I got up early this morning. Christina called at 8. Her car won't start, so I won't see her today. Have to reschedule my hair cut appt. I'm not supposed to be driving because of my cataracts. Probably won't be able to reschedule it right away. My hairdresser is always booked way in advance.

Good Morning....
It's a little overcast this morning. Might get a little shower at some time. Temp will only be in the low 50's.
Had a great time with friends yesterday. It's always good to get together. My dessert was a hit. They all liked it. So I guess it was good. I could actually taste it and, yes it was good. Sunday when I made it, I still could not taste that good.
Today I think I will clean out the linen closet. There is so much stuff, stuffed in there...LOL And I need to finish changing my summer clothes to winter things. I wish I had a huge closet so I could keep summer on one side and winter on the other. But that's not the case...so I'll have to do it.
Grammy...I was so happy that all went well for Kathy and the meeting of mom and Leemah.

Good Morning Ladies - - - It's 41 and sunny - - Looks nice out, but I'm sure it will wake me right up when I get out there. I had another sleepless night and didn't need the alarm to get up. I need to run my bars to church and then a friend is coming here and I will drive to the funeral. she doesn't like driving, and thought I could get in my vehicle easier, but I really don't think she wanted to drive where there will be more cars.
Sorry that you have to change your HC, IC - maybe she can get you in before to long.
CJ, glad yo had a good time and the gals liked your dessert. How about posting it on the receipe thread? I'm ready for some pumpkin.

Good morning
Yesterday Mandy got a bath and this morning she is all dirty again. Other dogs to run with created quite a dust storm and it landed on her. But she had fun anyway. I got my errands done yesterday morning, but not my nails, I hope to get that done this morning. I also started pinning on the binding, but am done for a few days now. My arm needs a break and I've got plenty of time, but oh how I hate the mess in the craft room.
Jane, not a good nights sleep here either. I'm sure I'll fall asleep in my chair this afternoon.
CJ, I know what you mean about a small closet. I now have Marks too. But the two combined don't even make a "real" closet. It's a good thing I don't have much for clothes. I've never had such a teeny tiny closet.
IC, good luck getting a new haircut appointment. I need to make appointments for the next 6 months, just like I did with Mandy. The snowbirds are flocking in like crazy now. 
Pork steak, baked potato and peas for lunch today. Supper will be quite small. I'll pass on anything pumpkin, not something I care for.

I got a hair cut appt. for next Tuesday. Glad I didn't have to wait to long. Two appts. that day. 10:30 dermatologist & 12:15 hair cut.
Jane I've had a hard time falling asleep the last two nights. Went on the couch for awhile & fell asleep there. I wake up often during the night.
Meals On Wheels volunteer was here. She got my computer working. YEAH!!!!!!!

Goodmorning grannies, it's another beautiful day with sunshine and blue October skies. It was a chilly morning here with the temp at 35 with white stuff on the grass! Quickly warmed to 52 and staying in the low 60s today.
IC sorry to hear that Christina has car trouble and you have to change your hair cut.
CJ sounds like you had a good day with friends then a nice time with games and a great dessert. Pumpkin always sounds good to me.I'm looking forward to a trip it DQ for their Pumpkin spice frosty. A taste of Fall!
Mamma the screen door was a was a good purchase! Good to catch that breeze when you can!
Greenback I like my car for the same reason, I can get in and out much easier.
I was asked to make corn bread to go with chili for our supper. DD is supposed to cook and has some fun time planned with her ladies fun group. Chili is in the slow cooker but the corn bread needs to be done early so dgd and Soraya can have an early supper before heading to Columbus State. DD teaches and Sorya has a class. Soraya is taking 2 classes this term, smart kid!

Happy Tuesday afternoon to all. It was very chilly when I started my walk at 6:30 this morning and I am glad I had kept a jacket here at the apartment. I did some shopping this morning and it is now quite a beautiful day going to the low 70s.
Mike should be finished with the job here tomorrow! We are going home. Depending on what time he gets off tomorrow, we may be able to load our trailer and go then, or, if he has to work all day, we will load Thursday morning and head to Drew's basketball game in Bourbon, MO, and then go home. Mike hasn't gotten to see Drew play on the middle school basketball team yet and we both would really like to see him play. We both obviously hope that we can get out of here tomorrow, but we will just go with the flow. Needless to say, we both are looking forward to being at home. Mike has quite a list of things he wants to do prior to his surgery on November 6, knowing he will be restricted from lifting, etc., for a few weeks after that.
Grammy, will you be making the corn bread recipe you passed along to me? The cornbread sounds so good (sorry, Jane), but not the chili. I just can't do beans anymore and even if made without beans, it just seems like a case of immediate heartburn to me.
Talking about closets, when we built our house nearly 20 years ago now, the builder told us we had more closets than any other house he'd ever built. But, I seem to keep them all filled. Mike and I both have a walk-in closet, mine is off the master bath and his is off our master bedroom. That will be one of my first jobs to tackle when we get home--cleaning out my closet and I need to be ruthless! Mike has clothes that still fit, but when I look at pictures taken four or five years ago, I realize he is still wearing the same shirts yet today! If you want to see him get mad, just ask him if I should buy him some new shirts. He doesn't like getting new clothes, unless they are work related (and even then he's not very happy about it). And, when he does accept a new shirt, begrudgingly, he declares he is going to throw two out of his closet. But, to be fair, he very rarely wears anything other than jeans, even to church, and he wears his buttoned shirts so infrequently that they do last for a long time. Now t-shirts and work shirts go quickly with welding burn holes, grease, mud, etc., even shoe laces are subject to frequent replacement because welding slag and sparks burn them in two! I know he doesn't have a suit that would fit him right now, but I'm not getting him one until there comes a need for hit. He would be spastic if I brought a suit home for him! LOL
Well, I need to walk up to the office and see if they have made a decision about our lease. Regardless, we are heading home very soon. Hallelujah!

Hello! It was a busy day, I'm beat!!!! I slept through my alarm and a couple of snoozes, but got to my meeting in the nick of time. I had to make a WM stop for Al and then on the way, a truck almost hit an eagle that was having breakfast on the shoulder of the road  , it flew up and almost didn't clear his truck. I reallllllllyyyyy don't want to hit one of those. I did get to my meeting on time and and we covered most of what we needed to. My niece is the secretary but didn't make the meeting so I took minutes too and just got those sent out. After staying there for a couple of hours and doing a few things, I went to my sister's-she fed me lunch, yum! Next was the farm and I dropped off groceries and some soup and biscuits that I brought. We watched a bit of tv and I checked the fridge that I'd tried to defrost. The furnace should be done tonight, the installer is doing it after hours from his regular job. It's good that it's ready as we had a hard frost this morning.
Chili-made the best chili I've made in a while. 2 cans each of chili beans, kidney beans, diced tomatoes, and tomato soup. One can of tomato sauce and Rotel tomatoes. Browned a pound of burger and used a packet of chili seasoning and slow cooked it for a while. #2 makes a corn bread/muffins and adds about a brick of cream cheese, some creamed corn, and caramelized onions, yummmmmmmm!
I got caught in road construction today. The nicest lady was the flag person. Amazingly she worked for the same company as Mr. Crabby Pants who works for the same company and who kind of "waved" at me a couple of weeks ago. No pilot car, cars driving through, going to church where there was a big sign that said "5:00 Church" and wasn't happy about it. I bet the other guys would've been good calling it early on a Saturday night.
There you go-need to make cookies in the a.m. and look over the questions for the book club book that I never got to read, yikes! I have to facilitate the book club. First, dentist appt, then book club. I'm liking having three days off in a row!!!!
