Yesterday I had to call the golf cart shop yet again. It is running worse each day. He thinks it's bad batteries but will check with the techs and call me Monday. So last night I plugged in the cart and hope that it runs better today. I will want different batteries either way. I rely on that cart for many things that I don't want to or can use my car.
Sheets are off the bed and in the washer, Mandy has been out and now napping on the porch. Another hot day so I plan on running a couple errands, just to get out of the house, this morning. Annie needs to be let loose on the floors today too. I'm glad she can help me, even though she can't get everywhere, but she does get to places that are hard for me. Elle, I hope you have nicer weather today. I'll send you some sunshine and heat.

Good Morning....
Started out dreary, sun came out for a few minutes, then turned dreary again. It rained off and on yesterday, but did manage to get the kids outside for a little bit. Teddy is talking more and more every time we see him. Putting little sentences together. He gets his point across....LOL
Grammy...glad to hear your DB did well with his procedure.
Lauriet....sounds like a very busy day yesterday. You accomplished a lot.
Icook...the inspections are necessary, but I see your point in having so many and being so picky.
Mamma...hope they get that cart fixed like they should have from the beginning. Very frustrating for you.
Talking about inspections, they don't do those where DMIL lives. They do have a daily cleaning service and always people coming in to do something. She doesn't like that they just walk in, but that's the way they operate...and she can't hear when they do knock. She is in an independent living facility, but do offer lots of services for a fee. We have a service set up that they come in and make sure she takes her morning meds.
Hope everyone enjoys the day. We are hoping to make it to a cider mill today or tomorrow.

No sun today & definitely feels like fall. Calling for pretty strong winds tomorrow. Next week a warm up again with temps. in the 60's. There have been articles in the local paper about snow fall this winter. Calling for around 30 inches with the possibility of snow next month.
It's the weekend so dusting for me. I'm making a pot of pepper pot today or tomorrow.

Goodmorning grannies, it's a bright sunshiney morning!! No rain or clouds till late afternoon. Temp was in the 40s and will stay in the upper 50s today.
Mamma it's so frustrating to have something repaired and find out it still doesn't work right. Hope it gets done and they don't find anything else wrong with the G. Cart. I was ready to buy one till I discovered my leg wouldn't bend enough to allow me to drive. I need an adjustable seat. I prob could find one with some searching and more money
CJ what fun to be there as Teddy learns to speak in sentences not just words. Its always exciting to watch the little ones grow.
My cleaning lady was here and did some cleaning for me. Some places I just can't get to in my decrepit old age and she does a nice job. Sometimes she needs a little more instruction and I try to introduce new things slowly.
Nothing going on here that means I might be able to finish my book!

Cloudy, dreary and supposed to get some rain again this afternoon. I'm wanting some sunshine.... I have a load of clothes in the washer and one more to go. I need to feed the finch, make dressing for broccoli salad, clean the family room and kitchen, and dip macadamia nuts in almond bark. Yummy! Tomorrow night is Prime Timers at church so the broccoli salad is for that. I've been sleeping later this past week or so. We change time in a few weeks so I wonder if I'll wake up earlier?? LOL
MAMMA Thank you for the sunshine and heat. I can use some of each one. LOL Doggone it! they need to get that cart fixed and do it right!!! That's one thing about not having our spouses, they probably would take care of that situation. I have some back yard lights that aren't working, thanks to DSIL, LOL, and he doesn't know how to fix them and I don't either. But one way or another, they'll get fixed sooner or later. I hope.
CJ I chuckled when you said Teddy gets his point across. They definitely have a way to let us know what they want.
ICOOK We're supposed to be 70* Tuesday and little or no chance of rain. I hope it is that nice. I did some dusting yesterday so that's done for now.
GRAMMY Are the "kids"going to the game? It sounds like the weather is perfect for it. Our channels have changed here now for who knows why! but they're going to paying for streaming etc. I'm angry!!
Time to check the mail and get the "to do" list moving.

Do any of you want some heat sent your way? We just hit 102ยบ!! Oh I can hardly wait for next week when we are in the 80's.
The sheets have been changed, washed and put away. Ran to the $tree and the 99cent Store for a couple items. Winning an argument with my arms Mandy got a much needed bath. Goodness but she was so dirty. She was scratching too much so I knew the dirt was bothering her. She was even wagging her tail during her bath. hehehe After I dried her the happy little girl kept jumping up and off of my lap like she was high on life. LOL I was laughing so hard it hurt. Shortly after, I took her down to go potty.
Now I'm just resting my arms from all my morning chores. The deserve and need the rest. I made myself a caramel, mocha iced latte' and watched a couple episodes of "Bull". Now to see what I can dig up for supper tonight.
I'm sure this will be the last post in the neighborhood for the day. The sidewalk sure rolls up early. So, Good night and God bless!

