Good morning
Not too cold this morning.
But of course the heat is on,
Have a visitor my little baby doll,
he is watching cartoons.
Cjay Cookville is almost half way
between Knoxville, and Nashville
that is via of interstate 40.
Cookeville is about 75 miles from me.
Traveling back road. They are in
Middle Tn on central time
I am in East Tn and on eastern time.
Lots of info.
The baby has gone home. I sure enjoy
getting to see him.
Going to have some coffee.
Have extra so come on over.

I finally found a store that has red and green cherries. So I'll be heading to the store sometime today. I've got three kinds of Christmas cookies left to make. I'm hoping to get them all done by the end of the week. The Spritz are the most tedious and I save them for last every year. They are my favorite to eat but least favorite to make.
There is a full clothes hamper that needs attention today or tomorrow. Once the cookies are done the floors will get a good cleaning and scrubbing too. I've either been busy baking or too tired to do anything. I hope to get some zip back sooner than later.
Carolyn, how nice to have the sweet little visitor for even a little while.

It's afternoon! I've been out and back home. It was trying to snow this morning but it looks like the warmer temp has won. It's another drizzly day with no sunshine. The temp is now 37 and not getting much warmer.
Mamma glad you found the cherries for your cookies! They sound like more good ones. There's always work to be done in a house so don't try to do it all in one day.
Carolyn always a sweet treat for a grannie to see her little ones, Hope he got lots of smooches,
DD said I had an appointment with the eye dr this morning at 8:30 so I hurriedly finished my coffee and got dressed. All the while mumbling about this appointment being in Jan. We got to the office on time but they looked and looked then looked again and still couldn't fined me Finally I was found,not today but next week! Looks like we were both wrong! Back home with not much to do but spend time with Kindle

Good Afternoon....
It's a rainy drizzly day here too. No sun shine.
I headed out shopping, again, this morning. It's too hard for me to shop when I have my mom with me. I'm helping her find what she needs and she can't be walking all over the store like I like to do. So I did my shopping today...well, some of it. I still need to go out again, but not today anymore. I'll be getting the boxes ready to ship to both DS's.
Mamma...glad you found the cherries. I'm starting to think about making cookies. First i need to make the ones for the church event. Might do that today and stick them in the freezer.
Carolyn...thanks for the info.
Grammy...appointment times are easy to get mixed up. Usually they will send out a text or something reminding you of an appt. Next week you'll be ready.
The Christmas dinner with my mom on Sunday was really nice. This is the first time they've done it at the club house and it was a hit. The food was delicious and we all had a good time. I even won a couple things from the raffle.
Time to get on the treadmill. Not sure I'll do as much today, but we'll see. My hips were pretty achy last night.
DH is making supper....pork medallions, spaetzle, red cabbage and not sure what else.

A busy day Got a much needed hair cut. Christina went to the store for me while I was getting the hair cut. She always goes to the store while I get my hair cut. I always need something. Right after we got to my apartment Julie(best friend) came She goes to a church near me on Tuesdays so she always stops by.
Grammy No sun here today Only in the 40's today I see the eye Dr. next week. Supposed to be a two hour appt. Don't know what will be done. My cataract surgeries are next month.
Mamma Nice Christmas picture you posted I have three more cookies I want to make. Chocolate Bon Bons, chocolate chip & peanut butter.

The fifth kind of Christmas cookie is done. Two more to do, but not today. The kitchen rugs got full of cookie dough and sprinkles so they are in the washer. I took the dust mop over the work area and that is it for the day. Dishes may wait until later this afternoon, my arms need a break before they start to really hurt. Now a quick bowl of cold cereal and call that lunch. Too tired to make anything else.
This afternoon I'll just sit and rest. Taking Mandy out will be my only afternoon task. Grammy, tomorrow is another day..  You are right.
Next week I can set out a pretty tray of my cookies and enjoy a few now and then. I'm only a couple days ahead of schedule too.
I'll post the recipe that I needed the cherries for. It's from Bluespruce quite a few years back. She sent me some one year and I just loved them. I had to sweet talk her out of the recipe. LOL

Well, it's almost 6:00 PM and I am just coming. I went to coffee this morning and we stayed a little longer than usual I guess. I came home and my neighbor came and asked it I had gotten my mail and I said I didn't think he went yet, but she said he was up the street and I didn't have anything in my box. Come to find out, I had a box, new shoes that I ordered that didn't fit in the box and it was all on the porch. We visited awhile and then I wanted to get a BD card in the mail so too it downtown and then I went to my chair and was going to have a little nap as I had kind of a headache from not sleeping last night! I didn't sleep, but closed my eyes and rested. Time just fly's by.
Not much news here anyway.. Last night I had a call from the pharm. and he said he reviewed my drug plan and I could save money by switching and he gave me the phone # if I wanted to call and change. Then shortly after I saw a post on FB while I was watching the game from my former boss and she is a SHIP volunteer and she was reminding people of the upcoming deadline to change and said she had a couple of free appts. for today, so I messaged her to see when they were and if I could come and check out the one the druggist shared. She called me back and said if your give me the meds that you take I will run it and then call you back. She ended up that she could sign me up over the phone and I will save money and could save even more if I went back to the store I had used up until last summer - I deceided to stay where I was because it's so much handier for me with a drive up pickup window. I like how helpful he has been as well.
Carolyn, what a nice way to start your day with the visit from your little sweetie. Enjoy every minute as they grow us so fast.
Mamma, It's a real cookie factory for you - - glad you found your cherries. I will be anxious to look your receipe over too.
Grammy, how frustrating with the appt. mix up - - - The good thing is that you were a week early and not a week late and missed it!
CJ, how did your shopping go? Hope you had good luck with it and are finding the things on your list. Sometimes thinking of what to get is the hardest part. I didn't have too much trouble with that this year.
IC, nice to get that HC taken care of. Good luck with your up coming eye surgery. You will be happy that you did that too and it's very easy now days.
Debbie, I was thinking of you and Mike yesterday - - The year has had many changes for both of your families.

Jane, I tried to get a nap in this afternoon too cuz I also had a headache and a stiff neck that I woke up with. But never did sleep at least I rested a little. You have such wonderful neighbors.

It was a busy day here too. Bible study then lunch out with most of the Bible study ladies. I didn't get home until 1:00. I did a few little things then took a nap. It felt so good. Tomorrow is loaded, friend will be coming for a quick visit sometime in the a.m. I need to take my car for a winter check up at 10:00, DGD is coming at 12:30 to do my Christmas tree and decorations and DD will be here before 1:00 and we'll go to Ft. Wayne for my appointment with the cardiologist. Whew! I will be glad when tomorrow is over! Thursday is game day and as far as I know, Friday is free....probably laundry day. Saturday is my side of the family Christmas party DD's. Then it'll soon be the start of another week. This month is going so fast!! I still have Christmas shopping to do, wrapping and getting bags for them too.
