WooHoo, two pages yesterday!
'Mornin' all! There is coffee, help yourselves. I've got to get dressed soon, it's nice that it is not so dark on the drive in since daylight savings time started, but dang-it's dark early. Can't have it all.
Wanda, probably a couple of doz cookies, depends how big you make them. Don't try to use a scoop-too sticky, just use two spoons. 350*. I cook them about ten minutes, since I do the lemon ones usually, you don't want them to really brown, try the lemon ones first and it'll be a good judge of time for them. The spice ones and carrot ones are good too. They'd be good on a cookie plate if you were looking for an extra color or flavor.
Two more days this week, I woke up thinking of my incredibly long to-do list, so instead I am sitting in the dark drinking coffee. If I make too much noise, I'll wake the puppers in #1's room, that'll wake them up, then everyone will wake up and I'll need to wear something besides my white pj paints with lipstick prints on them and a shirt that says love. The leggings things to school is out of my comfort zone, but jeans are ok, so that's what it'll be. I got home about 7:30 last night, the regalia fashion show was not great, could've skipped it. They did feed us though, so that was good. As I was driving out here all I could think was 12 hrs and I'll be back on this road. Best get to it. Thanks for the thoughts for Jim, they feel it'll be a very textbook procedure and his wife is going to text me when it is completed.

Good Morning...
I think it will be a gray day today with rain moving in around noon. Still have a few things to put away on the patio then we'll need to organize the garage to make everything fit. Seems every year we have another thing to add to the garage over the winter. Pretty soon we won't have room for our cars.
Not sure what I'll do today. First I need to think about supper so I can get what I need out of the freezer and make a plan. Leaning toward chicken quesadillas. The mini apple crisp I made yesterday turned out good and enough for tonight.
Well the weather people were wrong...rain has already started and goes to early afternoon. I guess that puts a delay on the outdoor work.
Debbie...hope you and Mike had a good night and that he'll be feeling better every day.

Good morning
Another morning that Mandy and I took the cart. With more people here, and too many that don't keep their dogs tethered, I feel safer taking the cart vs walking. PTL the cart has been running good.
The floors are filthy and in dire need of a good mamma cleaning and not just Annie and a lick and a promise. Today is suppose to be terribly windy so the floors may have to wait until tomorrow. Unless I can get at them soon. But coffee is more important than any floor. LOL The next few days are suppose to be cooler so it'a good time to get some work done. Next week I'll tackle the cabinets on the porch and start pricing. I don't know when the porch sale is but I want to be ready.
Laurie, do you remember when, one year, MN stayed on DLST? It was so dark in the morning that some school kids got hit by cars. That was the last year they tried that. I hated driving to the school that year.
CJ, good luck getting everything in the garage for winter. I remember those times, lots of work.
One more cup of coffee and then make the bed and see what is next.

Good Morning Ladies - - it's gray and gloomy here and they are saying high winds, but that isn't happening now, so must have that to look forward to - - I go to the DR. this afternoon and see what she thinks after I have been on the new med. I picked up my coffee to have the first sip of the second cup, and it went down the front of me - - It's hot, to say the least, and good that I caught it before much came out - I thought I had the lid on tight, but not so.
Laurie, I can imagine the teachers here being able to wear jeans, but it's been a long time since I have been to the schools, and, especially where you live, I think it's a good idea. You are probably on the floor with the little ones too. Hoping all goes well for Jim today.
CJ, those garages can really fill up in a hurry - kind of like the spare room closet that I am dealing with now. I have given up on finding the item I was looking for, and think I must have already given it. I did find some thing else that I will give. I'd buy these things when I would see them, thinking they would make a good auction item, and then forget and get something else. I could send a lot of things, but that wouldn't be good either. I did hear from Jen last night and they will be coming the night before TG so I have a deadline to get things put back together again, and that is probably a good thing!
Mamma, I would rather stay on DST all year than ST - as you know, I'm not much into morning light, but sure like it staying light longer in the evening. I know, we all have our idea's and that's not what it's all about - It needs to be what works for most. I can still have an opinion though.
IC, good to have those filers changed.

Goodmorning grannies, it's a cloudy chilly morning with+ the promise of sunshine and temp in the upper 60s this afternoon. Sounds good to me!
Laurie, Woohoo with you! What ever happened to those pages of chat we used to have? I know there are many changes but I sure do miss those times. Looks like you manage to stay busy with lots of things and people! Sitting in the dark with my coffee it the very best time of the day.I love the quiet morning as the sun comes up and the day begins. Cookies sound good I'll have a couple with my coffee!
CJ the most difficult part of meals is planning what to have. I had a dh that wasn't much help with this either. The apple crisp was a good choice!
Mamma hope the golf cart keeps running smoothly with no more problems for you
IC good to hear that Christina is under a Drs care I hope she is well soon
DST has never been a problem for. The first day I might need some adjustment then it's ok. I hear both sides of this and 6 months of each is not too bad for either. I do hate to think of the school kids waiting for buses on cold dark mornings.
Nothing much happening here today. DSIL is mowing the grass prob for the last time.The sun is peeking out might be a nice afternoon.
Just the usual stuff for today. A few things to do then it will be kindle and me.

