Oh, what a dark and dreary morning. A little rain and lots of clouds in the sky, not a ray of sunshine! Temp will stay in the 50s to make it more of a snuggle up day.
I'm waiting for my little cleaning lady to come do some work. A little more to do this time since we just hit the high spots last week. Time to get the robot out to clean a few places, she will like playing with that!
Nothing much going on today but if anything happens I'll be quick to report it here.
Debbie I bet it feel good to be home for awhile and do some family stuff without the rush to get back to the job site.
Carolyn hope you had a nice do nothing day and spent it relaxing.We all need a little time out now and then.
I need to do a thing or two before the cleaning lady gets here

Good Morning Ladies - - - It's just as dark and dismal here too! The deck is wet, but nothing coming down. What a miserable night it would have been to be at a football game last night. I got my grocery order yesterday, and got most of it in the house, and then needed to sit a bit. When I went out to the garage to get a potato for supper, I took the pop out of the car so that job is all done now. They had the little cuties on the one day sale, so I tried a bag and they are very good. juicy and full of flavor. You never know how citrus is until you try it.
Grammy, you and Kathy will have a nice time getting the cleaning all done. Like you, I'm, not expecting much of any interest to be happening here - - I need to hit the shower, but think another cup of coffee will happen first - - No hurry, I have no where to go.

Good morning.
A cool brisk 57º walk to the pet area this morning. Bright sunshine and no wind. Mary and her dogs were there this morning so we had a nice chat. Us chatting gives Mandy some social time and more time off leash. A win wind for all of us.
A load of clothes in the washer and the sheets will be next. Then I need to put the tacks on the new screen of the french doors. I'll need a needle nose to hold the tack so I don't hit my fingers. Hopefully the wood frame wont' be too hard for the tack to go through. One corner has come a little loose so I need to get this done ASAP. Annie will get to the floors when I'm done with the screen. I'll do the places where it can't get to.
My mornings, when I have any ambition, are the busy, afternoons are a do nothing time. It's pretty much always been that way. Afternoons are for fun or sitting. hehehe

Good dreary, cloudy and rainy Saturday! I guess it's good. LOL It's also windy. I don't need to go out but there are a couple of things I need but they can wait. I actually got my cleaning done yesterday. All in one day, that's a first for a long time but I seemed to have the willpower and a little energy so it was time to take advantage of it. I do have laundry to do today but that's the biggest thing on my agenda.
GRAMMY I would love for you to share your little helper! LOL She's truly a keeper and learning more than cleaning in what she's doing. DGS lives in Arlington, how far is that from you? DD should be home from her visiting him tomorrow.
GREENBACK I love the mandarin's. I was told they're the same thing as cuties?? I try to keep them on hand most of the time. Those and grapes are my favorites. What's the latest on your special "little" man? Are you hoping to see them anytime soon?
MAMMA I bet Mandy enjoyed her time to socialize and be leash free. LOL I try to keep busy until after 3-4:00 p.m. Even if it's just a bit of this and that but that's my goal. There's days that doesn't happen though. LOL Be careful when fixing the door!!
I guess I can get the laundry going then it'll be lunch time.

Good Afternoon...
It's a dreary rainy day here, too, at 47*. Not a nice day to have to go out.
DH will be home late afternoon..evening. Whenever he gets here.
Yesterday went really good with the two littles. I told Penny right away that grandpa wasn't home and we would all have to play together.....instead of one on one like we usually do. She was fine with that and it worked out great. I was one tired granny when I took them home. I can't even imagine Debbie and all her grands at her house at once. Yikes.
I have a little more cleaning to do. I need to move my Christmas cacti back inside the house. I've had them in the garage for a couple weeks now and it's time to bring them in. But the room I put them in has become such a horrible "catch-all" space that I need to make some changes. Plus I have another one that I started when the squirrel kept jumping in the pot and breaking off big shoots. I really didn't want another one. Maybe I'll see if DD would like one but with two cats and a dog, it might not last too long..LOL. And I noticed a big spider had taken up residence in one when it was outside. I hope it has moved out before i bring it inside.

Looks like all the grannies are having nasty weather today. Me too. Good day to stay inside. I decided to keep my long flannel nightgown on for the weekend. I made a big pot of ham & bean soup in my crock pot overnight. That will be my supper for a few days. Delores' granddaughter picked her up this morning so can't give her any of the soup. Won't get all the dusting done today, but that's nothing new.

Hi all. I'm home today, which is good as I seem to have gotten a cold that is settled in my chest. I slept in a bit, did a zoom meeting and then called my brother. Had to make a decision on something regarding Dad stuff. I wrote a letter response for it and brother (Jim) and the Yeti are going to proof it. Here I am now but going to run to the basement, bwahahahahaaaaa. Rather slowly take the stairs and get some Halloween stuff out, now or never. Some of the tiny pumpkins accidentally get turned around and ta da! Autumn only! Best get something done or it will be nap time. That, is what the Yeti is doing. BBL, blessed be.

I can’t believe I slept until 1:00.
made a big breakfast/lunch.
It is very windy here but nice. Hope all of you have a wonderful day.

Oh Carolyn...he is so cute. Look at those big eyes! What a sweetie.
DH should be home any minute now. I will hear all about his trip soon.
I got a big chunk of the basement bedroom cleaned and lots of stuff tossed and some bagged for Salvation Army. Tomorrow I will try and move my plants down there for the winter. I'm still not sure they will all fit as this is a small room and the bed takes up most of it.

CAROLYN Thank you for sharing the picture of Elija. How could anyone not fall in love with him. Such a sweetie.
CJ You've done a lot of work since your DH was gone. You'll be happy to see him so you can rest up. LOL I'd love for someone to clean and organize my closets, drawers and cupboards. LOL
I got the laundry done and made butterscotch chip cookies. I didn't have chocolate chips so that's why the butterscotch. But they really are good. The recipe calls for an instant pudding mix and that might be what makes them so good IMO.
