I don't see anyone here yet, so I will unlock the door and turn the lights on. I won't be here long, as I go to La Crosse today for my cancer check up. I am not expecting any issue's, just a routine check up and come back in a year, but then you never know, and that's why we do the check ups. A friend is riding up with, and I have a return to go to Kohls and we will have lunch...
It's a chilly 39, but sunny and looks like a beautiful day before rain moves in tomorrow. Coffee tastes good but I won't have that second cup today.
Not a lot happening here yet today.

Good Morning....
Dreary morning with rain moving in sometime today. Might get to around 60 today but I won't hold my breath.
I posted the link to the Pumpkin Cheesecake pie recipe in Recipes. I didn't use all the pumpkin filling as it just seemed like too much for my pie plate. If you used a deep dish pie dish it would probably fit fine. And you could put it in a pan and cut into bars if you preferred.
Greenback....wishing you a good report at the check up.
Yesterday I totally cleaned out my linen closet. I got rid of things, put some in a bag for Salvation Army and rearranged and organized what I put back in there. Looks much better at the moment. Not sure how long it will last. Today I might tackle the back bedroom closet that seems to be the overflow of stuff. It has a lot of quilts, throws, blankets and lots of other stuff I didn't know what to do with..LOL And lots of clothes that need to be organized. Many things I don't wear anymore. DH will be in shock if I do get to cleaning it out. Also the pantry in the basement really really needs cleaning out and re-organizing. But that might be another day. That would be an all day project.
DH is enjoying his trip. Today they are heading to Copper Harbor in the Keweenaw Penisula. It's about an 8 hour drive from the beginning of the penisula to the tip. He's been sending me pics of what he's seeing. Very beautiful.
And DS#1 and DDIL are on a 2 week road trip in southern Colorado, Utah and NM. DD is an awesome photographer (she has a photography business) and DS flies his drone. Together they capture magnificent pictures/videos.

Goodmorning grannies, another beautiful day with lots of sunshine and blue skies. Just a light touch of frost here and there with the early morning temp at 36* and we did have a frost warning! Seems a little early for the frost. DGD was hurrying about to get the plants into the over winter places.
Laurie, I thought you had a few days off. If this is your time off maybe you need to get back to work to rest! You seem to be busy as a bee!
Greenback good to know that you are doing so well after the cancer surgery. Give thanks to God He is so great! Enjoy the lunch and time out with your friend.
CJ sounds like dh is having a great time on the camping trip! I have always had lots of closet space but they always seem to need so cleaning out, toss out our rearranging. I think the messy gremlins hide out in dark closets! I couldn't be that messy could I!
Just the usual stuff here today. DD went to on a day trip with her social group, yesterday. They went to lunch and to an orchard. She did get apples along with an apple, no sodium salad dressing for me. She also brought me a nice pc of coconut pie from the place where they had lunch. All the ladies ordered coconut pie so she thought I should have some too. Also an invitation to their lunch next month. One of the ladies is doing the lunch at her house.DD said they all asked her to bring mom.
Tonight is Community concert night that dd,dsil and I usually attend it's a men's quartet. I can't maintain the pace that Laurie does so I'll need some rest time this afternoon

Good morning.
Sunny and a cool 71ยบ. It's so nice having doors and windows open. I'm hoping I won't have to close up so early today. The future forecast is up and down for the afternoons, but nice and cool at night and in the mornings.
Not a good night for sleep again. Around 6:30 I finally had a position without arm pain. But by then it was time to get up. Although I laid there for another 15 minutes. I"m trying to hold off on another injection but not sure how much longer I can wait. The better days and nights keep me from setting up an appointment, and the fact of the cost.
Not much planned for today other than wash towels and Mandy's blankets. I may take the Swiffer to the floors a little bit. I seem to be stepping on crumbs that Mandy has missed.  And I need to clean off the cookie crumbs from my desk top too. 
Jane, good luck today with your check up.
CJ, nice that DH sends you pics and lets you know where he is and that he is ok.
Laurie, you had quite the day yesterday. I had a hard time keeping up with you.
Time to refill the coffee cup.