Good afternoon/evening to all. It was a beautiful day for an early morning drive to St. Clair, MO, for Emmett's playoff football game at 10:30. We knew it would be at least a two-hour drive, so my alarm and Mike's both went off at 5:30 a.m. this morning and we left the house at 7:00, got some breakfast at Hardee's, picked up some fresh donut holes for the kiddos, and got on our way. Emmett and his team played so hard, but lost by a score of 13-7 so his 5th grade season is done. All the boys were tearing up and hugging their moms, dads, and Maws Maws and Paws Paws, as they had worked and trained and played so hard, but it was not to be--at least not this year.
We met in Gerald, MO, at an old grist mill turned into a bistro for lunch and then went our separate ways. I have been out and picked up the walnuts that fell since yesterday--four more 5-gallon buckets full! Mike estimates that I have a bit over a pickup bed load in the trailer and more are still falling. At least now, it is just keeping up with them since I got the original pickup done over this week. Mike has packed to leave early tomorrow for our trip to Pawhuska, OK, and is now putting the bale spike on the Bobcat as his brother was baling the hay that Mike cut Thursday and Mike doesn't like to leave the big bales sitting in the field as they kill the grass where they sit if left too long. I need to pack now and somehow need to convince myself that the dusting, vacuuming and mopping that have been put on hold while I did so many outside chores this week will be OK if left to do when we get back. I do hate to leave a dirty house, though!
Last night was Drew's second to last basketball game and we travelled to Belle, MO, for that. It was both boys and girls--varsity and junior varsity--so the games didn't get over until after 9:00, Jessica ordered pizza from Casey's and we went to the gym they own there in Belle with that and ate pizza with them before driving home and getting here about 11:30. It was a short night, but, oh my, did our Drewbie Doo (Drew) play well last night. His coach left him in the entire game while subbing others in and out, and he led the team in scoring, rebounding, and steals. With 9 seconds left, he rebounded the ball at one end of the court, dribbled all the way down to the other end, and made a beauty of a jump shot that was nothing but net just as the buzzer rang. We were proud fans for sure. His last game is Monday night, but, although we hate to miss, we don't want to hurry back from Oklahoma just for that. In fact, we have decided we will probably stay somewhere on Monday night and not come back until late Tuesday, it's too far to drive to not enjoy some other nearby sights while we are in the area. It's a three hour drive from Pawhuska, but I would like to go to Blake Shelton's Ole Red restaurant and music venue in Tishimingo, OK, but we will see if I can get in all the sights at the Mercantile and the Pioneer Woman's merchandise store on Monday before deciding what we will do. Also, Mike's brother that is the pastor and suffered with both cancer and the aneurysm that nearly killed him almost two years ago, pastors and lives in Granby, MO, near Joplin, so we hope to be able to have a visit with him as we head back home.
Grammy, so glad your brother's heart procedure went well!
Laurie, you keep the roads utilized in your area as much as we do in ours! You are my sister from another mother! LOL.
CJ, your Penny and Teddy and our Josie and Amelia would have quite a time together. Amelia never quits talking and Josie has been talking in full sentences since she was a year old. DD#2, their mom, prays or peace an quiet. By the way, Amelia got tested for the gifted program at school this week. She told her mom that she had the best time at the tests because they actually asked her questions that she had to think about before answering--apparently she has been getting her work done so quickly in class that she has been assisting the teacher in helping the others in class with their lessons. While DD is pleased she is helping out, she wants her to be challenged and was happy to agree to the teacher's suggestion that she be considered for the gifted program. Amelia doesn't know that is what she is being tested for, she just thought it was a new part of first grade instruction. That way, she isn't disappointed if she is not accepted into the program. GrammyOH, she is just like your smart great granddaughters!
Then there is Eli and Drew. Eli has Ds for "Done" and the school doesn't try to help out even with his 504 plan and he despises school which breaks my heart. Drew is about the same and only tolerates school for sports. Thankfully, Trinity, loves school, much to her brother's disgust--LOL. Emmett, being #2's child, is also very bright and his mother stays on top of everything school wise and I am convinced Josie will follow her bubba and big sissy. DD#1 has been so upset with the school and their lack of concern and help for Eli that she has just about thrown in the towel and is just hoping to get him through to graduation and onto some trade school.
Time to go pack, love to all and have a great evening!
