Good Morning....
Colder morning with another warm up coming this week.
Today is game/lunch day with the school ladies. I'm looking forward to it.
Yesterday I made my peanut butter kiss cookies. It seems I'm making all the usual ones except I don't think I will make any sugar cut outs.
My boxes are ready to go to the post office this morning. I hate to even think what the postage will be. I wasn't going to send any packages but DH bought some gag gifts for the kids in CO and NM...so since that was going in a box, I decided I would get a few things to add.
Guess I should finish getting ready to go to the post office. I would like to be first in line...LOL

Back from the post office and the sticker shock wasn't as bad as I anticipated. Happy for that. I was the second one in line. YAY!

Burrrrr, a cold 45ยบ this morning and a pokey Mandy to boot. Everything was a distraction for her. I had to constantly remind her of what to do. hehehe Too cold to stand there and wait for her to remember why she was there.
This morning sometime I'll make a trip to the bank and then strip the bed. It looks as though the mattress pad and my desk stuff is out for delivery. When it gets here is anyone guess. This time of year there is a lot for postmen and women to deliver. Then the office sorts our mail and the maintenance man, Johnny delivers any packages to our home. My bed will be unmade for a good part of the day. Oh well, no one sees the mess but me. I doubt I'll be doing anything else today.
CJ, the small light weight package that Lincoln sent me cost him just shy of $6, crazy. I hope your stuff doesn't break the bank. |

Goodmorning grannies. another day to make your own sunshine and I'm having some trouble doing that. It's dark and cloudy with a little dusting of snow,temp is 33 and will only go up a couple more degrees today. I must have a seasonal disorder I yearn for some sunshine on these days. I remember one winter with 30 some days with no sun just rain, snow and clouds! DH even bought one of those lamps that supposed to be like sunshine for me.
CJ the cost of mailing the package wasn't too bad when you think how much postage needs to be put on a letter! Cookies sounds good so go ahead and make them. I'll be glad to take the extras.
Mamma wish you could send me some sunshine I wouldn't even mind the wind! The things for your desk look pretty so now keep a neat desk! Mine is always a mess.
Yesterday dd, dsil and I attended a performance of The Messiah it was very good. A local daughter and her dh had some solo parts.They both perform with the San Francisco Opera Company. Her sister was also a soloist a very talented family. After the performance we went to dinner at Bob Evans. A nice evening. Not much to do here today but if I look in the right places I'm sure to find something

I think I'm catching the cold that Christina has. Her bronchitis turned into pneumonia. I'm coughing. Might have to call the Drs. office for an appt.

IC< I'm so sorry you are catching a cold. If you can, take Zinc, it makes the cold go away quickly, if taken at the onset of the cold.
Grammy, I wish I could send you some sunshine. I do remember Monkey getting you the sun lamp. I hope you will have sunshine soon. You surely did have a wonderful evening yesterday.
CJ, good to hear that the postage didn't overwhelm you bank account.
This morning I found out that the headlight will work when it wants to. Half way down the street it finally came one, although it is dim. So I called Denny, again. I wish they would check things more thoroughly when fixing something. It's really upsetting me. As I'm sure Denny is none to happy either.
Sheets are in the dryer and blankets folded and waiting for the heated mattress pad to get here. I should vacuum the mattress as long as it is stripped of bedding. Not sure my arms can lift the vacuum that high though. So many things that I can't do anymore, but I can still do so many. I'm blessed.
OH oh, Sorry Grammy the sunshine is now covered in clouds.

Good Morning Ladies - - - Oops-it is just noon now - I didn't get up very early, since I was still awake at 3 and not sure how long after that - - I was cold, my feet felt like ice, and just can't sleep when I am cold. Then my SIL called and we talked for a long time, so I am behind the 8 ball! Hopefully, I will catch up as the day go's on. It was 24 when I first noticed, but 27 and cloudy now - hopefully the sun will come out, as it seems like it's trying to.
Yesterday was a nice day, in spite of the change in plans on where to eat. 3 of us had breakfast and the other 2 sandwiches. It was good, but my tummy felt a little greasy all afternoon. I had ham, eggs, Am. fries and toast. We got to the opera house early and it wasn't long and they opened the door and we got in. We were in second row center so had excellent seats. No one sat in the first row until after intermission and a dad and young daughter came from upstairs and sat there. I was guessing either mom or grandma was in it. We got home at 5, just as it was getting dark, and saw no deer, so good trip! Now it will be the surprise party next Sunday, and the 80th. BD will be all celebrated.
CJ, glad you got those boxes in the mail - did any of the cookies go in them? Funny about DH buying some fun gifts! No matter what I get off the kids list, I always like to have something that is a fun surprise.
Mamma, wouldn't you know, it would be a chilly day when Mandy wants to be a slow poke. I sure could have used that mattress pad last night to warm me up!
Grammy, I'm sure you enjoyed your concert just as much as I did. I kind of would have liked to go to the one at our church last night, but enough in one day, and I can watch it on here now too. I would have liked to hear the 10 year old boy that sang a solo accompanied by his mom on the harp. He sings with a boys choir in LaCrosse, Wi.
IC, sorry to hear you are under the weather - take care of yourself and rest and drink lots of water.
Well, my second cup of coffee is gone - I feel like I could have a third, but that is a little much, so will get along without it!

It's a cloudy and cold day here. The sun peeked out for maybe 5 minutes a short time ago but now it's almost time for it to "set." I think I'm finished with my Christmas shopping. Now I need to see how many bags, paper, etc. I might need to get them wrapped/bagged and under the tree. It seems impossible that it's only 2 weeks away. Tomorrow is busy, prayer meeting in the a.m. then shortly after it's game day. Wednesday is another appointment..that takes me to Thursday that will be cleaning etc. I have made a few Christmas goodies and maybe will do some cookies and one other thing.
CJ What games did you play with the ladies today? We usually play domino's (chicken tracks) and play nine..a card game like golf.
MAMMA Goodness girl, you are one busy lady!!! I hope you did give your arms a rest. It's so frustrating when things like the lights on your GC don't work. I hope they get it working right for you.
GRAMMY I also remember the excitement you had when your DH got the special "sunshine" light for you. Does it help? I might be able to use one too. LOL
ICOOK I'm so sorry you're not feeling well. I think Mamma has some good advice about the zinc. My DD uses it when she feels like she catching a cold and it seems to work for her. Take care of yourself.
GREENBACK The seats for the opry was right on target!! That doesn't always happen. I'm glad you enjoyed it.
It's almost supper time, shrimp, tator tots and watergate salad for me tonight. Then I might snack on some Christmas goodies!!

Christina is taking me to see the nurse practitioner tomorrow afternoon. I'm still coughing I can feel the congestion Cancelled my dentist appt. for tomorrow morning on getting my teeth cleaned. They don't need a sick patient. Don't go till February now.
Jane My feet get cold so easily I wear socks 24 7 Can't sleep if my feet are cold
