'Morning! I can't tell if it is good or not, just became vertical. I'm in 2nd grade today, nice class, I really like this teacher's set up. She requested me, so that's good. Tomorrow I am off! Looking at my to-do list, that is good. I may or may not get the lights out on the deck this weekend. If so, the patio furniture will get put to its place for the winter. We have two more coming in tonight for hunting season, one to hunt and one to visit with me. I see that one of SIL's (from Florida) daughter and family are coming for a week and a few weeks later, same SIL's son is coming too. They're all staying with the IL's. In a perfect world, the niece would help MIL with her holiday baking that she does this time of the year. In fact, she could help her with holiday decorating too, I've done it the last few years and not sure when I will get to this time.
Tonight will be a rhubarb festival, I have to get it out of the fridge and it has to be done. Then, I was informed that I need to get the other fruit out of the freezers for (hopefully coming) venison. So, when a certain elusive, occasionally photographed, Yeti takes his mother to the dr tomorrow, I do believe he'll need to get sugar too. I'll check after I am dressed. We are in a 40% chance of puffed rain when I get on the road and also it is to be cold and windy, since today is "my Friday" jeans it is!!!!
Wanda, do they have you adjusting your calcium intake? I've only 1/2 a thyroid, but paras are ok, so I'm not too up on that. This morning I did wake up to numb hands, I know I curl them under my chin when I sleep. I suppose I'll need to bring that up when I go for my yearly exam. I probably have carpal tunnel too, ugh! My brother's procedure didn't happen. The dr came in and asked if he'd had a sleep study yet, no-couldn't get him in until January-now he has one on Monday, this dr has some clout! He seems to think this can be dealt with other ways, so they are going to get on this now vs a surgical procedure. You'd think they'd have looked at this prior to the day of the scheduled event. He was there at 9:30 and at 2:00 still hadn't gone in-all gowned up, no food or water, IVs, the whole shebang. It was delayed initially due to something with a procedure before his on someone else, yikes! He was glad, but frustrated at the lack of communication too. They also asked about his diabetes-which no one has discussed with him. The Yeti is moving around here pretty gingerly, I think he overdid it yesterday.
Better find some clothes, blessed be all.

Good morning Laurie, I used to sleep with my hands curled under my head and that did contribute to my carpal Tunnel. I had the surgery on my right hand. Ugh. What a challenge that created. Now I sleep with my hands in fists and wake up with sore arthritis hands. But I am getting better with keeping my hands open since I wake up every two hours to roll over.
A chilly 52ยบ this morning and the sun wasn't quite fully awake when Mandy went to the pet area. Mary and her two, Bill and his one, were there so we had a nice visit. Today the dogs totally ignored each other. LOL
Mandy to the groomer this morning and then I'll get the floors cleaned and wash her blankies. That will be all I am able to do in one day. And since the floors are so bad I'll be hurting a tad from the work. Nothing new there. LOL
Still no side affects of any kind from my booster. In fact I had forgotten all about it until someone mentioned getting one. LOL I'm very fortunate that I have never had problems from any injections.
Windy again today so no doors or windows will be open. I just hope I can get the floors done before hand, the rugs need to be shaken out.

Good morning grannies, it's another dark and dreary morning. Temp is heading for near 60 this afternoon.
Laurie hope your DB's problem can be taken care of without surgery. I'm sure he was ready for some food! Maybe someone should just point out that MIL could use some help Some people just don't see things that need to be done. We have one of those in this house but when asked h.e is very willing to help. Most of us were taught to offer to help and some wait to be asked. Brr sure sounds like winter in MN! We don't get snow till Dec and usually not much too Jan...
Mamma, I need to get my covid shot! My Dr says 4 weeks between shots. Even the don't agree on this!A chilly morning for you and Mandy to be out early this morning. She will be so happy and look so good.
Just the late afternoon Dr appt then a little shopping at Macy's. I would like to find a couple of new sweaters. Mine are so old and tired! I saw lots of sweaters on line at Macy's I don't like to order things I want to try it on,touch, feel it and see it before I buy it. After the shopping it will be time to find someplace for supper. Hope it isn't Chick Fil A. That's one of DDs favorites. It's OK but I like to sit down and have someone bring it to me.
Oh,the sewing lesson will get done before I have to leave. She is doing well and I want to keep her interested

The sun is out and it's 51*. I think the clouds will be competing with the sun as the day goes on. But right now, it's a beautiful day. It's game day so that will take care of my afternoon. And by the time I get home, it'll be getting dark. That means the jams go on earlier. LOL
LAURIE Easy does it! I don't know how you done all you do. You're strong!
MAMMA I also sleep with my hands under the pillow, closed. I had no idea that might contribute to c/p. So far, I haven't had any problems but I need to pay attention as I don't want to get it either. A nice quiet a.m with Mandy was nice. Dogs are so funny.
GRAMMY Maybe that "made for you" sweater will be waiting for you at Macy's. I also like to see and feel my purchase so I do very little if any, ordering clothes online. My girls do but they seem to be ok with it. Your little seamstress seems to be doing well. I have a feeling your loving attitude, patience etc. has something (a lot) to do with it.

