There is a dense fog advisory and boy is the fog thick this morning. Everything is dripping with moisture. My butt got a bit wet from the seat on the golf cart. I was going to go back to walking to the pet area in the morning but when I got up my hip did not. So it was a cart morning again.
Second cup of coffee and fresh cookies that I made yesterday, while a load of laundry is taking a trip in the washer. Mandy is down for a nap. She didn't even want her sweater off when we got home. The dampness isn't her friend either I guess.
I'm not holding my breath for Jill to still want to get out of the house and do something today. So I'm going ahead with what I have on my to do list. Even though she has "issues", I'm not going to wait for her anymore. It just upsets me and right now I don't need anything extra. So I'm going to enjoy my day with or without her company.
Yesterday afternoon Jill came over to show me something. I have a patio table in front of the french door because no one is to use that. She knows that too. But in she comes in moving the chair and table, saying "well Mandy went through that door". Good grief Mandy goes under the table. As long as she has known me, we don't use that door. It bangs into the tv and plants inside. I was not happy and told her not to do that again. Geesh, she was really off yesterday. Sorry if I sound mean, but really?
Mike really cranked up the hot water heater yesterday. Now I need to mix cold water with the hot. That made for a nice hot shower and I didn't run out of hot water this time. Mixing hot and cold makes the hot water in the tank last longer cuz I don't use as much. And it's nice having warm water in the washer too. And not just cold. Before this it took a long time to get greasy pans clean.
Time to make the bed and see what is on my list.

Good Morning...
It was another beautiful day, yesterday. We had the kids and it was a full day of playing. Penny loves to play Barbies. I get to be Ken and we drive around in Barbie's Corvette...LOL Teddy tries to get in on the action but she doesn't want him with us...so she goes and gets grandpa to play with Teddy.
The wind is blowing today and its raining right now. I see the leaves flying in the wind...the last of them trying to hang on.
Not much happening today. I think I'll mop the bathroom and kitchen floors. Maybe get the Christmas decor out and put in the spare room downstairs till I'm ready to put the little tree up and the few other things I put out. That will probably be done the week after Thanksgiving.
Well, my computer has done a weird thing. I use a Chromebook for most my daily computing. I have a desk top down stairs and my phone. Well....the other day my Facebook and Instagram won't load on the Chromebook. It's just a blank page with the logo up at the top. Nothing to click on to try and open it. And typing it in the search bar doesn't do anything either. I'm at a total loss as to what is going on. It still works on my phone and desk top but not the Chromebook. Geez this is frustrating. DH has no clue either and doesn't seem to want to try and help. Anyone out there have any suggestions?
Mamma...sorry Jill is not being more social with you. I agree, you just need to go do what you want and not wait for her.
Lauriet...hope you are starting to feel better by now.
Have a great day everyone........

Good Morning Ladies - - - Nice sunshine, but a far cry from yesterdays temps - just 34 now. I was cold with the wind yesterday, even though it was 60. Had a nice day for a road trip, even though it was windy and a good visit. Now we will be done gathering until April unless I go down an met with the one that lives there. The gal I picked up will be leaving for Tx. after TG. I had a good old cheeseburger and steak fries. It was a good choice for the day. Mamma, be careful with that hot water and don't forget about adding the cold to get right. You could have a nasty burn if you forget some time. O, fresh cookies, enjoy - - - hope the fog burns off and that Jill will surprise you and be ready to do something. CJ, how funny, Penny getting grandpa to get Teddy out of your hair. I have high hopes of getting my Christmas things out and up when the kids are here TG night.

Goodmorning grannies, it's another wet day with rain staying around all day. Temp is 55 but the rain makes it feel so cold and wet.
Mamma Yea, good decision! Go ahead with your plans for the day no need for you to stay at home if you want to go someplace! It's good time to walk around to just look at all the Christmas stuff. I'm not driving anymore so I usually feel I need to hurry thru a store. I've had my nice hot shower for the morning
CJ aren't those grandkids fun? Love them, spoil them and send them home. Then get ready to see them again. Greenback nothing better than a good old cheeseburger and fries with a friend across the table! How good is that!
Room service arrived with my breakfast this morning. It was a egg McMuffin well not a real one but a copycat version and it was good! An appointment with the eye Dr this afternoon, this is for the glaucoma. That's my busy day. Everyone will be gone this evening so I might make more rolls ?
The Pumpkin Crunch is posted in our recipes. Google has lots of variations you might want to check them out if you have never tried it.

