Good Morning....
Another gray day but we are starting a little warm up for a few days. I saw next week we could be in the 60's. That might be the last hurrah for this year.
Nothing planned yet for the day. I'll see what comes along.
Have a great day...........

'Morning all. I was not scheduled today and got called at 7:42 for the other school. I tried a seldom used word today, "no." Said I couldn't come in. I woke up at 4, I've felt kind of yucky for a couple of days, so I took a Covid test (negative). There are some things I need to do here and the Yeti needs some help outside too, so that'll be my day. Work tomorrow, Thurs is a busy day with meetings for some things we volunteer to do, then to the farm Fri night through Sun a.m. I guess the neighbor is coming over for coffee before he helps the Yeti with something, better make some coffee cake or muffins or something. Blessed be everyone.

Good morning A nice morning for our walk to the pet area. Mary and her babies were there and so happy to see us. It's comical. Bill was on the other side with his dog. All was fine until Bill lit up his cigarette, then I had to leave. The smell gives me a headache and I start to cough. Yes, I smoked for many years, but quit over 20 years ago and now I can't take the smell. I so enjoy talking to Mary but had to cut it short today. It didn't seem to bother Mandy that it was time to leave.
CJ, nothing planned here yet either. I'll just enjoy my coffee and pop tart for now.
Laurie, good to hear that you can say the word "NO". Try and get some rest so you don't end up sick in bed or worse.
Yesterday I did get the food pantry straightened out. Some food got tossed due to expiration and I'll never use it. Some stuff was gotten because Mark liked it. I think I saved it so that his not coming home didn't seem so final. Well it looks like it's final. I don't cook much anymore nor do I eat the same as when he was alive.
Doors and windows open until it gets too warm. Another hot day in Yuma.

Good morning to CJ, Laurie and the other grannies yet to visit the neighborhood. It is a gorgeous day here, I wore a jacket for my walk but was more than ready to shed it when I got back to the house. I've decreased my walk distance yesterday and today to two miles because here at home I walk on the blacktop road and it is quite hilly the direction I go, so I figure I am getting about the same exercise in a shorter distance especially since I washed some windows yesterday, will try to do at least one more today and, when Mike gets back with the flatbed trailer from hauling off scrap metal this morning, he is going to put the sides on the trailer and I am going to start picking up walnuts.
We won't pick it up until tomorrow, but yesterday, we bought Mike a "new" truck. It is not a new one, but is new to us and a much more recent model than his current 2004. It is a one-ton Ford (of course), diesel, and will do everything he wants it to do and more. The dealership is having a very nice flexible hitch for gooseneck trailers and 5th wheel campers installed in the bed for us today. We both gulped real big and pulled the trigger to do it. Hard to believe a truck, and a used one at that, costs three times as much as our first house did! Our savings is taking a major hit, but, oh my, the interest on payments these days, no way! It should last him for many years to come.
Today is ballgame day for Drew in Vienna (his home school) and we will head that way this afternoon. Mike may go after lunch to help DSIL#2 who is taking theirs cows and calves to the vet this afternoon and then separating cows and calves between their two farms for weaning. It will be a noisy night for them as the cows will be mooing for their babies for a while.
CJ, enjoy your day, regardless of what you decided to do, especially if it nothing except swinging!
Laurie, good for you, girl, on saying "no"! Glad you don't have Covid and hoping you feel better soon.
Time to tackle something until my trailer gets back here to start picking up walnuts. Wishing all a terrific Tuesday!

Good morning grannies, it's almost 11:00 where is every one this morning? I was late getting up I slept until 7:30 for me that's late! Another dark, dreary and chilly day with the temp staying in the 50s sure feels colder than that. Not even a peek at the sun today.
CJ sometimes having a day with no plans is a good day, Just do what you want to and take it easy. Work will always be there waiting for you!
Laurie, a big HURRAH! Happy you added a new word to your vocabulary, A little word but it can be very useful at times. Enjoy the day off and practice saying NO.
Nothing planned here either of course, when you reach the age of 90 you just hope to get out of bed and do what you can.
My 92 year old brother is having the same heart valve procedure as I had done, His is scheduled for today A little prayer for his recovery, please.
Now I'm off to do a few things then find my blankie and Kindle

Good Morning Ladies - - - It's another beautiful day in my corner of the hood. 48 and sunny - I can take that. I deceided not to go to coffee today - I just didn't think I could deal with the steps and if I did I would irritate my already sore shoulder even more. I really look forward to meeting up with the gals and I thought I probably look forward to it more than the other gals, as they either have mates or kids near by - which I have neither. I told her to tell the gals that I would have it next week, as I would like to remain connected to the group. CJ, hope the sun comes out for you and you can get more swing time in. Laurie, so proud of you to say no - Believe me, it gets easier to do that after a few times. You have some busy days ahead and hope you get to feeling better - - Do you think it's that gallbladder again? Mamma, I think we all eat and cook differently when we are alone. I know we had a lettuce salad almost every night and now I seldom have lettuce unless I are going to have taco's. Not because I don't like it, but since it has gotten more costly, and I usually end up throwing part of it, I find I use more frozen veggies. I like broccoli, green beans, and brussels sprouts and dH did not, so we never had them, but I do fairly often. I would never serve sandwiches as the main part of the meal, but now that is all I have somedays. Debbie, you will be getting lots of exercise picking up those walnuts - good for the waist line and the arms. Congrats on the new truck! Hope your game today will be a win!
Grammy, you snuck in while I was typing - - You worked hard all your years and now you deserve this time of rest. Prayers for your DB. Hope his go's as well as yours did.

It is cold this morning @ 44 degrees. I have had breakfast, eggs and toast. I need to go to the grocery store but sales will start tomorrow at Save a lot. My baby came to see me. I think he is cutting teeth. Not much going on here. I will just wish everyone a good day. ☕️☕️

PTL, my golf cart is back home. And just in time for the hot day ahead. No charge either. They fixed the brake light pad like they were suppose to the first time and now I pray that the stalling issue has been corrected too. If not it will go back. But I'm going to try and be positive that all will be good. Mandy even recognized the cart and was wagging her tail. Now I think we will go for a ride to see how it runs.
