Good Morning....
It's raining and it's going to be an all day thing.
I think I'll try and get some prep work done on the things I'm going to make for Thanksgiving dinner. I can make the pie crust and have that ready. I can get the oats ground and ready for the rolls. Anything I can do ahead will help a lot.
I have coffee ready, so help yourself with one of my many mugs made by my son. He will have a shop update on Saturday.

Good morning
A brisk ride to the pet area. And Mandy was quick to do her business. She was cold even with her sweatshirt on today. No one for her to play with today again. Just as we were leaving, in the cart, her arch enemy was pulling up behind us to use the area. Mandy isn't the only dog Evie doesn't get along with and she doesn't like many people either. She is just plain nasty and doesn't listen to her owner either. Dave tries hard and has even taken her to classes, but she is just not nice.
Yesterday I washed and put all my Christmas mugs in the cabinet and put the every day ones away. I like mugs with handles that can accommodate all 4 fingers and can hold at least 15 to 16 ounces of coffee. Those are so very hard to find now and I'm happy mine survived the fire. My Christmas ones were the only ones. The Shopko store in MN had the mugs I liked for all holidays and now that store is no more anywhere. Gosh I miss that store. I shopped there a lot, more so than Walmart.
Today I get my nails done and I'm having white sparkly polish put on. I've got some cute nail stickers for Christmas that I want to use and white polish will work best.
I cancelled my appointment with the pain specialist for today. I don't need an injection yet so no need to see him yet. Why pay for an extra doctor visit when one is not needed. Making Christmas cookies will be trying but I think I know my limits now. I do quit a task before my shoulder gets too painful, and I rest before continuing. That has been working well for me. Pain management.
Oh no, I ate my allotment of cookies already. Maybe I can have just one more. hehehe

Hi Mamma....I think one more cookie would be okay. I give the thumbs up. Maybe Shopko is now an online only store. That seems to happen a lot when a store closes, it still does online shopping. Just like Bed, Bath & Beyond closed all stores and now has online shopping only. Same for Dress Barn and many others. Worth a try.

Good Morning Ladies - - - It's a chilly 37, but the sun is shining! Coffee is out today, and we are going to a place we don't usually go to. When I joined the group, we started going to this place when we went out, because the parking was easier for me, but one of the gals said she just wasn't satisfied with it, and wanted to go back downtown. I had nothing to do with choosing the place. I am wondering what the gal that wanted to go back downtown will order - usually it was just toast, and no coffee. Then she would say she had breakfast at home before she came. Now, if you know you are going out, why would you eat at home first? I think it was all about $ and cents, and it wouldn't or shouldn't be a problem for her.
Yesterday I went about getting the rest of the groceries put away - I ended up getting 3 kinds of crackers and some other stuff that go's in the top of the pantry cupboard. It is so deep and high that things get slid to the back and forgotten. I used my cane to bring it all forward and threw what needed to be, and had room again. I wish I could use the back of this cupboard, but it only gets what ends up back there. If I was taller it would help, but not solve the issue. I paid some bills by phone and crushed the pretzels for the salad.. About mid afternoon, I got that fatigue feeling and had to go close my eyes for a bit. Didn't get done all I wanted to and really need to get going when I come home today..

Mamma, glad you are realizing when enough is enough and take a break then. Good timing on being on your way out of the dog park when the other one was coming.

CJ, sadly Shopko isn't on line anymore either. When we were on the road I ordered from them on line. But when the brick and mortar stores closed the online stopped shortly after. Thanks, I did have one more cookie. LOL They are thin and little. I also miss K-Mart stores. Seems the ones I like leave. There are nice stores in town, I just have to get up the courage to go into town. I like to stay here in the foothills, less people and less traffic.

Jane, your friend that would eat before going out reminded me of.......when we went to mom and dads for Christmas and one Christmas day we went to my sister in-laws parents, once was enough. After that we eat first. They were horrible cooks and so was the sister in law. My brothers were better cooks than their wives. But we had to learn, mom worked several jobs. Anyway enjoy your coffee and fellowship today.

Goodmorning grannies, it's another dark and wet day here, temp will be in the low 50s as the rain continues most of the day.
CJ good idea to get a head start on the dinner things. Sounds like the new mixer is getting a lot of work done for you. So glad you like it.
Mamma,do you have any kind of resale store near by such as Goodwill or something such as this? Not much shopping in this little town but there are several of these stores. I have seen lots and lots of coffee mugs there at a very low price. I got my 15oz Mr coffee mug at one. Just take it home and give it a good sanitizing with some bleach.Much better than $$ for one from Wmart! DD and I have a plan to go to one today,I want a nice outside wreath and that's the place to go.Nice Christmas stuff at a better price. I can go toWM if I don't find one there.
Greenback, seems every group has someone who can complain about anything! Just be careful out there!
I'm still working on the Christmas decorations, This has turned out to be more of a job than I can do.I will be happy to see the girls come down later! I've done lots of work but seem to accomplished little! I work 10 minutes and need to sit the next 15 minutes!
Time to get back to work

Grammy, yes, we have a lot of thrift stores here in the foothills. I shop all but Goodwill. But I've yet to see coffee mugs that have both large handles and hold 16 ounces of coffee. I don't like small handles or small cups. Today I plan on stopping at a thrift store for some holiday plates to make my meals feel special.

Mamma I have several of those unused mugs. Wish I could give you some of them. The Christmas dishes are a good idea. I bought a place setting to help me thru Christmas. Just do what you can to get thru these days. Dh died 2 days before Christmas so it's still not an easy time we just have to "do it"

I use an travel mug for me at home - holds 20 oz. and has a lid so I don't spill and it stays hot forever, or as long as I need it too!

Today was busy. Christina took me grocery shopping Store wasn't to busy as I thought it would be. Christina did my floors when we got home Won't see her till next Tuesday That's going to seem like forever.
CJ Nasty weather here Started raining a short while ago.
Grammy I'm like you. I work about 10 minutes & have to rest my back for awhile. Cold weather here today.
Mamma I like the snowman mug.

I just got home again a few minutes ago. It's cloudy, drizzly and in the upper 40's. This a.m. was prayer meeting then I came home for a quick lunch then went to get groceries. I think, "think" I might need just a couple more things then I'll have my TG and Christmas dinner supplies. I hope so. Tomorrow I have a haircut in the morning, then I might do some Christmas shopping. That being most likely all gift cards. I already have several packages here so I do have a descent start on it.

Tammy did a great job on my nails. I wanted white but sparkely. So she put a clear coat on top of the white that glistened beautifully. The Christmas decals that I have look so nice on my nails and they really stick well.
Mandy and I just got back from a tootle around the park. It sure is sparse for the end of November. Then I took some empty containers to the dumpster.
The little blue ornaments came today so I added them to my tree. The tree looks so much better with some color and more balls. And they are the perfect size for the small tree. Like I said, last year we had to settle for what was left in the stores.
Windy again today so Mandy isn't happy with the doors closed. But I don't want all the dirt in the house. I swept off the porch but will need to do it again the end of the week. By then the wind will be way down, I hope.
Time now for my snack, water and a sit in the recliner. I hope I can catch a few z's too. I'm so tired today.