CJ, I got a good chuckle reading that Penny gets your DH so she can play without Teddy. LOL That was just so darn cute. It's not that Jill is unsocial towards me, she is just in her own world most of the time and forgets that she is not the only one in the world. Very nice, but has so many issues. I need to be more tolerant. Mark had a Chromebook for awhile and got tired of fighting and just tossed it in a drawer. I had forgotten about it until he passed and Lincoln found it. hehehe Neither of us wanted it. I'm an iMac/apple person as is Lincoln when it comes to computer things. Never for a cell phone though. Good luck my friend.
Jane, I'm happy to hear you had a good time yesterday and that your burger and fries were a good choice. I'm hoping to get together, after Thanksgiving, with Lynda and Debbie. They are so much fun and they love to eat out too. It always an all day thing with them.
Grammy, how nice to have breakfast delivered. Mmmm, an egg McMuffin home made is the best too yet. Thanks, I'm done waiting on Jill to follow through. She needs to want to change but I'm still going to try and help anyway I can.
Well, two loads are done washing. It's too damp to hang anything outside so I've got line dry items hanging on a clothes rack here in the craft room. Oh joy more humidity in the house. LOL Time now to check and see the salt supply in the softener and then on to more to do.........

Good morning to all. It is cooler here this morning, but I got warmed up walking. I got most everything on my to-do list for yesterday done and for that I am thankful. Today is getting ready for the weekend. Eli has his first basketball game of the season tonight at his school (go, Eagles #45!) and then we have family pictures scheduled for 7:15 a.m. tomorrow morning--outside! This is my Mother's Day present and the photographer is fully booked and this was the only appointment we could get. So, we are going to stay overnight at #1's after the game rather than drive the over an hour back home only to get up very early and go back down. Pictures will be at some property #1 and family own near a river bridge and with a gravel road; we are thinking that will be a good backdrop. Now to figure out what to wear so we all coordinate. #2 is in Nashville, driving back this evening, so I am picking up a Target online order for her of things for her 3 to wear and delivering it to her tomorrow morning. I see chaos in my future tomorrow morning! We all plan to go to breakfast afterward and then Trinity has two basketball games and Drew has two basketball games, both playing in different towns at approximately the same time so I will likely go with DD#1 to Trinity's games and Mike to DSIL#1 to Drew's games. I may offer to take #2's two girls with me to Trinity's games. Amelia and Josie Mae just love Trinity, they play so well together, and Amelia is now signed up to play basketball and would likely want to see Trinity play. You can tell Trinity has two older brothers and has been to lots of basketball games--she fights for that ball!
CJ, love how those grands can manipulate us grandparents! Ours are experts at it, but we wouldn't have it any other way. GrammyOH, I agree, enjoy them, send them home, then anticipate them coming again!
Thankfully, we don't have anything other than church planned for Sunday and I will be glad when we get home Saturday night, but so thankful that Mike is up for taking pictures; he is doing so well, and that our family can have pictures taken together.
Wishing all a great weekend!

It is in the 60’s and I have my doors open. Feels good. Yesterday was a busy day. I ended up giving 3 ladies a ride to the lunch at Cracker Barrel. Afterward we went to Walmart. I needed a birthday gift for my cousins party tomorrow. I bought him some Black Rifle coffee. And, they had honeysuckle turkeys on sale for .48 cents a pound. I bought 3. Gave one to my granddaughter. She is cooking Thanksgiving for someone who works for her who just lost his mom. The other 2 will be for whoever wants or needs them. I have not cooked thanksgiving dinner in a long time. My kids next door cook so I eat with them. I do contribute a little. I had already bought the turkey for this years dinner. They have the ham already. And, I give my daughter in law some $$. And, I do make cornbread dressing. Today I have done laundry and made a peach cobbler for tomorrow’s party. Time is moving on so fast. 🎶🎶 My little Elijah just starting trying to crawl a couple weeks ago. Now, he is crawling good and heads for the outside when the door is open. He will be walking soon. I am enjoying the nice days, winter is probably around the corner. Cute about Penny. Thee little ones have a mind of their own .P.S please remember my son in law in your prayers. He was in a car accident. It totaled his car, got cuts on his head n chipped his shoulder bone. A big truck pulled in front of him.

The popcorn balls are done!!!! My arms are not happy with the fast repetitive movements and my hands are red as a beet from the hot syrup poured onto the popcorn. This year I put the popcorn in the roaster as usual, but kept it and the roaster warm in the oven. Less stuck to the pan as I formed the balls, so I was very happy with my new tactic. The recipe made 15 popcorn balls. Enough to last me 7 or 15 days. It all depends on out of sight out of mind. LOL I love love my popcorn balls. The recipe is handed down from my great grandmother. I do know, once my arm and hands recover, I'll make another batch before this one is gone. Popcorn is my favorite snack.
The dampness lessened so I have the line dry clothes on the lines on the porch. Mandy is keeping an eye on everything on the porch and in the neighborhood. That is, in between naps. She does love being outside. And I can't blame her after being trapped inside all summer.
I've not heard anything from Jill and I'm not calling her either. She is the one that made the Friday date. I still have to dust mop the floors and then it will be time to take Mandy out. No more work today. So far it's been a good day. No tears, just hot hands.
Wow Carolyn, that was a great price on the turkeys. Not that cheap down here. But then I don't need one this year either. Very nice of you to share your good deal.
