Good Morning....
It's going to be a gray day with the wind picking up today.
Yesterday I got all my Christmas cactus' in the little room in the basement. My really big one that the squirrel kept jumping into and breaking it, is looking kind of sad. I hope it can recover. I doubt it will get any flowers this year as I had repotted it over the summer. But maybe the others will flower.
Not much happening yet today....wishing everyone a great day. I have coffee ready..............

It has been a long time since I have come to the Neighborhood. I do sneak in every so often and I can feel the Granny prayers
I will try to tell you what has happened but I have trouble with my typing ( that is for another time)
My husband Phil has been very Ill, He has a spinal cord injury, he has had surgery and we still don’t know if he will ever be able to walk again. Right now he is in a nursing facility and I am still in our home,
We don’t know if we will ever be able live together
The nursing facility is close to our home, but that doesn’t make it any easier
I miss you all, I will stop in when I can
Keep praying for us

Good Morning Ladies - - - It's 44 and finally sunny - hang in there, CJ, it will be coming your way! We had so many gray damp and windy days that the sun is really appreciated now. Otherwise, not much new at my house. Yesterday went by in a hurry, I took a much needed nap early afternoon then called Darcy for our Sunday chat, then got another long call and messaging with Jen - all of a sudden it was dark!
CJ, nice to have those plants all in for the winter - I hope your plant will surprise you with beautiful flowers.
Glee, so happy that you stopped in to say Hello and give us the progress report on Phil. I knew he was in the NH, but had hoped he had been able to return home again by now. Do stop by whenever you feel up to it, as we are a great support system. Hugs
Tonight is the Voice again, so will have something I want to watch.

Good morning
Not quite as cool this morning, no jacket or long pants needed. But it's still better than it's going to be this afternoon. We are back in the 100s for most if not all of this week. UGH! So I will enjoy the mornings. Mandy is getting used to walking in the morning. She no longer looks for the cart. hehehe She just prances down the street like a princess in a parade. People comment on her prance, she doesn't just walk, she actually prances. It's really cute.
Another day of nothingness. Too many snowbirds here now so it's not even fun to go for a ride or just browse in a store. Yes, I know, this is where we chose to live. That doesn't mean I have to like all the extra traffic and people. Not every place is perfect. hehehe I love the weather and in the summer it is such a friendly place to live and it's more affordable than back home in MN. So far the new neighbors are quiet and friendly. But I hear she needs to take golf cart driving lessons. LOL OMG, you don't want to be on the road when she is. She swerves all over the road. Jill thinks she is drunk, but I think she is learning. LOL I've never seen her drive, Jill is always complaining to me via text. LOL I don't spend a lot of time staring out the windows. hehehe
Oh I just remembered what I should do today, sweep the porch and clean out the cabinet with the dishes. I didn't get at that cabinet this spring. Good that gives me something to do. 
Glee, I'm so saddened to hear about your hubby. I hope you can feel all the grannie hugs and prayers. Like CJ said we all will listen. (((HUGS))) Take care of yourself!!

 Wow, CJ, that is a lot of cacti!! They look like Thanksgiving cacti. Even here in the desert I can't get one to grow. Not the right climate or amount of the right sunlight. I love your plants!!!!!!!!!!
Jane what nice conversations you had. Lincoln just texts, but I would love to just chat live once in awhile. He is always so busy that texting is easier to multitask. A day never goes by though without me hearing from him.
Time to take the garbage down and get my morning tasks done.

Good morning grannies, it's another dark and dreary day with a light sprinkle of rain and the warning of high winds later today. It's even more uncomfortable with the temp staying in the 50s again today.
CJ all those plants look like they have a good place for the winter. DGD is taking care of most of mine for the winter. The cactus plant you gave us at the meeting is still growing but no blooms yet. I would love to see it bloom a reminder of a great time at a grannie meet!
GU what a nice surprise to have you stop by the GN this morning! I was so sorry to hear that your dh is in the NH with the spinal problem and even more saddened to hear that he may not be home again. Hugs and prayers for you as you face another difficult time. Life isn't always easy but you are a strong woman and I know you will make it thru this with God beside you. Stop in anytime you can and let us love you and pray for you.
Greenback so nice that you have the Sunday telephone time with dd. Just time for mom and dd to share their weekly activity.
Nothing much happening here today just more of the same ole,same ole stuff. It will soon be lunch time maybe I can find something good in the fridge,

Forgot to tell you that Penny had her first urgent care visit yesterday. Her dad was pushing her on her swing and pushed a little to hard and she flew off and slid across the grass, hitting a rock. Got a good gash in her forehead. It was cleaned and glued back together. DD said she was skipping across the parking lot when they left with a big smile. So I guess she is no worse for wear. She said she was going to tell everyone at school about the glue on her head.
And my Montauk Daisy, the one LINY gave us at one of our meets, is blooming. Looks quite pretty.

