Good Morning....
It's looking like a nice sunny day is in store for us. So pretty out there right now.
The kids will be here today. I made new play dough, so Penny will be happy. Pink and purple were her requests...and I made orange, too. I'm sure we'll play Cootie and lots of outside time. She loves spinning on the tire swing...just like her mom did when she was little.
Not much news yet. I wanted to get the coffee ready for everyone. I have a plate of donut holes and chocolate chip cookies to go with.
Have a great day...........

Good morning dear friends. A chilly/cold 51º this morning. I was dressed warmly but should have put on Mandy's sweater. She didn't want to stay long in the pet area today even though she and Yoda were playing today. So I know she was cold. Naughty mamma.
CJ, thanks for the coffee and goodies. You know how I love cookies! And of course who doesn't like doughnut holes. Have fun with the kiddos today, you have some really fun activities planed for them.
This morning I have a huge WM grocery order coming. I ordered some things for baking and I was out of single meals for me too. This afternoon Jill is coming over to help me get the tote down that has my Christmas decorations. I've got to come up with a better place to store them. It's too hard to get the totes up and down safely by myself. At one time I had all the totes stacked on the floor. But that area now has a work table. If I put the totes under there there is no room for me feet or legs. I'll have to put on my organizational cap on and do some serious thinking.
Next week I'll put up the Christmas tree which is a week early for me. I've been so depressed lately that I'm hoping the pretty lights will lighten the mood. Not sure it will work or make it worse. Not a good time of year for me this year. I doubt it ever will be.
Another windy day but I'm going to try and sweep the porch off at least a little bit. Mandy likes to sit on the porch and it's really full of the desert right now.
Ell making a fist didn't cause my carpal tunnel, but bending my wrists while I slept added to the problem. Now I just cause my art to get angry. LOL
My blood pressure has been too high so I've upped my BP meds. I'm sure it's due to the tax issues and upcoming holidays that are contributing to the problem if not causing it completely. I need to learn how to relax more often and let God handle it all. He really doesn't need my help. Relax has never been in my vocabulary. I have no idea what it means. hehehe
Sorry this is a book. I'll shorten things up next time. Love to all.

Hello, I'll take my coffee and will be sitting over here to keep my cooties to myself. I have a whopper of a cold, I took a Covid test just to rule that out~~negative. Of course, this is when I have four extra people in the house. They went out hunting and the Yeti has to take his mom to the dr. My mantra there is, "if you'd listen to what the dr says (not just your nurse daughter) when the dr is the one who is doing your care." There, I said it. I know she is being proactive, but when they put her on the phone when they are IN the dr's office, that shows you have no faith in the dr.
It snowed off and on starting yesterday, through the night and is still coming down, just fluffy stuff. It's not really accumulating, but it is out there. When one of my guests wants to, we will be going to the Amish store as I have a short list for there and some stuff at Aldi's if the Yeti goes there.
I got on a scale at school yesterday, still good results, I want to keep it going that way. My jeans are not fitting well, but I don't want to buy more until I lose a bit more.
The neighbor's son's dog must be over for the weekend. #1's dogs are either hearing it or seeing it through the windows and barking. When the Yeti leaves, our dogs are going into the kennel, I don't want them running loose during hunting season when we aren't outside. I took the day off and plan to be somewhat of a slug. Today's hunters said they'd be happy to get deer today and be done. BIL and his two boys haven't gotten anything yet, but only went out once, so that's understandable.
I need to make coffee or heat some cider up, BBL. Blessed be.

Good morning grannies, it's a lovely sunny morning with temp again heading for the low 6o
CJ thanks for the dough nut holes yumm to start the morning; Sounds like you are ready for some fun with the kids today.
Mamma so sorry you are having a rough time. Many of us understand since we've been there. I believe the first year is the toughest one as we remember those special days. Don't let yourself slip into too much depression. God left you here for a reason. Give yourself a good kick in the rear and make your own joy. Something you like to do or watch something happy onTV. Circumstances won't change but your attitude can help you thru these depressing times. Remember you are not going thru this time alone, many of us have experienced those feelings. Prayers for you as you face this Holiday time. Laurie enjoy your time off from school. But I'm sure you will ignore that and stay really busy doing things for others!
The Dr visit yesterday, was a good one, especially when he said see you in a year! The dinner of shrimp was a great meal at a fancy Chinese place. Yuuummm so good. Then we did a little shopping at Macy's where I found 3 sweaters that I liked and got all three of them. My sweaters are sooooo old. When Sorya admired one I told her it was older than her and she is 15!

Good Morning Ladies - - - It's cooler here today, just 37 now and cloudy - almost need the light on. I don't need to be anywhere today, and hope to work on getting the spare room back to some kind of order! I'm not sure if there is mail today or not. Some places are celebrating Veterans Day today and some tomorrow. Thankful for all who served and gave so much! CJ, a great start to the day with coffee, donut holes and cookies - and most important, conversation with friends - Thank You. Mamma, sounds chilly for you too - - - You are getting ready for Christmas with the baking supplies and decorations. I don't know your house, but I had a thought for your tubs, but not sure if it would work for you. Do you have any extra space by your bed, or do you have a nightstand? If not, and there would be room, you could put one or two there, cover with a towel or cloth and use them for night stands. Again, I don't know your room, so this may or may not be a helpful idea. Grammy had some good advice for you with the upcoming holidays. I also want to add that you have to do a little attitude adjustment as well - I know it's hard, but some of the best advice I have ever heard is that you can be just as miserable as you choose to be. That sounds cruel at first, but the more you think of it, the better advice it is. My first Christmas without DH came in about a month, and I think I may have been still numb or at least somewhat, but I tried to make it a good Christmas for the kids as they also lost a Dad. Laurie, glad the test came out good and hope you get to feeling better with your company in house. Hope you will be able to enjoy them. Laying low today sounds like a good idea and get all the rest that you can. My arm is sore today, but that's all after my RSV shot yesterday. Debbie glad Mike was able to part company with his attachment - That alone, will make him feel better. It's good that he realizes he needs to take it easy for awhile yet!

