Good morning all! There is coffee, help yourselves. It is a glorious 25* out right now, that is almost 20* warmer than a couple of days ago, very unseasonable and very appreciated. I was to be off today, accepted a job, but today and tomorrow and that's it til after the trip. The guest dog-who is going to his house tomorrow, is sleeping next to me. He is somewhat confused thinking he is a burrito. I totally forgot that he has a heated bed/throw thing at his place, that explains the snuggling. Yesterday I dropped a big box of westerns with a cousin who is taking them to her mom's assisted living. I'd gotten them for Al and it was time to pass them on, they've gone on a couple of trips with me already. Tonight is wreath-a-rama. I told them Yeti I wanted to figure out how to make an easel and showed him a table top one I had. He made one yesterday while I was at school, now it'll be easier to do these in the garage. There is coffee, help yourselves, need to get dressed. Blessed be.

This morning Mary and her "kids" were in the pet area. She informed me that the water may be shut off this morning for 4 to 6 hours, due to the road work out front. So when Mandy and I got back home I filled some water jugs and drinking water pitchers. I may have to make my next cookies in the afternoon.....I wash my hands a zillion times when cooking or baking. Mary also mentioned a park meeting. I'll have to go to the mail room more often if I want to know what is happening. The previous manager sent out emails. Which was much more convenient. I'm lucky if I go to the mail room once a week.
This morning I am going to get my flu shot and return the windshield I ordered for my other cart. If I remember I'll put gas in the car too. My least favorite job. At least gas is down this time, usually gas goes up when I need it.
Laurie, good luck with the wreaths this year.

Good Morning....
The sun is shining and warming up the living room as it shines through the window. Biscuit is laying in the sun spot on the couch soaking it up.
I see a spot in the back yard where a deer was laying down last night. Haven't actually seen any in a while now but their foot prints are everywhere in the yard.
I'll be going with DH to visit his mom today and deliver her lunch. After that I want to go to Joann fabrics for, hopefully, some 1/8" ribbon. I looked at Hobby Lobby and Meijer yesterday but none was to be had. I have every color but the one I want. Hoping I find some. Might check Walmart too since it's right on the way to DMIL's. This time of year red is the most used for crafts and such.
Well today is the last day of November. I know December will fly by too. Before we know it, it will be 2024.
Have a great day everyone....

CJ, the new cart will take some getting used to since it has a lot more power. But so far I like it and it is so nice not be concerned about it quitting on me. Mandy seems to like it too

Good Morning Ladies - - - It's nice to see the sun shining so bright! It's 36, but they are going to take a nose dive today. I don't have anywhere I need to be today, so will see what happens. I have the bed stripped and in the washer - most likely ready to be moved to the dryer as my coffee is gone, so guess that means the wash is done too! I am up earlier as the phone got me up, but since it was a gal calling to see if I needed help for the coffee/cookies after the concert, I am not going to complain. She completed what I needed, so that's a done deal, all 18 dozen cookies and 4 gals to serve it. Since this was an evening event, I tried to get some of the gals that are usually working and not able to help other times like the funeral dinners. Laurie, have a good time with doing the wreaths or will you be on your own for this? Nice that the Yeti got your board made, so you can sit doing them. I had a good time watching the Hawkeye's BBB and they really played well together! Mamma, glad you are enjoying your new ride - Bet Mandy feels like the Queen of the court now! Yes, you better go check out what is all happening around you. Might be good to go to the meeting and then you can share some of your concerns. IC, there sure is a lot of sickness in Christine's family - don't over do it, I'm sure it's not that bad as you seem to be cleaning all of the time. CJ, hope you find your ribbon - I also hope you show us your project when you are finished. I wrapped gifts on Tue. - It's amazing what you can get done when you don't have internet. Now I want to get at cards, but I don't want to get it out today, as my cleaning couple are due to come this afternoon. I also have the paper from yesterday to read, as I just glanced at it yesterday.

Good morning It is a bit warmer here, but I have the curtains open and the blinds so the sun can shine through. Helps out a whole lot. I have had breakfast and did the dishes. Tomorrow I will go to the back n the credit union. Want to go to Aldi also. Need to get some more butter. I also vacuumed the living room a little bit. I need to mop my hall and kitchen but that is a very hard job for me. Just wanted to say hello to you all. Take care🥶

Jane, you can bet I'll be at the meeting. There are a lot of things that need to be addressed. I'm not one to make waves, but the things that concern me are important to all. Maybe others will mention them and I won't have to. But I will support. I like to stay invisible here.
IC< I'm sorry to hear you have no help today. How old is Christina's son?
HI Carolyn!!!

