Good Morning....
Gray and cold this morning. Rain is moving in this afternoon and will go on till Saturday. I see next week we might make it to the mid 60's.
The colors in the trees are really pretty right now. Yesterday we went for a nice walk in our favorite place. It was absolutely beautiful. And the best part is we were the only ones there except for another couple we passed going the opposite way.
Lunch out with my mom and her friend was fun. We were both happy to finally meet. First thing she says to me..."OMG you look just like your mom"......LOL Well, I do.
Trying to think of something for supper using chicken breast. I'll have to look through my recipes and find something.

Glad you had a good lunch and visiting time!
Not long ago, I diced up some chicken breast and just stir fried it and added frozen broccoli and only salt & pepper, and I really enjoyed that and it was really quick.

Moving Greenback' post to here......
Not much happening here yet, but wanted to say Hello, since I will be gone for most of the day, enjoying lunch with the 3 HS friends. I'm hoping the sun will come out and it will be a beautiful day for a drive. I haven't been out of town since last Wed. when I went to LaCrosse, and there was no color then - hope it's not gone now! I'm just finishing up my coffee - only one today, and my toast and a cutie. That will have to hold me until we eat, usually about 1:00. I need to head to the shower as soon as my coffee is done!

Good sunny morning.
Nice and cool right now but the afternoon will be hot. We will be in the 100's until Monday when we fall into the mid to low 80's. I'm so ready for some cooler weather.
A load of dark clothes are in the washer this morning. I'm thinking of taking the whole load to the clothes lines down by the laundry room. It won't take long for them to dry down there in the sun, so I can still beat the heat. Actually the hottest time of day now is around 4, two hours before sunset. Shorter days, shorter times of high heat.  I love fall, even down here with no pretty fall colors. But I really do miss the pretty fall colors.

Good morning to all. It is chilly and cloudy here in central MO. I just got back from my walk and those hills aren't getting any easier yet! Going out to pick up more walnuts, this time down in the field where Mike mows, after I have chatted with you. Mike is outside mowing the barnlot and will cut hay as soon as the dew is off. His brother started cutting here at our place last night, but didn't have enough daylight to finish. Mike loves tractor time, so he is looking forward to it.
CJ, I just posted a recipe for Slow Cooker Hawaiian Chicken which I made on Monday and we had leftovers from it for supper last night. We really liked it, it was very simple, hearty and made enough for two meals and we still have at least one generous serving left over.

Mama, a big change in temps coming for you--I know you can't wait. I am loving the cooler temps and lack of humidity, here, too.

Hello all, the coffee pot is empty, but I'll make more if needed. I slept in and it was great; then, went to get out of bed and slid right out on to my butt. I've got on sleep pants that have a bit more nylon or polyester or something in them and whoopsie! The Yeti didn't like the sheets I have, so since he's aa grown up and has a credit card-buy what. you want. I wasn't thrilled that it was the "My Pillow" brand, but not my circus nor my monkeys. They are a somewhat loud plaid pattern, kind of grows on you though-maroons and all. I wiped out on the hill the other day moving rocks, so that's twice in a week. Such a klutz, but knew I was going down and just went with it. Less chance of hurting something.
We had chicken on Sunday and I think he cooked a whole flock, so we are still eating it. Two nights ago I asked what he wanted for supper: chicken or chicken. He replied he'd like to try the chicken, good choice!
Today is a marathon of volunteer stuff. Yeti: 1-3 volunteer appreciation lunch (I am going with), then I have two meetings back to back (the second one has supper) and he has one after. Whew! Trying to determine where I'll go to wait for him. Either Dunkin' Donuts or Brigid's Pub.

GrammyDebbie...your recipe sounds really good. I think you could add some pineapple chunks to it too. I don't think I have any pineapple juice so I might save this recipe till next time. YUMMY.

Mamma...Fall is my favorite time of year too. My DS#1 & DDIL are doing a river raft campout in AZ. Don't remember the name of the river or how far in AZ they are. They are with another couple. They are very adventurous.

Good morning grannies, a cloudy, chilly day with temps in the low 60's this afternoon with some showers this afternoon.
A busy morning for me, there is to be a rummage sale benefitting the family I told you about yesterday, it will be here in a couple of weeks. Due to other things scheduled a their church it can't be there so it will be here. We do have a 3 car garage with space for things in case of rain!. I have been busy purging this morning. If something hasn't been used or worn for the last year it must be time to let it go! Someone is here to do some sorting today so I can get it moved to the garage and out to here..

It's rainy here too. Just a nasty weather day. Yesterday was sunny, in the mid 60's and enjoyable. I had breakfast with a friend of many years this morning. We actually met at 11:00 and I didn't get home until 1:30. We had a lot to talk about I guess. LOL She's a former patron of mine. This has been a busy week but nothing really new. All my outside things are put away and the plants are done now too. I still have finch and they do need food but it's raining and I think they'll wait for another day or so before getting fed. DD#1 and spouse are in the Smokey's. She sent me a picture of 2 coffee mugs and told me to choose one. So, I think I'll be having a new mug in my cupboard next week. LOL I need to get rid of some, but I enjoy the new ones.
CJ The trees here are really pretty now. I think this might be their peak week for color. I bet you enjoyed meeting your mom's friend and now you know who's helping to keep an eye on your mom.
GREENBACK Have a great time with your HS friends. How many years has it been since you have known them?
MAMMA There's no hanging out clothes here today. It's been raining since early morning here and supposed to go through the day. I'm glad you're little cart is working for you.
DEBBIE Healthy choice has a frozen dinner that's rice, pineapple and chicken, sweet/sour. I really like it, but that's being a cheater and DD (the nurse) shames me because there's a lot of sodium in it. I need to look at your recipe as I think I might have all the ingredients I need to make it with less salt.
LAURIE Your view from the deck is beautiful even if it is foggy.
GRAMMY I love the heart of your family! What's the project that Kathy is working on?
I haven't done anything but I think it's going to be a nap. Maybe I can dream about some energy to get something done!! LOL

No sun here today. Feels & looks like fall. Christina was here & cleaned good. She gave Tinker a bath. Vet wants her to have baths for her allergies. Weekends are my cleaning days to dust & swiff. Getting an inspection tomorrow. I hate them One a year is enough for me, but I get at least three.
CJ I get a lot of chicken meals from Meals On Wheels, so I don't cook chicken to often. I make a lot of chicken soup in the winter & chicken 'n' dumplings.
Elle I love the smokies. Earl & I always enjoyed the shows in Pigeon Forge. His favorite was the Comedy Barn & mine all the ones that had ELVIS impersonators. I saw an ELVIS coffee mug I want. Not to drink from. Just to look at. Handle is a guitar.

ICOOK I want to go back to the Smoky's so bad but there's so memories for me. It would be bitter sweet but I really would like to go back one more time....just for 'old time sake'. Why am I not suprised that you want an Elvis mug? LOL