Good afternoon, it's a bright sunny day and 56*. The sun always make things brighter and cheerier for me. Yesterday was game day, again, lot's of laughing and silliness but fun time with friends. Today is cleaning day and I plan to do a load of laundry too. DD will pick up sandwiches and come later this afternoon. DD#2 called earlier so it's time to get some work done here.
CJ I admire your talent, craftiness! I never made playdough but I know there's a recipe for it. Enjoy the kiddo's and thanks for the donut holes and coffee.
MAMMA The pictures you've shared of your home seem to make it look organized. I think you are very creative and make the most out of the space you have. I could use some of your expertise with my organization. I really could!! Grammy and Greenback have been "alone" longer than me, but I will add that it will never be the same. But I count my blessings, and each day, holiday is a new one. The tears still come and that's ok, they do ease the stress for me. Hugs and caring prayers for you.
LAURIE Those 'cooties' need to leave you alone. I hope you feel better soon.
GRAMMY Great find for the sweaters at Macy's. And really! can Soraya be 15 already? And such a sweet young woman she is. Time goes so fast. Take care and enjoy the sunshine today.
GREENBACK I think there will be mail today. At least I got an email notice telling me there's mail in my box. I'll go out and check in a few minutes. It seems there's alway a "room" that needs organizing and some TLC. At least I have it and a closet or two also. LOL

Good afternoon, friends. A beauty of a day here. But, I noticed on my walk this morning that the trees are really shedding their leaves--and those leaves are brown, now.
We slept in this morning, just relief from stress, I think. So, it was 7:15 before either of us got up. Mike started working up apples while I walked and I joined in on that fun when I got back. We added the sauce we had cooked up on Wednesday that I had put in the downstairs fridge and had quite a large pot of applesauce. The last three jars are in the canner right now and we will have done 24 pints today. I have been working on closets and drawers in between canning batches and also used up three overripe bananas on the counter by making jumbo banana/caramel/walnut muffins. Six went into the freezer for Christmas time and one will be my breakfast tomorrow morning--got to QC them, you know!
Someone is on their way to look at the recliner we have for sale. That would be nice to sell and get it out of the way in the basement family room.
Supper will be leftover meatloaf, macaroni salad and steamed broccoli. I didn't have time to make anything else today!
Mike is so happy to be "untethered" and things seem to have started working as they should, although slowly. When I leave the house, even for my walk, I tell him "don't do stupid s--t!
I plan on going to a craft show tomorrow in #1's hometown and will drop Mike off at #1's house to hang out with Eli. He is going to oversee Eli draining fuel out of his race car and everything else it takes to get it ready for the winter. Hopefully, those two won't get into trouble together! The rest of #1's family will be at two basketball games for Drew and then two for Trinity, but I don't think Mike could do steps or bleacher seats for that length of time yet.
Laurie, hope you are feeling better; rough to have company and not feel well.
CJ, I know Penny, and likely Teddy, too, loved the new playdough!
Mama, if you learn how to relax, will you please let me in on your secret?!l
Grammy, hallelujah for the good news on the doctor's appointment. I would love it if we lived closer and I know your Soraya could be a good influence on our 15-year-old Eli who does not like school!
Jane, we got mail today, but my DD who works for the state is off today for the holiday. DD#1, the banker, will have their facility closed tomorrow and are open today--I'm sure you are familiar with "bankers' hours"!
Elle, since it is cleaning day for you, would you please come and dust for me? I have put it off all week because I would rather get my drawers and closets cleaned out--I've been pretty ruthless and on a tangent with that. I have made progress, but have lots left to do, including most of my closet! I've been working in our master bath linen closet and drawers today. Mike has six drawers and I have six drawers, then a big double floor-to-ceiling linen closet in between our sinks and then I have all my vanity drawers so it is going to take a while! Heavy trash bags have been going to the trash cart that we share with the neighbors across the road--and I am carrying them because Mike can't. But, I have been enjoying the purge and organization--much more than I will the dusting, but it sure needs done!
Carolyn, I'm here! We are here to keep you from feeling lonely.
IC Cook, enjoy your lazy day!
Last three pints just finished and one of them already sealed! Time to finish straightening up the kitchen, hopefully sell the recliner, then get supper on, cleaned up and maybe then I can sit for a spell! Wishing all a wonderful evening.

DJ I'm sure Mike is feeling "free" after getting rid of the attachment. It sounds like he's going to be doing all he was very soon. And the two of you are so involved in your DGC. What a legacy!!! Dusting? that was DH's job but now it's mine. Honestly, he was more thorough and particular than I am. That's my least favorite job, other than the shower and bathtub. But, I'll do your dusting if you come and organize/pitch things in my closets, drawers and cupboards. LOL. Thinking good thoughts for continued good health etc. for the two of you. I hope the chair sells too.
ICOOK When DD left tonight, she said she's going to try and get her tree up this weekend. Maybe a bit early in my opinion but I know some who have theirs up. Stay warm.
CAROLYN There's something about the holidays that seem to bring a lot of different feelings. I hope you'll get happy thoughts soon. Hugs
