Good Morning....
The sun will be shining today with the high around 50. I think I'm ready for spring LOL
The kids will be here in a bit. We will have lots of outside playing.
Not much happening yet....so I'll wish everyone a great day. Help yourself to the coffee and donut holes. Maybe Mamma will share some of her cookies. I was eyeing those cinnamon roll cookies.

Good morning! I'm taking a SSD for a few minutes and figured I'd chat for a little bit.
I woke up at 4:30 and had to go you know where. Of course, I was wide awake then. So, after doing the paper, I've been doing my cards and decorating. I'm hoping by noon I'll have two things checked off my list.
DGD is taking me to a PBR event tonight. Other DGD and her bf are going to go along. Hope it's not too expensive. Told her we would wait till we got there and get are tickets. Ticket master adds charges. If I think it's too much, then we will just go out to eat somewhere nice. It will be fun either way.
Went to see Sue the other evening. She was in the hospital again, then home, then back in the hospital, and now is in a nursing home again. Different one from previous one. She definitely is not the same Sue. I guess she has another UTI. But talking to her she said she is too weak to get up by herself. Well if she goes home, it's going to be the same. She needs extended care with lots of therapy. You can tell that she is or has dementia/Alzheimers (sp). How am I going to handle two. Yikes, with a lot of praying for sure.
Tomorrow is the last day of hunting and I hope to be in the woods till at least noon. Might start my baking later in the day or wait till Sunday after church. So far I've got chocolate chip with mint M&Ms and Cindy's cinnamon roll cookies dough made and chilling. Later I'm going to mix up gingerbread. Hope to make cranberry tarts too. Meeting my sisters for lunch on Tuesday and I want to give them cookies and one of my blueberry/cherry zucchini breads. The week of Christmas hoping to, no I will, make raisin filled. I love them but time consuming. Plus they get ate too quick. LOL.
Time to go, the dryer is yelling for me. Geesh! Can't a girl rest? ?

Yes, I set the full cookie tray on the table, help yourself. There is a full pot of coffee there as well.
Yesterday, late afternoon, they picked up the cart to put in a new headlight and see why it went out. I told the driver to make sure it is back in less than a week. And that I am not happy with the cart. It's true, but maybe I'm still missing my other cart more. It had a special meaning to me.
Nothing planned for today. It feels funny not having any baking to do. But I am glad it's now done and I can enjoy all the cookies. The beef jerky turned out really good too.
If I get too bored I may go and check out the mini mall here in the Foothills that I just never seem to get to. I've heard it has a lot of neat stores.
Oh, yesterday when I was at the insurance office, I saw all the pretty office things the gal had on her desk. When we were done with business I asked here where she got it all. Amazon of course. LOL The tape dispenser and stapler where clear and the metal parts were a rose gold. So very amazing and pretty. Anyway when I got home I went right to Amazon. And I bought myself some Christmas presents. I may even wrap them. The price was very reasonable. It will sure help me keep the top of my desk more organized and not looking so messy all the time. Maybe make things easier to find too. I don't get many bills through the mail anymore but I still have things that I need to mail out now and again. No I didn't need these things, but they sure will be nice to have. Sometimes we need to get things that we just want.
Wanda, I'm so sorry that Sue is not doing well. I know how close you two were/are. Good luck hunting this year and getting all done that you want to do. Enjoy your fun outing today.
CJ, not as chilly here this morning but cooler this afternoon than yesterday. Enjoy you nicer weather. I'm sure you'll find plenty to do. We just don't always want to look. LOL |

I didn't make it here yesterday Very unusual for me. It was just super busy. Christina is sick again Pneumonia this time. She came Tinker had to go to the vet for her shot. Two meds. for her Antibiotic for her gums again Vet is trying not to have anymore teeth pulled. He gave me an estimate on what it would cost for X-rays, blood work & teeth extractions, $1,500 to $1,700. He told me chihuahuas have bad teeth. Eye drops for her eyes too Her eyes are irritated. Insurance will cover most of it.
Sun is out for just today. Tomorrow cloudy & very nasty on Sunday with lots of rain & strong winds. Taking my ELVIS Christmas flag down & the wreath on the door.
Thanks for the cookies Mamma I have baking to do yet. Peanut butter are the next ones on my list.

Good morning grannies finally there is sunshine looks much better than those cloudy days that seemed to last forever. Warmer today also the temp is 46 already! Going to 60 this afternoon then the change starts with more rain
UTI is better after getting started on the medication! The sunshine and meds have perked me up this morning.
CJ thanks for the goodies this morning. Yummy good as usual
Justme so sorry to hear about Susie Bear, after her first meeting with the grannies she always sent Christmas cards. Prayers for her. We had a friend bless us with 3 deer and then discovered all the processors were far too busy to take them! Chef has a friend who came to the rescue he dresses his own an was happy to showChef just what to do!The deer were killed by 3 young boys but the mom says "not in my kitchen" we are usually the ones asked if we want them.
Mamma hope that golf cart comes back quickly and ready for you and Mandy to tootle about. Glad you found the things you like for the desk. A nice present for yourself. I'll have some more cookies, please
IC WOW I had no idea the pets could be so expensive!!
As usual not much for me to do today so I need to get busy

Wow IC, chihuahuas sure do have a lot of health issues. I remember all that your other baby had. No wonder you have pet insurance, you need it. So sorry that Tinker is having health issues too. I hope that Christina gets well quickly.
I just put some ribbon on my front door to make it look like a present. Now I hope it will stay on the door. The bow is kind of funky but it will do for now. hehehe I've gotten the bed made too, but so far that is all.
Today lunch may be the Christmas salad that I made yesterday with some hard cooked eggs on the side. Supper is anyone's guess. I do know it won't be meatballs. Yuck. Next time Mark puts an order in my ear, I won't listen. I hate meatballs and meatloaf. It's to the point that I don't like much of any kind of meat anymore.

