Good morning, it's quiet in here~that's why I am whispering. The guest dog who thinks he's a burrito is snoozing next to me. Good time to send a couple of emails and have some coffee. Throws are in the deacon's bench and the mugs are above the coffee maker, help yourself! Got two wreaths together last night, I'll drop them off tonight on my way home. Just need to put the ribbons and baubles on. I was working on them in the garage, the easel is going to work very well. I had also brought in a Rubbermaid patio table to start them on and it'll be so much easier to decorate them hanging up so I can see how tightly to wire things. These two are for an aunt and her best friend, I hope they like them. The Yeti is running a taxi service today. He is going to pick up his nephew at the airport 1 1/2 hour to the west, then bring him back and meet #1 to give him his dog 3 hours south. One of BIL's kids has the flu, so he can't do the airport run-he works in that town-so by default, the Yeti gets to. By the way, we use that Upside app that gives $ back for gas. It only works at certain gas stations, but it's worth it. If you want to know more, let me know, the Yeti told me about it. Tomorrow I have to go for a "big check" picture at the public library. The board I am on has provided a grant and this is the photo for it. I'd planned to stay at the farm tomorrow night, but my plan is now to go to church with Al and drop of the three wreaths that will go there-his, the cemetery, and the neighbor. Anyways, that's the plan here for today, no PJ day or anything, so jeans it is! I don't do the leggings that many do, don't feel like a dress today, so jeans. I've lost a bit more weight, so they will probably need to get replaced after the holidays. Have a good day all, blessed be. As the song goes, "...thank you for being a friend..."

Good Morning....
It's raining and will be all day.
The kids will be here today and we will have to do indoor play time. I have some Christmas crafts for Penny and maybe Teddy can do one, we'll see.
Lauriet...my oh my you are one busy gal. I don't care to be that busy anymore, so I'll just read what you do and be tired from it....LOL I know all the recipients of the wreaths will be grateful and thankful for your hard work.
I found the ribbon I needed at Walmart yesterday, which was much more convenient than going to Joann or Michaels. I make little ornaments for my tree every year with the kids picture on them. I had run out of red for the bow. I'll post a pic when I get Penny's done. Teddy's is on the tree. They are very simple, but I enjoy it.
Have a great day everyone.....

Winter coat, earmuffs, scarf and winter boots kind of morning. Okay, to all of you 48ยบ isn't cold, but it surely is to me. Mandy had on one of her sweatshirts and still made quick work of her business this morning. She is now all curled up in her bed snuggled into her blankie.
Now for a cup of coffee and yes, a Christmas cookie. The cinnamon roll cookies that I made yesterday I goofed up on. I forgot to add 1/2 cup of flour so they got a little flat. No one but me would know. But they sure do taste good anyway. I may make some more later on in the month. I ran out of a few ingredients for cookies, already, so I had to put together a WM delivery order. That's okay, I needed juice too.
I was going to take the day off from baking but decided that thumb print cookies are easy. hehehe After that I have got to let Annie loose on the floors. She will have her work cut out for her.
Laurie,I hope the people that receive the wreaths appreciate them and all the work involved. Way more work that I would do anymore. But you must enjoy making them.
CJ, what a lovely idea to make those ornaments. I hope the project goes very well and the kids have a good inside day today.
Oh my, the coffee and cookies are going down way too well this morning. I better not sit too long this morning or all the cookies will be gone.

Good morning grannies, it's raining again but a little warmer the temp will be in the low 50s this afternoon. Not bad to usher Dec in the door.
Laurie glad the esal is working out to make your wreath work a little easier. Sounds like you make a lot of them for friends and family!I remember that song very well. Many years ago a dear friend gave me music box with that song. The friend died a few years ago but I still have the music box.Special memories for this grannie.
CJ the ornaments sound like sweet memories for you also. Our kids grow up too soon but I don't think we would hold them in one year if we could. It's a fun time to watch them change as they grow up.
Mamma cookies have a way of disappearing here also! Wonder where they could be? The baking gremlins must be out and busy. The rolls I made didn't rise, new yeast took care of the prob.DD made cornmuffins and forgot the baking powder, they were like little rocks and you forget the extra flour.Just be very careful if you make more cookies!
Nothing much happening today I'll just sit here and watch the raindrops fall

It's a "ho-hum" day, dark, dreary and rainy. The temp is 44* and to me that's cold. I have mail in my box but I don't plan to get it until the rain stops. I have laundry and cleaning to do today. All the talk of baking cookies is putting me in the mood. I need to make a list of what I might make. It won't be much as I don't have company to share them with. The kids don't eat a lot of that but I can/will freeze some too.
LAURIE The wreaths will make wonderful gifts for your family and friends.
CJ I'm glad you found the ribbon you wanted. Do you have gifts under the tree and will Penny and Teddy be curious? LOL
MAMMA I'm with you on the "imperfect" cookies. If they taste good to me, they pass my approval. LOL I'm a plain Jane and not picky about appearance of food...it all comes out the same way. :-)
GRAMMY Rainy days can be boring for us! Even if I have no plans, just looking out knowing it's nasty, makes me want to go out. That doesn't make sense, does it. LOL
ICOOK Is Christina's son doing better? Cleaning always waits. I didn't get all of mine done last week so it's in real need this week.