Hello! it's another cloudy day, temps in the 50's. Yesterday a.m. it was sunny but it didn't last very long. We had a nice service at church yesterday with 2 being baptized. After church, I had lunch, watched some football then took a nap. I usually like to have a short nap, half an hour at the most. Yesterday it was over an hour. But I didn't have any problems sleeping last night so I guess it was ok. I plan to get groceries this afternoon and many of you are reminding me that my closets, cupboards, and windows need some attention. It's not my priority but one of these days I will absolutely have to make myself get it done.
CJ The cactus are beautiful. Mom had Thanksgiving and Christmas cactus' She had a greet thumb and my sister does too. I used to but gave it up several years ago.
GU My heart goes out to you. Like the other grannies have said, please feel free to come back and share your feelings with us. Like Grammy said, God will help you through this.
GREENBACK Those calls and texts are so precious to us! And they can turn a lousy day into a blessed, happy and joyful day. I hope your sunshine comes my way soon.
MAMMA What a "prancer" Mandy is. Kayli loved to walk too. Today is my garbage day too. I took it out last night.
GRAMMY You said it, samo-samo day. Those days can get quite long, boring and lonely too. But I know each day, we have a purpose and thank God for the ability to breathe and take care of myself.
CJ What an experience Penny had. I bet her dad felt worse than she did. I'm glad she's doing ok. The picture of the daisy is wonderful. Mine never made it.

Not much going on here today.
I had breakfast/lunch about 12. Had a blt and had to sample the cake I made yesterday.
I plan to take most of it to the senior citizens outing on Thursday.
CJay, these little ones sure can bounce back quick.
It looks wintry out. Was 43 this morning.

Mostly cloudy here today. Sun peeps out once in a while. During the week I'm mostly lazy. My housework is weekends & Christina during the week. Laundry gets done whenever.
CJ I'm glad Penny didn't get injured to badly & she was smiling.
Elle I was awake till after three. Didn't want to get up this morning.
GU So sorry to hear the sad news on your DH. Grannies will be saying prayers for both of you.
Mamma Long pants & a flannel shirt for me. Shorts are being put away.

Got to my appointment to have my nails trimmed - Just as I was getting ready to hit the shower, my retired friend called and I chatted for a little and asked if I could call her this afternoon to visit, so just finished that now. I got my garbage and recycling pushed out of the garage and my neighbor will take it to the curb. I tried to put in an order at Ks, but they got hacked over a week ago and are still trying to get things in order again. I ended up that I had to call them and then they had to come out and get my card. I could pay with it, but not get the points for it.
Mamma, so you have a little princess - "Miss Mandy!" Love that she prances!
CJ, hugs for Penny - sorry to hear about her mishap, but there will be more of them I'm sure. We had more of those calls with Dd than we did with ds -- One would think it would be the other way around.
Ellie, how special to have the 2 baptisms. I'm sure you noticed that it wasn't me giving you the cleaning ideas!!!!!
Carolyn, what kind of a cake did you make this time? I could never cut into something I was going to take somewhere - - even if I know it all won't be needed.
IC, enjoy your restful week.
I haven't changed clothes since I was out and about - - Now I may as well wait a little and then just put my nightgown on early!

I made the cake for here. And to share with my DGS. He loves caramel.
It is a caramel apple cake.
Then when I realized it would be nice to share with the ladies. So, I wrapped 12 pieces individually to take Thursday. We will eat out but I thought I would share. They will be surprised . If I were making it say for a dinner or a gift I would never cut it. But, I love sharing.
It made a large cake. I got 20 nice slices.
I love sweets and don’t need all that in my kitchen.
I should not be baking but I love doing that in the cold weather.
Snow today in the Smokies. 🥶