It was 49* when I got up this morning so put a sweat shirt on. First one of the season. Now it's 59* Might change into a long sleeve flannel shirt. Sun is trying to appear. Getting lots of rain on Saturday, so I'll be inside most of the weekend.
CJ Your doing a lot of cleaning of closets Sometimes you find things you forgot you had.
Grammy Enjoy the concert tonight So nice of your DD to bring you a piece of coconut pie. I make the impossible one occasionally.
Jane Hoping for a good report on your check up. I see my dermatologist next week for my check up. Had skin cancer three times.

Jane, if I were in LaCrosse/Genoa I'd meet you at the Hungry Peddler for lunch, they have the best ever French Onion soup! Instead, I'm getting ready to go to the dentist and then to book club. Did not read the book, I am going to enjoy the friend time.
The Yeti decided to do wood this a.m., so we cut and hauled and stacked a pickup load. THAT was not on my to-do list. I don't know why he won't ask his brother and the kids to help, he was their taxi after school twice this week and then one extra trip. Oh well, at least I don't have to drive them around. He is going to his parents' when I leave for the dentist, his sister is going back to Florida. I'm not planning to go over, I've seen her a few times already, we three-me and BIL's wife and this SIL have differing views that they struggle to see anyone can NOT see it their way as they see it is the ONLY way, so I will just go do my thing.
I got a call regarding Dad stuff today. Just when it seems like one stressed goes away-the furnace is in at the farm, yes! Then, another thing comes up-today's phone call. Also, had a chat with my brother, both he and my sister are having some health issues, I suppose I need to put on my big girl wundies and re-think my health too. There, I'm done whining, thanks for listening, I just needed to say stuff.

Good morning to all. It rained first thing this morning so I haven't had my walk, but I have probably done enough to equal my walk as I try to get ready to go home. The bed has been stripped, sheets, blankets, mattress cover, bedskirt, the shower curtain and a load of towels washed. The sun came out about 8:30 and my car is now loaded to the hilt. Just waiting on Mike to finish up today and we will have a quick bite of lunch and load the trailer with the furniture and load up the fridge. He is hoping to be done by noon today. I have cleaned both bathrooms, and as soon as the furniture is out, I will vacuum and mop and we will be done! Well, I still have to take the cable box and internet modem back to Spectrum, but I will do that on the way out of town. I have my car and Mike will be driving the truck and trailer. We are more than ready to go home! Just hoping we can get home before dark. We can always unload tomorrow.
CJ, thank you for posting the recipe. I may try it for Thanksgiving. I bet the grandkids would like it as well as the adults.
Jane, wishing you a clean bill of health at your checkup. Enjoy your outing.
Laurie, wish I could meet you and Jane and try that soup! Hope the Dad-related issue is resolved soon. Glad Al's furnace is done.
Grammy, yum top both the salad dressing and the coconut pie. You are obviously an excellent mother to have raised such a thoughtful daughter. You will be the guest of honor at the next meeting.
Mama, how long do you have to wait in between injections? I know with my knees and back, it was three months. And, no surgery until 3 months after an injection.

Well, I may try to get part of my walk in before Mike gets here. I'm not good at doing nothing and I'm getting hungry and I don't want to eat until Mike gets here as I didn't pack his lunch and we are cleaning leftovers out of the fridge at lunch, so I think I will go walk until he gets here.

Well, I've emptied the closet floor...LOL Now to figure out what to do with all the stuff. I really don't want to put it back in there. Some will be tossed and some to Salvation Army. And, yes, I did find things I had totally forgotten about. The top of the closet is all quilts and throws/blankets. I really don't need all those throws...so we'll see.
I am finally able to taste food again and was so hungry for a hamburger. So I thawed a half pound of burger and made a 1/4 lb burger. The other half will be a couple meatballs for spaghetti for supper. It tasted so good.
Debbie...were you able to get out of your lease early or did they hold you to it? It will be so nice to get back home again.
Grammy....my mom loves coconut creme pie too. Nice that you are invited to join them next time.
Mamma...hope you can get what you plan done today without too much arm pain.
Icook...yes I found "treasures" in that closet...LOL
Lauriet...hope your day goes well. Sorry you are still dealing with "dad" things.
Back to work....lol