Good Morning Ladies - - - It's chillier than it's been the last couple of days - just 33 but the sun is out, but not real bright, so looks nice at least! Not much planned for the day - maybe a run to the grocery store - I don't need a lot, but the pizza's that I like are on sale and I baked the last one I had last nigh, so will finish that up tonight. I would like to put a few in the freezer again - 3 or 4. That won't be 30.00, so I will need to go in or find something to add to the order. I do want a gift card that I think I will have to in for also, so could get that and have it out of the way too. My cleaning couple were here yesterday afternoon so just mostly talked with them and tried to stay our of the way. Laurie, glad you found the helper to make those wreaths. I know everyone will love having them. Smile nice for the picture. CJ, will be looking forward to seeing your ornaments. They will become even more precious as the kids grow. Mamma, glad you bundled up to keep yourself comfortable. Are you getting use to your new ride now? As long as the cookies taste good, who cares if they are beautiful! I had Kathy check my cupboard for sorghum yesterday, but none there, so guess there won't be any gingersnaps here this year. Jen probably wouldn't eat them anyway, as she has lost 30 lb. and working on more. Dawson would like them, but probably wouldn't be allowed to have more than one or two, so just going to forget them this year. I have discovered I have more trouble putting things in and out of the oven anyway. Grammy, good to hear how well the sewing lessons are going. Will the family be coming to your house now that the deal fell through on the one they were getting? I hope not, that is a lot of extra stress for your family, even though I know you will willing open your doors if necessary. IC, easy does it - it doesn't matter if everything is done in a day - - There is tomorrow to finish up those chores. Debbie, thinking of your family as Mike and the others make your funeral arrangements. I was surprised at the number for the lunch - I would have expected more, with your families and other friends and church people. Hugs. You have certainly had a difficult year.

Ellie, looks like we were trying to get through the door at the same time again. Hope your day will brighten up - rainy days always take the life out of me as well. I hope you have some cookie eaters at the house after all. Will you celebrate Christmas at your house or one of the girls. Have a nice day, everyone!

Patting myself on the back. I may not be putting up Marks pretty icicle lights on the front awning but I just put a string of pretty colored Christmas lights on the porch rail. I tested them and they will go on and off with my Google switch. I won't have to go out to turn them off and on. A big win for me.
The thumb print cookies are done and they turned out quite nice if I do say so myself. Not more cookies today, I'm done for the day. Two more kinds to make and then I am done with Christmas cookies. I may need to make another batch of popcorn balls though.
Elle, I know I'm the only one that will eat or see the Christmas cookies but I am still making all that I always do. Who knows maybe next year I won't be able to. And that would not be a happy time for me at all. No cookies will make it to the freezer either. I'm a huge cookie monster. Actually I only eat cookies with my morning coffee or they wouldn't last a week.
Grammy, I was extra careful measuring this time.
Jane, congratulations Jen on the weight loss. That is just wonderful and hard to do. I do miss the built in oven that we had at the house, no bending at all. I'll never have that luxury again. I just do what I can and limit what I do so I don't hurt to badly.
Wow, I just looked at the clock. No wonder my tummy is growling, it's time for lunch. ttfn

GREENBACK When I was at Aldi's yesterday, I looked at the pizza's and thought, no, not this time. But now after reading your post, I wish I would have picked one up. I like the Flatbread ones. I also like the Mamma Cozi's. I usually add cheese and maybe another topping to them.
CAROLYN I think our rain has stopped but it's still dark and dreary.
MAMMA We do have our habits! I usually have the same old thing everyday for breakfast. But yesterday I did have a Blueberry muffin with coffee and it really was good. The older I get the more I like routine. LOL

Speaking of Pizzas-I like the take and bake from both Walmart and Aldis. We usually add a bit more cheese, but they are yummy. When I went to the Aunt's (Sylvia) to drop off her wreath, she gave me several hugs and really liked it. Totally forgot to take a picture! It had two kinds of ribbons-one had the red farm trucks on it and the other was plaid. She'd given me a bunch of stuff, so I used the ribbons from her, added clusters of red ornaments-matte, shiny or glittery, some red berries and an ornament that looked like the ribbon. That's going to be hard to beat as a favorite. The other was for her friend Diane, Sylvia's son is married to Diane's daughter, but they've also known each other forever. Her's has a plaid bow that has a touch of gold, so she has green shiny balls, a couple of gold ones and some berries too. I should be doing them now, but I need to find some other gloves to wear, my hands dry out so much when I do these and I have poked myself a couple of times. I am doing them by myself again this year.