I still have a few minutes to say "good morning." It's cloudy and we must have had some rain as the deck is wet. The sun came out then hid again as quickly as it came out. As for DST vs. EST, I can live with either one but I wish they would put it at one or the other and leave it there. There's 24 hours in a day, they can't change that. I have an appointment with the cardiologist this afternoon and also a pacemaker check up. DD will take me.

CJ I have a one car garage and it's hard to keep from putting things in there. I want my car in there especially in the winter time. So, have you decided what supper will be?
MAMMA Does your park have the porch sale or are you doing your own? I'm glad the GC is still working and hope it continues.
ICOOK Did the inspectors ever come to your place? It's nice maintenance takes care of the filters and other things for you.
GREENBACK So will the thanksgiving meal be the traditional or are there other spoken requests? It's great just to be together.
GRAMMY My grass was mowed for the last time a week ago. And vents closed etc. DSIL does that for me. I like early a.m. but I don't get up as early as you do.
Time to get moving, something to eat??? and then be ready to go to appointment.

This morning I found a CPA to help me straighten out my SS tax deductions for next year. I have an appointment for Monday. This year I'm royally screwed to put it mildly. I can't believe I wasn't asked how much I wanted taken out for taxes when I was at the SS office in January. I should not have assumed. Grrrrrrrrr. Mark always took care of our tax stuff, I handled all the other financial stuff. After Monday I will have a better idea of what to do and not trust SS office for help again.
Before I left this morning I made an apple spice dump cake. Not sure I like it, I think I should have used a white or yellow cake mix instead of a spice cake. The spice taste is too strong for me. I sampled a little corner. It made a big 9 x 13 pan so I'll share some with Mike and Patty and Phylis too. I surely don't need that much!!!
Now the wind has gotten really wild. OH nuts I have two rugs on the porch that I shook out, now I'll have to shake again. I did a hit and miss job on the floors. Tomorrow after I take Mandy to the groomer I'll do a good job on the floors. Then she won't get in my way or me hers.
Elle, the porch sale is a park thing. Just not sure when, or if it will happen again this year. If not I'll do it myself.
Time to find something for lunch now. Chilly and windy may call for a soup lunch.

Just about ready to leave for my appointment -
Ellie, the kids will come here and stay and then we will go to her DF & DSM's on TG day. Last time I went, I took the pineapple salad with the sugared pretzel's along and her DF really liked it, so I will make that again this year and I always make pumpkin bars because that is what Jen would request for dessert. Easy enough. She likes that better than pie.

Good evening. Where has the day gone? We got Mike showered and it went a bit better today, but catnapping was the best way to describe our sleep last night. But, hopefully he will be losing his "attachment" tomorrow. We did hear some wonderful news today--the tissue samples that were removed and sent off for biopsy show NO CANCER! PTL, HALLELUJAH! GOD IS GOOD!
I ran to town today to deposit a check and to get him some sweatpants to wear to the doctor tomorrow. The man does not own a pair and really didn't want any, but that will be better than him wearing pajama pants out in public and jeans are not an option right now--which is all he ever wears. He wore pajama pants to the hospital for the surgery, but that was different. If you ask him what he wants for a gift and he won't say, I just say, OK, you're getting dress pants then and, by golly, he usually comes up with something or says "I'll just take them back and get something useful" LOL
I had my walk this morning and, oh my, are the colors beautiful right now, but the leaves are falling in volume now and it won't last long. Then, I ran to town, got back, unloaded, fixed lunch, we worked about a half bushel of the apples into sauce and will do the other half after we get back from the doctor tomorrow. I then made a big bowl of macaroni salad and cooked a small pork butt that I got on clearance at the grocery store and just finished pulling it and we will have that for sandwiches with our macaroni salad tomorrow. Tonight will be pork chops and noodles in a creamy mustard sauce so I had better get on that.
Wishing all a wonderful evening. We are supposed to be cooler starting tomorrow here.

What wonderful news, Debbie - - - I'm sure just knowing that will make the healing and sleeping go much better now! I am so happy for you all.
Now if we get equally good news on Jim, Laurie's brother it will be a really great day!