Good Morning....
It's a sunny day today. Looks very pretty out there. Temp will maybe hit 50 and a little cooler for the weekend, but then a warm up for next week...mid 50's to maybe 60.
DH is cleaning out the gutters which isn't his favorite thing to do, but needs doing. Last night we had a thunder shower with lightening. I was surprised when I saw the lightening...didn't know that was to happen. Got a good amount of rain too.
I go see my eye dr this afternoon that did the cataract surgery a year ago, for a checkup. I'm sure I'll get a new prescription to take to the optometrist. I'm thinking of trying the progressive lenses this time.
Last night DH decided he wanted to try out the new mexican restaurant in town. It's been open around 3 weeks now. Has gotten good reviews. We really liked it and will definitely be going back.
Not too much happening....so I'll wish everyone a great day.........

Good Morning Ladies -- - - It's sunny, windy and 46 - - Not bad for Nov. 9, but I guess it's going to be getting colder. Today I am getting my RSV shot and then take my auction items up to the fantasy - should have the trees all up by now - Hard to believe it's opening night tomorrow. I talked to the gal from the hospital yesterday and found out they are short on help, so I offered to come if they needed me. I will be helping out on Sun. & Mon. afternoon's. Laurie, what a mix up with Jim. A shame to have a diabetic with out food for that long for no good reason, except poor planning. Hope you drop the hint to help MIL with baking & Decorating - sometimes you just have to be blunt, hints don't always work. Mamma, funny that the dogs didn't want to play with each other. I'm sure she will come home looking and smelling wonderful from her spa date. Grammy, Hope you find what you are looking for. Macy's isn't in LaCrosse anymore, so I would have to go to Rochester to shop or make a return there - needless to say, I don't order there often, but have. Hope you find a nice place to eat - I'm not sure what the big draw to Chick o Filet is, but seems like lots are impressed. I am more of a burger person than chicken sandwich person though. Ellie, I am often leary of getting in my jammies to soon. I don't have much company in the evening, but that is just about the time to doorbell would ring. CJ, nice to find a new place and to be impressed. Good Deal!

So funny. Mandy got a nice haircut but they left her tail. So she has a fuzzy tail to go with the trim body fur. It looks comical. Not sure what they were or weren't thinking. But I'll make sure to mention, NO fuzzy tail. next time we go. She is not a fox. hehehe
The floors all got cleaned and scrubbed and I even got the rugs shook out pretty well. That's hard on the arm, but my vacuum sucks the rugs right up off the floor, so that doesn't work. The floors were even worse than I thought they were. Annie just couldn't do it all, so she needed some extra help with emptying the sand from her tummy. She will empty when full but the sand doesn't register like fuzzies too. And I had to brush out her filter twice. I'm ashamed at how dirty the floors were. That darn wind makes so much work for me inside and out. But still beats snow removal.
Jane I don't know what the big deal is about Chick Fil A either. We ate there once, hardly got any food and it was so overpriced it was a crime. We never went back. In fact when we left there we stopped somewhere else to fill our stomachs. Talk about a doubly expensive meal.
My sister in law and hubby sent me a check for my birthday and said to do something special. Huh, like what? I'll save it for summer and then go to Red Lobster. I don't care if I eat alone there. LOL Right now is no time to go anywhere to eat. Too many extra people and I don't like waiting in line for anything. Not even crab legs. LOL
Coming home from the groomer was quite a challenge for my little car. That wind is so terribly strong. I really had to hold on to the steering wheel to stay on the road. Even the RV's are moving slowly. I'll bet their arms will really be sore by the time they get to where they are going.
Time to tackle lunch dishes, dusting and gather some more paper work for the CPA.

No sun here today. Christina came. She is feeling better for the moment. She cleaned & went to the drug store to pick up my meds. There were five this time.
CJ I wear progressive glasses. Been wearing them for years. I like them I get shaded glasses too.
Elle My night clothes are on early too. I take Tinker out around five. Night clothes go on when I come in.
Grammy I got my flu shot on Tuesday. Didn't get the Covid shot yet.
Jane I mentioned the RSV shot at my appt. She said it was mostly for children, so won't be getting that one.
Mamma Don't think I would like living where you do. To much cleaning. for me.

Good afternoon to all. A much chillier day than we have been having here today. Kind of cloudy, too.
We made the trip to Columbia today for Mike to checked by the doctor's nurse and to have his "attachment" removed. Just the ride up there caused some bleeding, which was a sobering reminder that he still has a lot of healing to do and needs to continue to take it easy. But, he is so very, very glad to be free of that "attachment." He can't wait to sleep as he normally does tonight. Now, to just make sure everything works on its own!
I missed my morning walk because of the doctor appointment, and intended to do it when we got home, but a notification in the mail about Mike's Medicare signup via his company's retirement plan showed a big discrepancy and he stood by to offer authorization when needed as I tried my best for well over an hour to get that straightened out. No resolution yet, they have started at ticket and we should have a message in 3-5 business days! So frustrating and such a waste of time when I could have gotten my walk in or a lot more done than communicating with numerous people over the phone and being in voice mail hell for much of the time! Then, our investment guy called about our plans for the coming year (we don't know yet) and then DD#2 called, so I gave up on the walk or getting much at all done today.
Hope everyone is doing well and sorry to hear about the frustration with your brother, Laurie! Good grief!
