Good morning. Rise and shine.
It was a brisk walk to the pet area this morning, but not as damp as the last two days. Mary and her two were just leaving as we got there. So it was a pass by good morning, greet and sniff. Now it's time for the second cup of coffee and of course my cookie.
Church this morning and that is about all. Nothing planned for today other than clean the fridge and eat meals. Sunday's are so boring now, I dread the day. Last night I plugged in the golf cart so I'll be rotating the car and cart when I get home from church. Now I ask you, how exciting is that?? I'll need a good nap after all that excitement.
Yesterday I put up the little $tree Christmas tree in here and set it on one of the craft tables. It's the tree we used when we had to stay at the "cabin". And it was set up in here last year for Mark. It looks pretty good with the lights and little decorations. It even has a pretty red skirt. The bigger tree in the living room has a blue hand towel with snowmen as a skirt. Make do with what I have. After Thanksgiving I'll put up the few decorations around the house. I don't feel like celebrating this year, but it is Jesus's birthday.

Good Morning....
It's sunny and bright out there. We went to early service and now home having my coffee.
Today I have a load of laundry to do and get my list for the grocery store. I expect the store will be busy with people getting all they need for Thanksgiving. I should go now or in a few minutes. The afternoon will be worse.
Mamma...what kind of cookies do you have? I'll be needing to make some soon for an event at church and then start my cookie baking for us. Every year I say I'm going to cut back on the kinds & amount of cookies I'll bake, but I still seem to make all of them...LOL I really need to quit eating all the sweets. We are still eating halloween candy. I'm sure it's really hard to decorate this year. My mom still has a hard time and doesn't put much out any more. Just her little table top tree.
Guess I'll get ready to head to the grocery. Have a great day everyone........

CJ, I made my Million Dollar cookies. I've not started on my Christmas cookies yet. I have to have some every day cookies so I stay out of the Christmas cookies until they are all done. And I doubt I will leave out any of my usual cookies for Christmas. Drop cookies are never made for Christmas. Early church was mom and dads fave, it makes the day too long for me and I'm tired all day. hehehe Good luck shopping.

Got my groceries done. Although while in line I remembered something I forgot to put on the list. Not getting out of line for one thing. I'll come back tomorrow. And as I suspected...the store was packed...even at an earlier time. Everyone had the same thing on their mind.
DD is stopping by this afternoon to try and help with my computer problem. She doesn't have a chromebook so not sure she can really help...but she'll give it a shot.
Mamma...I still make a drop cookie and sprinkle red/green sugar on them. Usually chocolate chip as we both love those and I keep them in the freezer along with the other Christmas cookies. They usually last into the end of January.
It has warmed up some and with the sunshine, it feels really nice out there.

It's chilly today but to be expected it is fall Sun is out today. Cleaning day hope to finish today. I'll start getting Christmas things out.
CJ I have a load of laundry to do.
Mamma Delores baked yesterday & gave me a few cookies this morning. Hungarian ones. Christina gave my fridge a good cleaning this past week.

Good Morning Ladies - or it will be if I hurry. I slept in again - don't know what's wrong with me but I can seem to get enough sleep these days, and turned the alarm off and stayed there some more. I did have the church service on here a bit ago. Nice sunshine and 49!
Mamma, you will have lots of cookies, but since you like them so well, it's nice to have a stash! I took a plate of bars out of the freezer that DD sent home with me when we met for lunch awhile back. They are not lasting long, since they are so good and 8 on a plate.
Maybe take a little ride around the park when you have the cart out today.
CJ hope DD can help with your computer issue. They are so frustrating. I think I may take a ride to ALDI's and get some groceries. It's a nice afternoon for a little ride. Would like to stop at the Dollar Tree in that town too, as ours is a combo FD/DT. I haven't been there yet, but have been in one elsewhere and wasn't impressed.
IC, how nice of Delores to bring you some cookies - that seems to be the word of the day - everyone is into cookies right now.

As usual it was church and home for some lunch. Guess who gets the Klutz of the day award! I think it must be grammy! Those new communion cups that hold both elements are hard to open. DSIL {my driver today} was sitting by me and offered to open the juice for me. He handed it back and would you believe I spilled it! My very nice but old white silk/wool blend stole was purple spotted! When I got home dd took it and I thought she was just going to put spray an wash on the spots.No! It's in the washer. I have had it dry cleaned and it still looks very nice. I do hope it comes thru the wash in good shape. I can always take it to a cleaner to have it pressed if needed.
All this chat about cookies makes me want some. DGD has a church friend that hasn at home baking business and cookies are one of her bug sellers. We have bought some and been given some they are so good. A large cookie very thick anda little chewy. The choc chip ones have lots and lots of choc chips in them! Yummy. DGD and family were there for supper Friday so we have a few of them her.Half one makes you want more but a whole makes you wish you had stopped with the half!
It's about time for me to have some rest time

Please, I don't mean to offend anyone. I make cookies all year long but at Christmas the cookies that I make are only made at Christmas time. Drop cookies are just our every day cookies. But not everyone eats cookies the way my family does. Christmas cookies are always more time consuming and a real treat because they are only made once a year. Too much work for every day.  I like all cookies, well almost all. hehehe

MAMMA I have Snickerdoodles, butterscotch chip, and sugar cookies in my freezer. Some given to me, some I made. I'm not a big cookie eater so I freeze them and have them in case someone drops in. I don't bake like I used to.
It's a normal Sunday here, it gets dark so soon now and it feels like bed time. LOL
Thanksgiving week! I hope y'all stay safe and healthy and have a wonderful Day of Thanksgiving.
