another few minutes.
I did a little pressing for Kathy's sewing project. I want her to get the 2 aprons finished for her mom and dad for Christmas gifts. This is just repeating what she had done before. I want it to be her work not mine. They will be leaving Thursday to meet his sister and family at a BnB in KY the mom and dad will also be there. Kathy's sewing time is running out

Good Afternoon Ladies - - - I was off to coffee with the gals at one of the gals home and had a stop at church first. I dropped off my check for the poinsettia, my time & talent sheet and est. of giving, and then the glow sticks that I ordered and gifted for the little kids to have during the candlelight services. Dawson got them the last 2 years when they went to church with DGGM and was so proud to bring them along to my house and show me and I thought how nice it was that I asked Pastor if I could gift them to the little's here and he was very receptive to the idea. It should save some spilled wax also. CJ, burr to going for a hike today - good for those guys though. Glad you had a good day with the gals yesterday - and, yes, we all need to spend more time with others - so good for us and helps to keep us sharp! Mamma, sorry that box didn't get delievered - That's a lot to wrestle by yourself but bet you were happy when you went to bed last night. Ellie, I know you are enjoying yourself this afternoon. Good to share that company and fellowship. Debbie, I just don't know how you keep up with everything. I almost need a nap just reading your schedule, but I know I would have enjoyed every bit of it, except maybe you getting kicked out of the game - I might had had a laugh with you one that one too, though! Glad the appointment worked out today, Grammy. I hope you can get Kathy to finish the apron's on time and I'm sure she will be very proud to gift them. I had better get busy and get something done, although I never seem to get a lot done on Tuesdays. That's okay, there is always another day - I got a call from Jen yesterday and she said that they were trying to be approved to leave at noon on Fri.. the 22 to come home and get here in a reasonable time and not have to eat in a gas station on the run. She has been approved and was waiting to hear if Daren is approved. I haven't talked to her after he got home, so hopefully it will be a go for him also.

I'm late again today Christina came this morning & only stayed an hour. She's still not feeling well from the pneumonia. She came back this afternoon to take me to see the nurse practitioner. I have a viral infection She told me to take Mucinex(sp) & use Vicks Vapo rub. If Christina feels OK in the morning she'll come to clean the bathroom & do the floors. Thurs I see the eye dr. about my surgery.