Good Morning Ladies - - - A nice start to the day, at 44, but it's mostly cloudy, so not nice and bright like yesterday! Not much planned for the day so will see what happens. I did get the last package of my ordering - not will see if I can not order anything more! What I have should be good enough and I haven't tried on my new shoes yet either. I sure hope they work out, they are a mesh like material that I thought would stretch a little, then they have the harder heel so you can step in them. Seems like a win-win and hoping it will be.
CJ have fun outside with the kids - the fresh air will be so good for all of you.
Wanda, hope you can go to the PBR tonight - now you would enjoy it and like you said, it will be a good time just spending it with the kids. Sorry to hear about your friend Suzie.
Mamma, glad you got the insurance all settled and found yourself a new little treat at the same time. Hope the GC is an easy fix. Your cookie tray looks so tasty.
IC, I don't think Christina ever gets completely well. I'm sure she just keeps going and never gets the rest she needs. Sorry to hear about the puppy problems.
Grammy, good news that you are feeling better. Hope the deer processing goes well.

Hello, sitting in the porch at #1's finishing putting the doo-dads on the wreaths I brought down here. Two I don't have to do anything to, three needed their bling. So, watching movie as I do them. It is 45* in Minneapolis right now, the street sweeper just went by, usually at this time of the year it is the snow plow. We fly out tomorrow afternoon, the Yeti and I drove down last night as he is at a Township Convention meeting thing. The neighbor is on doggie duty and will take care of Nim and the Nugget. I wanted to say hi and tell you I didn't fall off the face of the earth. I'll try to put a few wreath pics up, I'll be glad to be done with them today. Blessed be to all of my friends!

I never made it to the dollar store.
Oh well, the kids will get the things I need
while they are out today.
I vacuumed the living room and it wore me
out. My vacuum is way too heavy.
Had oatmeal and fruit this morning.
Going to try to fix some cards today.
Going to my cousins tomorrow and will
stay the weekend,

Oh my goodness, from her morning run in the pet area Mandy was coated in sand. I didn't realize it until she jumped onto my lap for a pet. Good grief I was covered in sand. So in the tub she went. And then I had to take the dust mop to the floors again and shake out the cover from the chair. I'm sure she feels much better now. My tub looked like a sand box when we were done. Lots of rinseing and cleaning of the tub. Her blankies are all in the washer now too and she is not to happy about that. After a bath her waves really come out. She looks like a little puff ball. LOL
Grammy I'm so happy that the UTI meds are working quickly for you.
Jane I hope that the shoes fit perfectly and give you much comfort. It's so hard to find that in any shoe. I ordered a pair of Sketchers and hope they will fit. I ordered a bit larger so heavier socks can be worn. My right foot is half size larger so that foot will be happy. hehehe
Carolyn, have an enjoyable time with your cousins this weekend.
Laurie, safe travels and a great time.
I made some egg salad for a sandwich as my lunch today. It's been awhile since I've had one. The salad will be supper.

I just had a wonderful trip down memory lane and thought I would share it with you. Can't remember the year but it was 2006 or 2007 I made a Christmas scrap book using Christmas cards and family Christmas pictures. For several years I had saved cards for craft projects so there was a nice collection of those I cut cut pictures, signatures and the printed Merry Christmas message or any part I wanted to use. There's no order to this book. I used family Christmas pictures with the cards on each page. I hadn't thought of it this year until this morning. As I looked at each page I could only think of what wonderful memories it brought back for me. Memories of friends and family some who have died and some who move out of your life but never forgotten. The family pictures start with DD#1 and contain lots of pictures of the family at Christmastime . I did shed a tear and then smile at other things as I remembered those days.

GRAMMY There's just nothing that is more emotional than a trip down memory lane. It makes us laugh, cry, wonder and let go of our emotions. In my opinion, the memories mean so much more than they did even 10 years ago. I hope you go to sleep with a big smile on your face tonight.
CJ I bet the kiddo's will sleep well tonight. The fresh air seems to do that.
JUSTME So good to hear all the things you're doing. It saddens my heart to learn of Sue. She is such a sweet, kind person.
MAMMA You got an early Christmas present when you got your GC back!! And thanks for the cookies.
ICOOK I never had insurance for our dogs but they didn't have a lot of health issues until they started aging. I hope Tinker will get relief from the itching etc.
GREENBACK I hope the shoes fit. It's no fun trying to be comfortable when they hurt our feet.
LAURIE It sounds like you've got everything (furbabies,etc.) under control. I'm sure the wreaths are beautiful.
CAROLYN Enjoy the weekend with your cousin. What kind of vacuum do you have? I had a Dyson but my kids insisted it was too heavy for me, so I bought a Sharp. It is lighter but I don't like it as well.
It was a warm day here too and a little windy but not too bad. I think it's supposed to be more windy tomorrow. Tomorrow is Christmas with my side of the family. There will be around 22 of us. DD#1 is hosting it. I'm looking forward to that. I got most of my Christmas shopping done, I think the only thing left is gift cards. I am thinking of making another knotted fleece blanket.