Now this is just the craziest thing. Remember how I told you I wasn't able to connect to Facebook and Instagram on my Chromebook? It was just coming up as a blank page. I've been checking it every day to see if it's still being stubborn. Well, I just tried again and both came right up on the screen. What?? I sure hope it stays. I'm afraid to close out of it in fear it won't come back again...LOL

Good morning to all. It is a dreary one here, with rain predicted later today and this evening. We sure do need it.
Yesterday, was a long day for Mike, he met his sister (the only girl along with the three boys) and they found DMIL's instructions/wishes for her funeral service and went to the bank and safe deposit box to get a baseline of how to proceed in these next few days. Mike is the executor and is feeling his way through what he will need to do.
I drove him in and got my nails done and went to the grocery store while they were working on his Mom's things and met them for a late lunch and started working on funeral lunch possibilities while they were in the bank. Our church was surprised when I told them 75-90 people, but with four children, seven grandchildren (all but two married), and 8 great grandchildren, just our immediate family is over 40 people and she has a sister, DBIL and several nieces and nephews that will come in from West Plains, MO, and other parts of the state, so we can't help it!
We have to wait until tomorrow to be able to make the funeral arrangements, so until that is decided we can't really give anybody information or proceed to make lunch arrangements.
Mike just left to go to meet Cori in Jefferson City at the credit union of the employer from which DMIL retired after working for many, many years there. This is all so different from my mom who never worked outside the home, had nothing in the bank or retirement or investments and also had no services. I wish we could have had services for my mom and my dad, too, it just doesn't feel like there is closure with no services.
Before Mike left, we loaded up the side-by-side and I drove it down to the barnlot where I loaded up skids and a bit of lumber and, then, under Mike's direction, set up a manger scene for our outside nativity set using six skids, four stood up and two on top, and I actually used that big ol' heavy post driver of ours (the kind that is completely manual and goes over the top of the post and them you use the two handles to hammer the post as deep as possible into the ground. Whoa, never thought I'd be able to do that, but you do what you got to do. I made Mike feel my arms afterward to see if he could detect any increase in muscle mass--LOL! We got the manger structure all done except for putting a tarp and then some cedar boughs over the top and putting the figures inside. That will have to wait until this afternoon or tomorrow after the funeral home visit. Likely tomorrow, because I am sure he and his sister have several hours of things to work together on today.
Mama, I am glad you are enjoying your new golf cart and you have one on which you can depend.
CJ, congratulations on getting your computer application back--isn't it frustrating/curious how computers work?
Laurie, I am getting excited for you about your trip. I hope you will let me vicariously travel with you!
Jane, I wish you could help organize the funeral dinner for DMIL! I know it would be totally taken care of! Our former pastor's wife is still in charge of funeral dinners at our church and she does a wonderful job, though. She was just very startled about the number we expected--even though it is a very large church and both DMIL and Mike and I are members there and have been for quite some time.
IC Cook, your Christina sure has her challenges; I applaud her for working and caring for her family, too. Is she married?
Carolyn, I need to make a trip to Aldi's, too.
Time to get something done. Thank you all for your kind words; they are very much appreciated.

Still no sunshine, 61º and thankfully very little breeze. I had to turn the heat up I am just too cold.
My flu shot is done and now I'm done with vac's until next year, I hope. The young man that gave me the injection was great, I didn't feel anything but a sensation of the medicine going into my arm. He said he hates needles so is extra careful not to inflict pain. Amazing. Even with my appointment I had to wait half an hour, ad they weren't busy. Geesh, why bother making an appointment. Walk ins got in just after I did and only had to wait for 5 minutes.
Since I was so cold I had the tomato soup for lunch. I'll have left over spaghetti for supper. No, I didn't make the grilled cheese, I was too lazy.
No water yet, so no baking yet. I hope it's not off too much longer.
CJ, I'm happy for you that the Chromebook is working again. I just needed to be threatened with a replacement. LOL

I'm late today. I was ready to start this when dd asked if I wanted to go for a ride with her. Of course I was ready to go. We went to pick up one of the kids from the Litzke, the family who adopted all the disabled kids. They have to move by the week end. They didn't take the house. When inspection revealed lots of things including a roof. They now have weeks in a place. Pray they find a suitable house. After picking up Kera we then went to get my meds. A new pharmacy, who will get my my meds to make all my 90 day prescriptions due at the same time! What a relief that will be to make fewer trips to get them. Home for some lunch then it was time for my sewing student. She is doing very well and we hope to finish the Christmas gift aprons next week. We had a longer session today and she was getting tired so it was time to quit for today.
Time for me to have some rest time before time to eat.
Hi and a hug for everyone today

As you all know we lost everything in our home fire. Today I got a package in the mail from our wonderful son. Inside were some Christmas ornaments that I gave him when he set up his first home. They were ornaments from my parents tree and one was a star that he and I made in Sunday School about 35 years ago. Needless to say my tears ran and soaked my sweatshirt. The most thoughtful gift I have ever gotten. Now I have a few memories on my Christmas tree. My tears have not yet stopped. Tears of joy.
