Good Morning....
It rained a little around 5am. Now it's dreary but on the mild side at 50*. We could break a record today as it might reach 60*.
Lots of fun with the kids yesterday. That Teddy is growing and learning by leaps and bounds. It amazes us at how much he changes from week to week. I have a snowman rug (that I won in the raffle last Sunday at the Christmas dinner) by the front door and they both wanted to sit on it...so I was able to get a picture of them. Penny and I made it outside but Teddy didn't. He has a runny nose and was napping when we went out. I walked around the yard with my little bucket scooping up deer doodoo and pretty much filled it up. Pretty gross. Penny helped me find it...LOL
Lauriet...have a great time on your trip. I don't recall where it is you are going, but I know you've been looking forward to it.
DD/DSIL is taking the kids to see Santa today. I hope they can get a good picture.
I might try and make another Christmas cookie today. I really don't think I will make all that I usually do. We just don't need all those cookies and it takes us a long time to eat them. Usually by the end of January we are finishing up the last of them. And I'm trying to resist so many of the sweets and it's so hard when they are right there in front of me. DH has no problem eating them though.
I have to get the packages ready to take to the post office today. I have them packed, just need to add a little note and address them.

Oh my CJ, I need to read more slowly. I thought I read the kids wanted to sit on a snowman MUG. And I actually had to go back and read. LOL I don't need all the cookies I bake either, but I eat cookies with my coffee each morning and I hate store bought that I'm stuck with all summer long. And baking all those cookies is just part of my Christmas celebration. Some day I won't be able to do this, so I'm doing all I can now. I remember how excited Patrick was to see all the decorated cookies. He just asked me the other day if I still make all those pretty cookies. He even listed several of his favorite. Nice to know that it is a good memory for him.
Yesterday around 2 they brought my cart back. A new headlight switch was put in and now I have lights. They also have the trunk so it will open, not easily but I it will open. It was too chilly last night for a tootle but we went for a short one in the afternoon.
My SIL sent me a check in memory of Mark on his birthday. She asked me to get something that he would want me to have. She is the most thoughtful loving person I know.
A load of laundry is in the washer and I will change the sheets shortly and get them washed either today or tomorrow. If my arms will allow it, I would like to hang the sheets on the lines by the laundry room. I miss that beautiful scent of line dried laundry. Monday I have a heated mattress pad coming so I'll be remaking the bed again. Although I could wait with the sheets until then but I never know when the mail will get here. And I don't want to be changing the sheets so late in the day. It's hard work and my arms are usually tired by that time of day.

Good Morning Ladies - - - So far, I have done nothing other that have my coffee and toast! It's back to the 30's and no sunshine. I really miss the sun, like all of us, I'm sure. Not much planned for the day except a shower when the coffee is gone and then we will go from there. I worked on my Christmas cards yesterday and should finish up with them, but will see.
CJ, I just love the picture of your cute grands! Penny's curls are such a delight. I'm sure she was good help helping you locate those humps! Teddy is a sweetheart too! I also liked your rug - a nice win at that party and useful also.
Mamma, glad your ride is ready and waiting for you again. The sheets smell so good when they are hung outside. I have no where to hang them out, and wouldn't be able to do it, if I did, so guess it doesn't matter. Enjoy your cookies.
Looks like it's a busy day for everyone!

I slept very late this morning, 11:30 Never sleep that late phone woke me up A scammer so I didn't answer it. I'll be busy today dusting Want to make some peanut butter cookies At least make the dough.

Good afternoon, it's sunny and 63* here. The sun has been in and out but what about those temps!!! Tomorrow we're back to winter weather again. I made a trip to Joann's this a.m. I'm going to make another fleece knotted blanket. I'm not sure who will get it but I enjoy making them. I'm about done tying the one for DGS. Laundry is going, the family needs to be dusted and vacuumed and dishes need to be done. This afternoon will be my side of the family Christmas get together. There's about 22 of us with 2 not able to be there. DD is hosting it.
CJ How do you think the DGC will take to Santa? I love the picture of them. They're so cute!!
MAMMA Doesn't it just make you smile when DGS gives such a sweet and sincere compliment about the cookies. That makes the work worthwhile. And
what a thoughtful SIL you have!! I'm sure you'll find something "just for you."
GREENBACK I haven't done Christmas card for several years. When the postage went up, I stopped. I have received one so far and she's a co-worker and I always get hers first. LOL
ICOOK Wow, that was really a late start to the day. You must have been tired. I actually work up about 1/2 hour earlier than usual. Have a good day.

Late again,I was here earlier but it was close to lunch time so that had to be first! If you have too many cookies you might think about sending some to this grannie. What cuties those dgc are and the rug was a nice win from the raffle for them to play on.
Mamma how nice to receive the money to buy something for yourself. Another Christmas present will b just what you wanted. The heated mattress pad will be so comfy on a chilly night. I use my heated throw to warm up my bed before getting in there. Sure feels good to get into the warm bed.
Greenback nothing wrong with a little extra time in bed. Wish I could sleep late and not always wake up so early.I do like the quiet mornings.
IC another grannie sleeping late today
elle sounds like a nice thing to have a family get together at Christmas time.
The joys of getting older! I wanted to do a little sewing but couldn't get the needle threaded!
A dreary damp day to add to my bad mood.

The last of the Molasses cookie dough is in the oven. Sure smells good. Maybe tomorrow I'll make another kind.
DD said Teddy wanted nothing to do with Santa and Penny got real shy and wouldn't talk...LOL LOL
Elle...enjoy your gathering today...sounds like a fun time.
Mamma...love the pic today. I think I could drink one of those right now. Glad the issues with the gc are taken care of. Makes a grandma feel good when the grand children remember their favorite cookies.
Greenback...the sun finally came out but, my oh my, is it ever windy.
Icook...I think some peanut butter cookies might be made this year. One of my favorites (I use Mamma's recipe...they are the best).

I'm taking a much needed SSD. Got the cookie dough made Not going to bake them till tomorrow. Don't want to be working when it gets dark That might sound crazy Did some dusting. Tomorrow will be dry swiffing the floors & maybe a load of laundry. Didn't eat yet today I have some leftovers I want to finish Going down for the mail now Haven't done that in three days. Gave Tinker her antibiotic & put drops in her eyes.

Because the blinds and curtains are open this time of year, Happy's fish bowl gets green. So this morning I had to clean his home. It was mostly the water that had gotten green the inside wasn't all that bad yet. But it sure nice and clear now. I had to make a run to the water shed and buy two gallons of water for Happy. The Yuma water isn't fit for fish, flowers or much of anything. Even my RO water isn't for him.
The wind is just terrible. I had to bring my plants in before they got ripped to shreds. And is it ever a cold north wind too yet. I so dread taking Mandy out this afternoon. We will go under the solar panels where most of the wind will be blocked. That is usually where we go in the summer to get out of the sun.
All the bowls and such from the fish job are done and the kitchen is cleaned up once again. I didn't change the sheets so I'm hoping that the heated mattress pad will in fact be here Monday, early in the day too.
CJ, I can smell those yummy molasses cookies all the way down here. MMmmmmm
IC, I wish I could sleep in longer. But 7 this morning is better than most.
Elle, it's only 64ยบ here now but with the wind....I don't even want to know. hehehe
Grammy, those darn needle eyes get smaller every year. My machines have threaders but it still is difficult at times to grab ahold of the thread.
With the money that Barb and David gave me, I ordered things to organize my desk. It's so easy to loose my important stuff when just piled on top of the desk. And I have some Sketcher shoes coming too. Here are pics of the desk things I ordered. I'm so anxious for them to get here........
