Good morning grannies. It's a sunshiney morning! No rain or snow for several days. It was a chilly 26* this morning but it will be warming to the low 50s this afternoon. Thanks for the coffee this morning. Hope mom gets a good report from the Dr visit.
I so happy with the warmer days, the rummage sale will be Friday and Saturday. Ladies will be coming to help with the sorting and placement of things. DD has asked me to fix lunch for about 12 people.Since it will be a bit chilly out there instead of sandwiches she has asked me to make a pot of chili to go with the sandwiches. That sounds good for a cold day and should keep me busy all morning. I'm old and slow so I don't move very fast now but it will be ready on time.
Time for me to get ready to start my work

Good morning. A chilly 55º when i got up and warming to 86. So funny, a/c in the afternoon and heater in the evening. Last night before bed I put an afghan on the bed to keep my legs warm. It helped a lot but by morning half was on the floor. At least my feet were still covered. Even with the warmer temps rolling in the next 4 to 5 days, the nights will be quite chilly in the 50's. So I'll be putting the winter quilt on the bed this morning. At least that won't fall off the bed. Walking Mandy down I was dressed like an eskimo including earmuffs. My ears can't tolerate any cold, so I keep them covered when I can. I don't care what it looks like I don't dress for fashion I dress for the weather, hot or cold. LOL
CJ, have a good shopping trip with your mom. How far does she live from you?
Grammy, chili does sound like a good idea for the lunch. All I need with chili is crackers or corn bread. Mmmmm.
I forgot about a piece of cod in the fridge so that will be my lunch today. I don't want to throw it away, it's too expensive. Per pound it costs about the same or more than hamburger. Geesh. I can remember when it was cheap. But not much is anymore
More coffee then dig out the bed quilt.

Good Morning Ladies - - - Nice and sunny for a change today and 33. Hope it warms up nicely today, and sounds like it will be a nice weekend. CJ, thanks for the coffee, always a welcome treat, especially in the morning. Hope your mom's appt. will go well, with good news. IC, sorry to hear that Christina is having trouble with her legs - I know you enjoy and depend on her visits. Grammy, chili will be a good treat to those ladies working in the garage. I hope you have a good turnout of buyers and most of the things are rehomed! Mamma, I tried that trick with throwing a throw over my bed a couple of weeks ago and had the same results as you - - Mostly on the floor. I am now enjoying my flannel sheets and they keep me nice and warm without being to hot. I love the softness of them. I have no plans for the day, so will see what happens as the day progress's. I should make a KS run. I haven't left the house since last Sat. and then only did a pick up order. It seems to get easier to stay in - I never though I would say that!

I am not doing much today. I worked so hard in my laundry room. Didn’t realize I had so much stuff. Grammy, my family loves 🌶️ chili any time of the year. Elle, I hope your birthday was good. I am right behind you. Jane, hope your days are going good. And, I thought of you yesterday when I made oatmeal. Mamma, hope they get your car fixed. CJay, did I say your little ones are adorable? ICook, hope Christine gets to feeling better soon. Debbie, how are you? I know you are probably busy.
I think I will get myself off of here. Take care. Be back later.

CJ, sorry I misread. I too hope your moms doctors visit goes well.
Jane, I toss and turn so much during the night and such terrible night sweats that I can't use flannel sheets, I stick to them. As a kid I loved it when mom would change to our flannel sheets. So soft and cuddly.
Carolyn, my car runs great. It's my golf cart that is a a royal pain in the butt.
The other day I got a very nice surprise. The place where Mark used to work sent me some good news. He had some money in a 401K that he hadn't taken out. To some people it's not much but to me it's like a million bucks. It will help out now, even though it won't last for years. What a blessing from God.
The winter quilt is now on the bed ready for tonight and the cold nights ahead. I even took the dust mop under there to get what Annie can't. I have like 4 totes under the bed so it is next to impossible to clean under there without removing all the totes. And that's not going to happen. That is way too much work for me anymore.
I also washed some rugs this morning and they are now drying on the lines. I'll do more rugs tomorrow. I've only got two lines and can't put all the rugs on one line, or down they would go.

Christina legs were pretty good today. She tries to stay off them as much as she can. She did the cleaning. We got out a little bit. Only time I get to get out is when she is here. We had to fax the claim form & invoice to Nationwide for Tinker's vet visit. I forgot to bring the form when we were at the vet on Tuesday. Christina knew where to go to get them faxed. Cheaper there driving to the vet as they do it for me.

Oh what a day. I got a letter informing me that Mark still had some money in a 401K. Not all that much but that was good news. A rollover works best, so that's the plan. Then I decided I really should do some bookkeeping as long as I had numbers in my head. What I found is that the IRS really hates single people. I just barely make ends meet, less income but the same expenses and they think I'm rich. I think I'll need some help, this is way beyond my comprehension. After two hours I couldn't even see straight anymore. Now to find help that I can afford.
Lunch turned out ok, but not a fan of fish. At least it was cod so I could swallow it. hehehe Supper will be left over hotdish/goulash. I don't feel like cooking anymore.
I have a feeling I'll be dreaming of numbers tonight. So I had better not count sheep to fall asleep, I don't need anymore numbers going through my head.
When Mandy and I came back from her afternoon duty, I locked up the cart. But now I'm thinking a tootle tonight would be nice. Oh well, I can always unlock and lock again if I choose to go for a ride.
See y'all tomorrow. Nighty night.
